I you're asking for a way to play D2 in windowed mode, it's easy. Just select properties on your shortcut, and add: "-w" (without quotation marks) after "target". So it would be someting like:
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

That could be solved though, with two exits. One save&exit where you retain your position, but no monsters respawn, and one where all monsters respawn, but you reappear in camp. That would suit everybody I think
i wouldnt really agree on that. Respawning mobs brings more loot to the game, which is one of of the most addicting things Diablo has to offer. Easy loots, killing over and over the same bosses. On single player the maps dont change on save & exit, so u can easily check again for the next waypoint on the places u havent explored. More monsters in the area give more xp too, which is a good thing, i think. On Battle.net there's almost always someone to make you a town portal to the most important waypoints so you wont have to run around like an idiot.
They don't have to cancel each other out. If player A is in a hurry and has to leave in 2 minutes, he can just do the no-respawn exit. Later he returns, loads up and continues from that point. When he then reaches Baal and beats him, he can do the normal save & exit that respawns all monsters.

The windowed mode worked, sort of, but I actually wanted there to be black screen outside. I keep clicking outside the window and returning to desktop... it looks like most games adapted the open-desktop windowed mode. Is there any way to make black area behind the image?
Regarding what I want to see in Diablo III. I was playing Diablo II recently and thought some random stuff. But since the game frustrates me a lot don't take all this too seriously:
1. If you sold something valuable by accident you should be able to get it back for free or for less price at least.
2. There should be at least some hard-to-kill monsters like the Butcher or Skeleton King from Hellfire. All the boses except the end ones are pretty easy to kill. And those bosses shouldn't be surrounded by hordes of monsters, prefferably.
3. End monsters (Andariel, the sand one, etc.) shouldn't be 30 times as hard to kill as the average monsters are. I go around in Tal Rasha's tombs, everyone is pretty weak, then I reach the sand boss and he kills me like 17 times in a row.
4. There should be more space on end boss grounds, otherwise it's a big problem for Amazon and wizard classes - they need space to run around, they are not fighting anyone directly.
5. Automatic potion delivery - while someone may say that it's more realistic when you can only carry 4 x 3 potions and only use those potions, all it really does is determine how many times will you use town portal to get more potions in the belt...
6. There is something wrong with money in the game. By the start of Lut Goleign my stash and my max carring amounts were maxed out. I couldn't bear any more money. And I didn't run in the same place twice, I didn't use money charms... Maybe shops should have more better weapons, I don't know.
7. Town portal as a used-up item, in my opinion, is pretty pointless. Every time I fill up I right click my tome of town portal. Every 20 times I buy 20 scholls. It doesn't make sense anymore, you can as well put an artifact that takes 200 gold every time you use it.
8. Unique items should be better. They should be rarer. Most of the time they are no better than usual magical items. And I remember when in Hellfire I found a bow with 0 damage and 30-100 fire damage. Now THAT was something. Green items are too rare and too useless sometimes for that rareness. I didn't get a single green item yet and I'm in act III... End bosses shouldn't give class-inappropriate stuff. I'm an amazon, I kill the sand monster, and they give me antlers. ANTLERS! And an amulet that is worse then the one I already wear.
9. The get-your-back corpse thing should be tilted a bit, I think. If your corpse is in some stupid spot right in front of an end bosse's nose it is a problem, and getting it back and then running away in a town portal may be much more problematic than actually killing the monster.
10. Fire damage should (may) have an enflame effect.
11. Monsters shouldn't be faster than the player is.
12. Dexterity should force an end boss miss occasionaly!
On Hirelings:
13. They shouldn't die if you die.
14. I wouldn't mind them fully equippable and with their own inventory, but I guess that's too much.
15. Make a halt command and a leave command - they always die from end bosses, you have to put them out of the way somehow.

Ah I see what you mean about the window. Sorry though, don't know how to do that.
1. Considering what you said about having too much gold all the time, problem solved. In D2 at least. If gold was balanced in D3 then most likely a system similar to that of WoW could be implemented. The last 10 items you sell can be rebought for the sell price. Works fantastic.
2. Yep, most of them are easy.
3. Yes they should (in my opinion) I mean, they are supposed to be the rulers of ALL demons, and they rule by sheer force, hence they must be strong.
4. Definately. Chaos SAnctuary is big, but act 3 & 5 are pretty small. But then again Meph and Baal don't often head into melee.
5. Not really. Just think of the battle with the Ancients. Can't go back there.
6. Should be changed yes.
7. That would definately make sense. Great addition!
8. Umm, don't think unique items are better than blue? By all means, it's your opinion, but I don't think a lot of people agree with you on this one
And that your going to get crappy items is part of the fun part with D2. You never know what will drop.
9. Yep, the only time I get pissed of is when I can't retrieve my corpse. I just hate to die and die and die getting it back.
10. Perhaps
11. Yes they should. Outrunning everything isn't fun. Though of course on those occasions when you die and have to retrieve your corpse they become a pain in the A** (Can you use that word on the forums? I've noticed that americans are WAY more prickly about swearing than swedish people).
13. No, they should teleport back to town alive with you.
15. As for that, it has already been fixed numerous times in various mods. Check it out here: http://phrozenkeep.it-point.com

