If this Hydra rumor is true then I will be happily anticipating blizzcon August 3rd. I've been reading posts on this thread for the past few weeks, quite interesting. However, I was wondering if anyone has any information about codenames for previous Blizzard games. For instance, if we had an idea about Diablo 2's codename or even codenames from the Warcraft series, we would be able to piece all the information together and try to make some sense about all of this (assuming the "hydra rumor" is true). If we got this information, im sure we would be able to figure out a lot information about the next Blizzard project. Just thought I'd put in my two cents. This is my first post, but i've been an active reader for the past few months. Good work guys.
Argh, one thing, everything in the world can relate to greek mytholgoy... it basically is called a religion that explains stuff the can't be explained and teaches good values... Most of it is bullshit...

Actually, they've used codenames for nearly every project that has been undertaken by them in the past.
They continue to practice that tradition, as shown recently with "Medusa" and SC2.
Lots of what has been said here is plausible, but after seeing some amazing hoax's in the past (i.e. The new alliance race, Mok-Nathal, hoax during the Burning Crusade speculation), I'm no longer easily convinced by internet wordplay.
Though if NicoV is Householder, that would certainly explain a few things, but also adds a few questions as well:
Why would Householder, who left B.North in 03, have any knowledge on current Blizzard projects? he works for an opposing studio. I cant see a Blizzard employee (who he was friends with when he was there, as an example) risking there job and the welfare of there family to accomodate a rumormonger.
I've read that Codenames are given so that different Blizzard teams are unaware of eachothers projects. So it would make sense that Diablo 3's codename would have no relevance to anything of the Diablo world.
Instead, all we need to know is that there is an unannounced project, which raises the chances that the project will be Diablo 3.
you know, all you people saying "i just read 45 pages" .. you could have just read 12... you know, by editing your preferences... and making it like 50 posts per page? or 20.. w/e it is. its a lot less klicking and loading, a lot more KICKING ASS!

you actually belive that blizzard teams dont communicate with eachother? what if one team needed a document from the other team, they would simply say "hi, im from team 3 and i need so-and-so paper" not "hi, im from a team that i cannot tell you about and im not supposed to talk to you even though you have one of my documents on your computer, can you please email me at starcraft2newgamebeingannouncedbyblizzardatkoreain2007@blizzard.net? oh dammnit i shoodn't have told you that!"
I know this may sound a little far fetched but - what if the new expansion for wow and diablo 3 are the same thing ?
Maybe they are using the story and content of the Diablo series, and not theming this expansion around Northrend (which they might have saved for the next one or w/e ... )

=/ ignorance is bliss.
Less people that know less chance of a leak
