i think class specific missions would b pretty cool and so would b some kind of arena thing and i hope that since they want more action that they have huge war battles that u fight alongside angels against hell for hella epic battles
for the millionth time. you are not the programmers, the modelers, or the art directors.
stop insisting on how things should look. Take what you get, and enjoy the game.

Dude if you want to play this new "feel" Diablo, seriously go play WoW. I'm not even kidding, WoW is great, and it portrays this new feel even better than what you see in the demo.
:mad:This was my first reaction when I saw the diablo 3 screenshots.
Why is it that the game looks like WOW:O. Diablo 1 and 2 had very realistic character models. So why has this new director decided to make it look like WOW!!!!!!!!!!
The game deserves more!!!!!!!!!!! The cartoonish models worked for warcraft and starcraft because they are strategy titles. I and a lot of other people feel that the engine does not really compliment the game, and what it could be it lacks the feel of the previous two titles.
I'm not sure if this would be a good idea, but how about TEAMS for pvp ? Like 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4. From there tho i just hope they don't add capture the flag or any other modes traditionnal shooters have...
I would prefer to have the game 95% on pvc and 5% on pvp just for fun once in a while...
Diablo- Dark and gloomy because of the story and most prob because even in color they cannot show the awesomeness of the environment due to graphics technology of that time.
Diablo 2- More colors but is pixelated...you can really see small dots that make up the d2 world/char if you have big monitor. They also wouldn't want to make it 3d cause not many ppl have good comps.
Diablo 3- Comps are affordable these days. Monitors are getting bigger, games in this time need graphics to present themselves. Few of those hardcore fans might want back the diablo/2 look/feel but i believe they(blizzard) want to present these games to the majority, even for ppl who didn't play d/d2 before.
Also technology now enables the developers to create a vivid and interactive game world, when it has to be colorfull it WILL be colourfull. If there is a need to be dark/gloomy it shall be gloomy.
I can't wait to see the rainbows when i'm in the open and the shadows of a particular HUGE boss in the background walking up and down while i'm crossing a bridge which leads me to him.
Thanks for reading this wall of text. Just my 2cents
Posting for the first time so if I've made any mistakes please correct me.
I don't know if this has been proposed but it came to me suddenly.
The stats increment is rather bland and does not offer in depth character customization
My idea is that instead of Strength, Dex and Intelligence only , these 3 would instead become a class of stats. For eg:
Constitution :
1. Strength -- Affects Physical Damage and the ability to equip Amour (since there is health orbs this can also affect the amount they restore?)
2. Endurance -- Affects Max HP, Defense multiplier and Regeneration rate?
Dexterity:
1. Perception -- Affects Hit Rate, Parrying, Dodge rate and Critical rates
2. Nimbleness -- Affects Movement speed, Attack speed, Dodge rate and the ability to equip Weapons
Spirit and Mind
1. Will Power -- MP regeneration rate and Max MP(possibly also recovery rate from status like paralysis and stun?)(affect MP orbs' restore rate)
2 Intelligence -- Affects spell casting rate(?) MP cost and Magical Damage
Just an example, I don't know if its feasible but if it can be done, it would add flavor to characters of a same class (with skills aside) and be more suited to the player's style?
Eg.
(Barb -> pure tanker? -> Berserker? )
(Assassin -> Deadly precision striker? -> Blinding speedster?)
And each class would have a stats' multiplier unique to their own class for eg. that when a barb and an assassin that are naked, using the same weapon with the same strength and nimbleness, the barb would hit harder while the assassin would hit faster due to their unique class multiplier.
You can call this Class Advantage if it makes things easier to understand.
My bad I had meant that, this barb (tanker) would be perhaps slower and less damaging but capable of withstanding inhumane amount of damage with only so much of a wince on the face. Whereas on the other hand the berserker would do well dishing out punishment but is rather lacking on the endurance aspect.
I would love Diablo 3 game to Scare the S*** out of me, playing the game, you know.
Monsters gotta look scary as Hell, moaning & howling, evil laugh & everything, plus a background music that's creepy like that cave level in Diablo, just you can't play it with lights off.
It's also pretty good idea IMO to hear Diablo Roaring all the time, as you get closer & closer the Roar gets Louder. But like in Level 1, you just hear a faint Roar.
If Diablo speaks, maybe have him speak from time to time, of course, in it's Scary voice.
Maybe have the trees or rocks shape like devils, also.
Just SCARE the hell out of me!!!
JUST SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