Things I would like to see:
---Larger Friend List---
Slight graphics enchanment (lod was good but not great)
Better character appearance change ( Not as good as fable but close)
More Items (I would like to see the unique/rare items list double or triple)
More set's ( the item sets were a great idea, but were grossly underpowered)
More quests ( longer, more in depth quests that require thinking, not mindless clicking and being a delivery boy)
Larger World (maybe having 2-3 towns PER ACT, doesnt have to be as massive as oblivion, but gotta be larger than d2 LOD)
More Secret Runewords (this was by far the best idea in LOD, made the game never ending)
Greater char customization (You should be able to choose you class, then build your char, Height, wieght, Gender, Ect)
The addition of a horse would be sweet for outside of town/ dungeons (cant use certain attacks while riding, cannot enter town/dungeons. Running speed triples while on a pony, lose ability to pick up items. There are cows everywhere in the wild in LOD that do nothing, why not add a pony! (times when you need to get to town quick and have no TP's this would be great!)
Other than that, I would keep everything the same, As diablo2 LOD owned!
-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
thinks i would like to see,
-A kind of war system
-Diablo in Diablo3 rather creating a new demon from the storyline
-a change in terrian when quest complete(Notice in Diablo 2 when you finish act 1 they say they could travel through the monastary(spelling error) and it was still swarm with monsters, impossible to cross)
the road to act 2 was through the monastary well more next to it, just at the end of Highway. Andariels minions were blocking it. you can see the gate, but not go through it. i see what you mean.

Honestly.. I wouldn't really mind If d3 had a fee to play online, providing the rates are somewhat affordable. ( something like x-box live 360 would be nice)
-Alot less poor people with slow laggy computers or connections making b-net lag like crap(cruel but true);)
-People would be ALOT less encouraged to hack and cheat:D ( i hate hackers)
I would gladly pay yearly or decadly fee for these two reasons!
I dislike having D3 as a p2p as...
-I dont have much pocket money
-Hackers will get banned and usually hacks are created by smart people and dumb people who use it will get their accounts hacked
-And slow laggy internet doesen't really slow the person unless he is in with the same person so it means that you could play with your friends or faster people.
a fee services a purpose yes, but many people play diablo 2 (and diablo) in Single player, many games that have a fee dont not have a single player that doesnt require interent use. now while this SP doesnt appeal to everyone there is still a pretty big market of people who like SP, i for one am one of these people.
i have a slow connection, and as such it is a bit laggy every now and again. As i am a busy man i dont have as much time as i would like to play diablo, when i get a break in my studies and work i like to chill and, unwind and play some diablo, but i dont wnat to spend the few minutes i have to spare waiting for lag, and the black wall associated with lag to dissappear. so as you might have gathered i will play SP mostly. i am content with this, of course if i can afford more time i will play Open battle.net, that way i can use the SP char i have been building up.
paying a fee so i can play online when i dont even play online that much, not something id like to do. as you might have gathered im very anti diablo becoming a MMORPG like WOW, id much rather it stay like the previous titles, a Single player RPG that just happens to have great multiplayer capabilities(despite hackers)

This is a screenshot of Nox. It was a diablo clone, released after the original diablo but came out a year before diablo 2. These blurry screen-shots dont do the game justice (game looks much better in motion.) Do you see how you can have 5 skills assigned to A,S,D,F, and G all at once. This is how d3 should be in terms of skills. Simply press a button on the keyboard to use a spell, in this way skills would become more useful and funner to use because you can pull off 5 different attacks on the fly. (I reccomend playing this while you wait for d3, if you can still find this game.)
If putting the game like this would probably fit for consoles like x-box , as it reminds me alot of diablo , and i would prefer D3 to be like D2...
I have to agree with Elfen as i think that D3 should be kept like D2 but it could allow more players in one game....
the nature order of player per game for the diablo series increases by 4 for each new game (not including expansions) 4 id d1, 8 in d2, so logically it would be 12 in d3.
and i was only stating that a large number of people only and in some cases prefer single player. they are loyal fans it seems wrong to stinge them by making the pay for online stuff when they dont go online. why would they want to pay for something they dont use? would you?
but if d3 is like WOW *shudders* and it is all online then some of these fans will give in and buy it but others will not. Im sure the fee wont be overly high probably something similar to the fee for WOW. but i hope it is like D2, SP with good MP

i prefer the guild war freind and guild system. there you can just scroll down and see who's on, instead of typing the command to list all your friends that are on.

It's not a Diablo clone. Not every Hack&Slash is. But Nox is very different in a lot of aspects, too many aspects. Nox rules, anyway, shame they never continued it.
I would also like to see speacial rooms like a PVP room( No Boss or mosters just players) where you can have a massive guild war.Elfen Lied, did you watch the anime Elfen Lied???
