that screenshot is low-res so stop fucking showing it to me. It's a badly saved in Pain Jpeg of the real image which is much more detailed.

Supersoldat says that demons attacking towns will be great and you have to defend it, i agree, you know? Like the monsters can get in the town and pretty much kill people (Armorers, Smiths Questgivers and all the people that do important stuff are invincible but normal people and guards can die). That would be sweet
Yeah, in the same way that Cain is invincible throughout the gameplay video - he just moves away from the fighting and the monsters ignore him. Wouldn't want it to happen too often though, otherwise it would get annoying (if every time you came to town to buy something you had to wipe out a horde of daemons).
Would also be kindof cool to come back to a town and find it entirely in ruins à la Tristram in Diablo II, only you were there just 10 minutes ago. You'd have to sift through the ruins looking for survivors - it would have to be at or near the end of an act though. Now that I think of it, it would be awesome to find a ruined Lut Gholein (sorry for spelling, I just can't be bothered looking it up) or something.
All this would give the game more of a sense of urgency rather than the town areas being invulnerable strongholds.
EDIT: Oh, one more thing that would be cool - The gameplay movie is set up so the music corresponds to the action (so pretty much like a film) - what would be great is if in the game the music would change depending on whether you're fighting, beeing overwhelmed, fighting a boss or just wandering around in town or outside. Sortof like in Total Annihilation or better (it shouldn't suddenly flick into some epic exciting music if one fallen stabs you and then dies of fright)
It seems the players are short for supplies and healings from the video, like most action games.
I suggest bring evading system to D3. you can evade in any direction by pressing keyboard buttons such as W A S D.
I'd like to see a Ranger class to replace the Amazon. Also, maybe a Samurai class to repace the Pally.
You fail at life....:necro:
This is DIABLO, not dragon balls z... There are no Samaurai, no ninja, the closest thing to a "stealthed" character will be a ranger, and that is a slight chance. Assassin was the closest thing you got to that.
And the PALLY pwned, that was the ideal character for Diablo, a noble, religious warrior, since that is what the game is semi based off of.
Not sure if i should post here, but the only thread regarding my issue is locked and i don't feel like making a new thread for this.
After watching the gameplay video for like the fifth time with a more careful eye i realysed that what's bothering me with the game is not the artistic style, but the technical graphics. For a game who's gonna come out in '09 or (something to close to that) the graphics could be so much better, just look at titan quest it's pretty old but have better graphics than D3. The textures are awful when you look at the characters/environments closefully. If you look at the Cultist in the monster page on diablo3.com, it looks exactly like a undead mage from WoW. It's starting to bothers me since i found that out.
Now i know they won't change a thing about it 'cause it would just too damn long to remake the entire game with better graphics and textures, but blizzard should really try to put out a game WITH TODAY'S graphics one of these days.

We should also remember that the demo is only a demo. I am sure they are going to up the resolution. This is not the finished project. and besides does anyone remember how bad the graphics were in DII, they were not what you would say top of the line then. But is was what we expected. This game will be amazing to chill out everyone.
The graphics will probably be a lot better in the final release. But IMO, graphics are important but were not what made the Diablo series great. Diablo II graphics were average at best. It's the gameplay that keeps us coming back for more.

More epic monsters like those from Diablo1. Remember the Hidden and the Acid Dogs? The Warlord of Blood, Butcher, Archbishop Lazarus, etc, all of them were epic.
i think its fine graphics arent much of anything ofxcourse though we want it to not look like a friggin cartoon though 3d is much better and on page 1 that list is ridiculously long annnnnddddddd why would we want to have friggin 20 characters when well probably only be allowed to have like 10 gg pple be serious

Enough with the Ninja/Samurai talk.

When i say my comp is 5 years old and could probably run the game on low/medium settings, there's a problem you know what i mean...
