well, personally, my favorite enemy was the Succubus for semi-obvious reasons. you know, the orange things that shoot red laser things and swarm you? My favorite unique monster was Snotspill since he gave you like 50 devil kins to fight. that was pretty great.
Note: you only have to list either a favorite boss or favorite U. monster, not both, however, you can post both if you have a favorite of each.
I like just the plain old Acid Spitters in Diablo I.
Hehe, Acid Spitters were annoying. I hated always stepping on their shitty acid spit and getting hurt from it. You had to wait till it stopped flashing colors.
But my favorite unique was definitely Nihlathak. I know I've talked about him before. He's my favorite because most monsters you kill have no depth to them. But since before actually fighting him, he's cynical and taunting toward you, and you learn how bitter and guilt-ridden he is, it gives him as a monster some actual depth. I feel the result of this is when you finally battle him, it feels more personal and perhaps even vindictive.
And he's special in that when you are fighting him he is taunting you. As opposed to the other bosses who will see one of two given lines and then stop talking. But Nihlathak talks a lot of trash. And his dying scene is really dramatic too. How he spins around screaming as he's being exorcised and the earth opens up to swallow him.
Then I get the supreme satisfaction of my Necromancer saying, "You were a sad little man, Nihlathak." I feel like this also meant, "My corpse explosion spell is way better than your corpse explosion spell, Nihlathak.
Blood Knights were pretty bad ass. Anyone ever notice the statues of the Blood Knights by Hadriel in the River of Flame? Their eyes are red, and they turn their heads to look at you.
um, yeah. the way the blood knights died was cool. i think i liked the orange guys who shot lightning's way of dying too. my favorite, and most satisfying monster to kill is the Unseen, Hidden, and the like. The dudes that are like poof, slash, IMPALE, 'i win'. those guys.

Yeah, I liked the way the lightning guys would convulse and kind of reverberate in electricity before reducing to ash.
And the Unseen guys, it's pretty funny in games how all of a given monster die exactly the same. And they were hilarious, with their heads coming off and it sounds like you dropped a plastic bottle. And they way they fall backwards yet they're still in the standing position so it looks realy unfomfortable the way they fall.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
If anyone wanted to discuss least favorite enemies, I'd have to put the gargoyles pretty high on my list. They're hard to hit when they are flying away from you so they can turn back into stone. And the results after killing them don't feel as worth it as they should be.
Familiars are also very annoying. The sounds they make can really pierce your ears.
Wizards too, obviously, cause they teleport like crazy.
man, the overlords were cool. I guess my favorite monster to kill is any monster that comes at you in huge numbers and is fairly easy to kill. like with the sign quest on d1. the like 50 guys? amazing. also the chamber of bone or King Leoric's tomb.
Note: you only have to list either a favorite boss or favorite U. monster, not both, however, you can post both if you have a favorite of each.
RAKINSHU!!!! killed all my hardcore characters when i first started playing hc. now i jus maul him.
its not supposed to be a nice game
autostats are rediclous
lack of pots is not welcome
if it aint broke dont fix it! (diablo2)
Favorite unique monster were the council members. Probably Bremm Sparkfist
Fav uniqeue boss is either pindleskin or that fat thing in act 5 and summoner and countess

Now let us all watch him in action.
