So Maxfreak.com has a bunch of rumors for diablo 3 on their site, one of which makes me sad. There is big hints of it being a console game, well heres the whole quote and you can decide what you think... "Chris Hartgraves from WasteLandsGaming.com, a former employee of Blizzard Entertainment, has been credited with spreading quite a few Diablo 3 rumors!
The part about Diablo 3 being a MMO is pretty old but I just noticed he also mentions a console (and it’s not the PS3!).
All I have to say is Diablo 3 will be on epic preperation like WoW will be except they are going to have guild housing FINALLY! There was a rumor that WoW was coming to 360 which is completely false. Blizzard tried to squash the rumor saying it was just going to preview new MS Vista software but Diablo is what they are really going to show coming to 360 … Ghost is too late in development and a big fuck up in Blizzards eyes and stuck on the PS2 - XBOX
OK, I think I get what Chris is trying to say here: WoW is staying on the PC, while Diablo will explore new “console” ground. Frankly, I don’t care if Diablo 3 will come out on Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 but I definitely want to see it on my PC!"
What realm will Starcraft II will explore then? If WoW is sticking with PC...and D3 "will" explore console...then where does that leave SC2...Starcraft should have there next game before D3 since LOD came out after SC Brood War.

Blizzard made an official statement that they wouldnt make any games for consoles in near (at least) future so i think this rumor is possible to be true.
On the "Diablo 3 might be an MMO" part i dont think its possible too. Blizzard is smart enough not to make a game thats part of a series (nr3) a completely different game (gameplay wise). Diablo 3 will be singleplayer with multiplayer aspects when it comes out. If a Diablo MMO comes out then it wont be Diablo 3 anyway.

If you ever meet a hafling and a hungry dragon you dont have to outrun the dragon, you only have to outrun the hafling.
ya PS3 is pretty gay and I HATE CONTROLLERS!! mouse and keyboard beats out a PS3 or XBOX controller anyday because more keys!!!! but why wouldnt it come out on computer that would be the stupidest thing Blizzard could do and of course Blizzard isnt dumb so it will come out on PC and if you think otherwise.... buy a PS3......

600 dollars to buy a console to play 1 game on is pretty expensive... i'm not paying full price for ps3 just to play diablo
thats as much as my pc and I am NOT a console fan...
A computer that could run FarCry 2 years ago must have cost about $2000... because I got mine for $1500, and we have to run FarCry while in 1680 x 1050 with quite low graphics... sure, computers are a lot cheaper than consoles, especially when it comes to gaming.
PS3 will have many good games. Take God of War 2, Gears of War, whatever, a lot of stuff came out, I don't have a console, though.

Blizzard and market:
around 200.000-300.000 are still playing online on Battle.net (each server). Diablo, Warcraft or Starcraft.
Action RPGs (Hack & Slash for some) still sell (90+% on PC) while trying (and not making it) to be Diablo in Diablos place.
Blizzard has only made 1 console game so far (Diablo) after the Lost Vikings that didnt have the success it had on PC. In fact, Blizzard did try the console market and didnt have any success. So far all Blizzard games sold for some million times but the one they made for a console. Official statement said they're not making console games in near future (for Blizzard thats a big while).
Now in general about the industry:
most First Person Shooters are best played on PC (cause of keyboard/mouse combo the controls are awesome), many are brand new and many more are announced. The tournaments and leagues around are all on PC aswell.
RTS is best in PCs and most sales are there.
Think of the newest trend worldwide: MMORPGs. Almost 100% PC exclusive, had like 10 in the last couple years, around 7-8 more in development. All with active subscribers that pay monthly.
PC market isnt done yet, thats certain. Consoles have some plusses, but so do PCs. I dont expect either consoles or PCs to win this "war".

i never understood this, how isnt d2 an mmorpg. What makes d2 so different from guild wars, the only difference i notice is the camera view is different and how in town theres more ppl.
You can make a decent living and still consider the PS3 to be too expensive. It's not always about what your debt to income ratio is, or how much playing around money you have. Some people may say, yes, I have that much money just sitting there in the bank, but they still ask themselves if it is a good value. If they are getting what they pay for.
And if you never need to consider those things when making a purchase of several hundred dollars, then yes, I might assume you are rich.

Sure. A computer that can run FarCry at max is a lot cheaper. You don't get my point, do you? PS3 is a LOT cheaper than a computer. Both of them are used for games and for internet majorly.

no...I use my computer for homework, photoshop and lots of other things. Getting a computer is a way better value then a ps3, there are so many more things you can do on a computer then a ps3.
The only way u can say a ps3 isnt expensive is if u are only looking for a gaming machine, and even then its still expenisive considering you can get a wii or xbox 360 way cheaper then a ps3
People have said that since before Playstation 1. And it's yet to come true, and I don't think it will in any near future of ours.
i never understood this, how isnt d2 an mmorpg
Can you play SP in Guild Wars? Can you beat every boss on your own in Guild Wars? Diablo can and was built around being playable all by yourself. Guild Wars wasn't, that's the difference.

Uness you want a monstrous computer for games today, at which point you have to throw up as much for graphics cards in the computer as for a PS3 complete.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
and u probably could beat bosses by yourself in guild ways it would just be harder. But thats not a good reason, it just shows that guild wars is more difficult then d2.
so the only difference is that diablo has a single player mode...thats it.

You don't need a high-ranked computer for that. Unless you are into advanced 3d-modeling and photoshop, but that is as expensive.
But if you plan to play games, I would say that to buy a weak comp for homework and a PS3/Xbox/Wii for games makes more sense. Except I like PC too much.
