The barbarian history says they have a rich cultural history, yet we know very little about it. I would like to change that, or uh for that to be changed.

take the shit out that gives you other players skills. Thats what ruined expansion.
thats kind of the whole point of runewords isnt it? since uniques already give u enuff plus some number to all skills so they added runewords cuz their really hard to make (since u cant find a jah or ber everywhere) and they give u extra bonuses that uniques dont have.
and plus, every1 wants to be a teleing barb. its just adds to the fun!:D

Well, who says that runewords and/or teleport will even make an appearance in Diablo III? Depending on how the game is done (MMO vs. Diablo/Diablo II's style), mounts could be practical.
Though, I will agree with everyone saying that there needs to be a bit more background history regarding the character classes. It'd be nice to know a little more about Amazon society and how it works (witnessing it for yourself would be a bonus). The same, of course, would go for every class (including any new ones a third game might have).
Maybe I've been playing too many MMOs lately, but I'd also like to see a bit more detail in terms of crafting. Instead of only being able to buy arrows from a merchant (or doing the bolt/arrow recipe in the cube), it'd be nice to actually be able to make them yourself. Or even taking it a step further by crafting certain spells and other items. Yes, it might be cliche, but what isn't anymore?
Well mounts don't really work with overhead view anyways... It's just kinda redundant.
Sorry, I should have clarified.
If Diablo III were to take the route of an MMORPG, then teleporting everywhere wouldn't really make much sense. Same with having cinematics to separate areas or parts of a story (like Diablo II uses). I can see town portals having some use, but that's about it. Mounts would make the game seem more progressive in a way, since you'd actually have to travel from area to area.
I totally agree with you, however, if the game were to stay with an overhead view. In fact, it'd look pretty ridiculous to be riding on a horse or something with a game like that. Travel would likely be fast enough anyway, so there'd be no need to worry about it.
I put a "world editor" in the list. Neverwinter Nights has a editor. It would be cool to make custom campaigns using the diablo world/monsters. Hence why I included it in the list.

something i just thougth about while looking at one of the threads talking about hostiling. ok so maybe diablo 3 will have one big chat room and several open games. so you get like 8 people on a team and you can talk aobut stratagy. so when your team goes into the game. there will be another 8 player team and it would be like a team battle. ya sorta like halo 3 and cod4. but still it would be awsome to see a huge battle between players fighting to the death.

Also sorta sounds a like a GvG battle from Guildwars
That would depend on how D3 works in regards to players/rooms/servers. Currently it's 8 players to one game.

i think they should increase it to 10 because 8 seems a little too little

For d3, the main thing i want is for them to have small ppl throughout acts by wps where u can go to heal/buy pots/scrolls and and a person where u can go to and repair ur shit

Good idea, but isn't that what the wps are there for. Aren't they there to let you go to town and rest and buy pots and stuff.
Monsters/Bosses which make diablo look like a mosquito. they fight on different levels, like some already do in d2. different magic class attacks and melee too and then for an added bonus attacks that damage your char for a hell of a long time, or a negative effect until u lvl again or u loose skills points and/or hitpoints permanently!! oo. what about a monster with a million heads. it spans the size of 5 screens. as you kill heads on the one side it regenerates heads on the other side. it drops items like mad. a d3 punching bag for item runs. LOL. and then ofcourse a very special bonus if u actually manage to kill the damn thing.
This was a massive list. I tried to read alot of it, but I forgot most of it when I hit the bottom. In any case, heres some things:
x Monsters/Characters bear absolutely no resemblence to WC/WoW creatures at all. Period.
x Casting characters should be able to equip robes and stuff like in Diablo I. Makes more sense to me having a frail wizard like a Necromancer, whose all emaciated anyway, as wearing a robe rather than a 200 lb. set of Kraken Shell armor. In place of high defense, it could have resists or FCR or mana.
x A more gothic feel, like the original :*(
x And adding to what FBIM said, maybe enough spaces in a game for 2 of every character class?
x Shape shifters should be able to copy any monster in the game (except bosses) and use their skills.
x To what wizz already said: Maybe theres a ton fo levels of Hell, and as you go deeper, the monsters get unbelievably hard, and the "Uber" type monsters are all at the bottom levels instead of in random Pandemonium Events. (Of course, I wouldn't want this to turn in to a kind of just go and kill thing, it would still have to be diverse, likes its own world.)
x There should be doors that require keys, not just chests. This would make Teleport a little more valuable as a skill, if you don't have keys, as well as making keys more useful.
x If they still use the Keys (Pandemonium Event for Ubers), then you should have to use the keys in a real door, lol.
i would like to see some spells books back in the game. were you had to find them and gain a skill. but still have the skill tree. so skill tree for class skills. but spell books for general magic. like healing or something. but still have a restriction to certian classes for certian skills. but what i would like to see is a more challenging way to use the skill books. like when you click on the book it opens pages that you read. maybe a riddle you have to solve or certian things you have to do to gain the skill.