Blizzard, please put back the single player offline mode!
Well, i don wat to start again discussion about cons and pros of diablo 2 save feature. I would just like to say that we who played diablo 1 & 2 are now mostly married and with kids. I am playing Diablo 2 right now and what happens? kid needs to be fed every 3 hours. so, if i feed him, and put him to sleep, i have max 2 hours to play - and in that time i have to play, reach next waypoint, and enjoy it. it is too complicated.
so, for us old fans - return "save me where i am" feature - so we could enjoy our game!
Ok so you wanna Blizzard to scare the shit out of you
Make you cry like a little girl?
I Hope blizzard bring back the Invisible Stalker.
Invisible stalker:
invisibility (duh)
cant be targeted unlike gloams which are kinda give away tell tale signs
AI: stalker will surround you before attacking.
Special ability PERMANENT -1 Vitality with every hit
Diablo now Will have stone curse. (there was this spell in D1 before but only for players)
Stone curse:
Turns Enemy to Stone ,defense reduce to zero
Protection: none.
Cure: Stone to Flesh scroll(Super Rare)only allies can cast this and save you
SORRY IF THIS IDEA HAD ALREADY BEEN DISCUSSED (i don't really read a lot of forums =p) "BUT STAY AWHILE AND...aaaah shut up!".
Well for my part, i would love to see a Day & Night Transition. I think it would add greatly to the gameplay, and also, it'll give the dev' the oppurtunity to mix match different kinds of color pallettes into Sanctuary, so we don't only get "gothic" art direction, but also many other styles, according to day & night shifts. That way, we get all sorts of moods in the game, either outdoors or in dungeons (well maybe not dungeon, but perhaps the upper levels could be affected by day&night, or it could just be dark n scary lol).
With D&N(day and night), quests and adventure could have a different twist to it, imagine a quest that requires you to find a specific tomb or item, so you as a goody adventurer that you are, would set out to do so, only problem is that you can't find it! after a long and hard hack&slash, you still fail to find the tomb/item, then again, you only look for it during day time, later you find out that the tomb only appears in the night! so that also goes for certain monsters as well and countless other things. (well not that they all appear in the night, but something like that, certain portals opens at night, requires 3 days of item to be placed at certain areas in order for it to function/or magical use to be effective, certain armor/weapon look/function differently in D&N etc..) So we have to approach each quests and adventure through out the lands of Sanctuary a bit differently now, on top of that, it also contributes to the liveliness of the world that Blizzard has already created.
D&N will also influence how NPC do things on a day to day basis, such as trading, service etc. It affects thier availability interms of goods sold. We may get a normal full list of stuff during the day, but at night, we could get some "black market" stuff, then theres the possibility of that merchant getting rob by bandits on his way to Caldeum the night before, and he needs to restock his stuff within the next few days, because of this, you only get limited stuffs from him, then the merchant hires you to get his stuff back from those bandits and if you are successful, you'll get a reward, so now you have a quest! then after a few hours of adventuring, you complete your quest by ridding off the bandits that have been stirring fear among the travellers and merchants, because of your good deeds, more travelers and merchant comes to Caldeum during the night, and you get access to more stuffs! OR..
.. you could be the leader of those Bandits and have it your own way, by getting all the goods stolen from merchants and travellers you get free "black market" stuff. But of course by doing that there is some consequences, you affect the trade market in Caldeum and the overall well being of that place, because of your "leadership" more and more raids are made during the night, and NPC merchants or travelers won't be seen during the night, so if there is other quest that requires you to find a certain NPC, you'll have to find him/her during the day, at some other town perhaps, so more adventuring required ;).
Questing at night also requires players to use light/torch or any source of light, this will bring back the D1/D2 light radius into a more "enlightening" way lol. Light source could be from a burning torch, aura from a character, or environment effects - like fireballs or burning forest, weather - flashes of lightning will reveal certain things temporarily (well im sure theres more :). So to make it interesting, maybe without the light source(exception for Paladin's aura) characters are less effective during night because of visibility, so questing/combat during the night is a bit more complex, depending on character class and skills available, it's different from one another, but all characters have pros/cons at night, so its up to us to decide how to go about a quest in the night with our available options.
So maybe a player plays as a Barbarian and hires 2 mercs, a Paladin and Witch Doc (hopefully we can choose mercs) so 3 characters quest out into the night, finds a couple of undead/zombies, dispatches em, then another wave of baddies, the heroes annihilate them, then suddenly the heroes take damage from out of nowhere, curiously enough, the Paladin illuminates the area with some holy light skills, to their surprise, 6 unidentified monsters appear to be visible infront of them, then dissapears into the shadows of the night. They reappear and attack again, but this time the heroes are able to see them, thanks to the Paladins skill, unfortunately, the skill only last for awhile, infact it last even less during the night, however the Witch Doc's skills are enhance during the night, so most of his magic deals double damage. Then the Barbarian has an extra skill during the night, he can call out to the spirits of night wolves to aid him in battle, so after all that, the heroes eventually defeats the invisible monsters, Hoooray! ..but then the Witch Doc accidently trips on a "hard-to-see-because-of-the-dark-night" trap and sets off an explosion that kills em all... well yea something like that. (im never hiring that Witch again lol).
SORRY IF THIS IDEA HAD ALREADY BEEN DISCUSSED (i don't really read a lot of forums =p) "BUT STAY AWHILE AND...aaaah shut up!".

can you sum up all that in a small paragraph:P
