Both Servers would be equal and both would protect against hacking and things associated with hacking. Both servers would be equal in terms of protection.
well battle.net has people monitoring, it has protection 24/7. Warcraft has hackers...I think that Battle.net should stay.

PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
one poll worth voting. I'd go for old school till the trilogy ends and then for a full MMORPG. Like WoW in a more mature version with the atmosphere i got used to for years by playing Diablo!

since its a free service it doesnt have the funds to monitor the servers as well as the WoW ones (that are way more and way more protected too). Its also a pain to start over again in WoW after getting ur account banned, since there's no way to recover items (can not be traded after used - plus the account gets closed) and each account has personal info and subscriptions of each customer. Battle.net accounts can only be banned (but there can be mule accounts that dont need anything to maintenance) and get a cd-key banned too. Its too easy to lvl a character up to 90. Also too easy to get a new cd-key (to keep backup mules for the case u get caught hacking) since Diablo 2+LoD cost about 25 euro (about 30$) total.

been playing for over a year. During this time i heared of one serious hacking case. It was the strongest US guild that hacked to get to a boss avoiding all others in an instance. 90% of the guild was permanently banned from the game.
There's also been some bot/minor hacking activity with immediate bans.
Battle.net was waaaaay ahead of it's time. They should improve on this one, and use the newer, cleaner, faster version for all of their games, except for WoW of course.
B.net was free when other games cost 5-10 a month for basically the same think, blizzard has always been ahead of its time.
I like that, blizzard may be working on battle.net 2.0 hey a guy can wish cant he??

If you ever meet a hafling and a hungry dragon you dont have to outrun the dragon, you only have to outrun the hafling.
Idk, Ill stick with Battle.net...it's free but Blizzard employees are paid to monitor it, and if you want proof get on there and talk about playing a D3 demo, your connection will fail...WoW, Ive played it, and when I played, there were many many hackers, it is barely monitered at all, and, why play a game with horribel character looks, bright sceneery, and, well, its pretty much got zero storyline. I hate it.

What are you talking about? Every once in a while Blizzard announces that they have banned some 20.000+ hackers/cheaters. Now I admit that isn't very much compared to 6 million players, but then again they don't all cheat. Blizzard has zero tolerance on cheating in all their games, and stop anyone they detect. But it's a lot harder to monitor 6 million players than however many play on B.net

bingo. This means blizzard looses money by it, thus cant afford to pay too many people to monitor it. On the other hand WoW has great income and also pays GMs (Game Masters) to both monitor for hacking activity and help players with other issues. Its also way easier and faster to ban bots and hackers since we all play in the same world and can easily report them to the GMs.
and if you want proof get on there and talk about playing a D3 demo
what ur talking about is a program that checks whatever is said in the battle.net channels and links it to certain people just because of its content. It doesnt need more than 1 people to get the same effect (sometimes not even one).
WoW, Ive played it, and when I played, there were many many hackers, it is barely monitered at all
where have u seen them? on ur starting region? they dont really get there, u know. About not being monitored at all ur terribly wrong. Technically the GMs dont interfere unless there is some hacking activity (all non-hackers dont know anything about it since it doesnt affect them) or unless some things said in the general/other channels is not allowed by Blizzard policy - Mainly in RP servers (same with character names). GMs are paid by Blizzard and there are many on each server at all times (24/7). Plus about every month we listen to announcements saying that xxx accounts were banned and xxx gold has been removed from the servers due to illegal activities (gold selling on e-bay for example).
why play a game with horribel character looks, bright sceneery, and, well, its pretty much got zero storyline.
not everyone can like the same game. There's more story in the game (if you read the quest texts that is) than in the whole Diablo 1 and 2 together (cinematics and tomes included). As of how the characters and the world looks: if you dont like it, dont play it. Me on the other hand like it and wont stop playing it for a long, long time (aka till Diablo 3 is out).
I'd rather stick to Phantom Dust on Xbox live until D3 comes out...

if you like it more ^^ i'd rather play WoW since its always evolving and offering new challenges. I got some single player titles too but i only play when i have too much time (not that often).
very tough, but i like the idea of a better battle.net. the hacking and stuff doesnt get me as much as the lag it gets, perhaps if you try stopping lag you will also reduce the number of dupers and such. lag is probably the main problem in battle.net. not only does it give way to dupers, but also kicks people out of the game and makes the game miserable for people at times.
