so yeah nice stuff here elfen...btw i have somethin to add to ur list.
how bout a battle order(BO) shrine? i had a debate goin on at battle.net bout this for d3 if it's really goinna come out.
but yeah it would be cool to see shrine like this jus like the exp shrine one of a kind.
iight ttyl pz.

the best BOW of DIABLO2LOD for annoying nubs in the game.......now beat this!
i would rather have small charms or large or even great charms that gives 1 to any skill of any class in stead of a to all of the class skill or better yet i think there should be a place on your merc to were u can put up to 100 postions and he can use them to but in case of running out of pots when that max to hol is only 16 postions witch is kinda gae.
also i wouldent want a mh or anything because its kinda gae and stupid because its funn just to do everything by your self ( i have a lvl 80 pally in single player ( and not hacked or anything :p) of course its not fun with any not playing but my brother plays because we hook are computers up to play.
but that also is kinda weird that u cant conect with people in your city witch i think that should happen to were u can conect to a game to were u can see who all plays in your home town instead of making friends and asking were thay all live and stuff. ive found a friend right across the street from me on the computer and we didnt know tell we told each other Lol.
I want Diablo III to have D2's cimetatics graphics for gameplay.

For Hell to claim Armeggedon, Heaven will claim cleansing. Whatever the outcome of the war might be, his holyness will rise for the Light and claim those souls of the damned.
I've read the master list and i must say i'm impressed.
There were only a couple i disagreed with or thought
should have a little more thought put into them.
One thing that was not mentioned that i think should be implemented
is the overall value of gold and the ease of aquiring it.
Seriously, what did we ever end up doing with those millions.
If it was made of paper we would have burned it to keep warm
in the winter. . .
We just need to be able to do more with it and make it possible a little harder
to get.
And that way, in PvP people betting gold on duels (which is and idea i love:rolleyes:)
would also benefit.
Then maybe people might trade gold for items instead of using other items as
a sort of currency (soj).
Oh and also if this is the case, you shouldnt lost gold when you die.
This was uber duber gaye.
the list is a bunch of people throwing out ideas, and instead of reading an entire 100+ page thread you only have to read one post.
It only mentions gold to have more meaning.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
huh? what do you mean? i see no mention of gold
in the list and i am aware that it was made by
different people because i have read this whole post
because i wanted to make sure that no one posted
something relating to what i said. what exaclty are
you saying i don't quite understand?
Oh wait, i might see what your saying.
You want me to elaborate on what i actually mean?
Think of Guild Wars or WoW as an example.
Gold is much harder to aquire in larger amounts, but when you
have it you can actually purchase things that you would really actually want. The shops in Diablo II didn't sell items worth jack. Therefore you never really had use for your gold except using it to res your merc or buy potions and so on. Nobody ever traded gold for anything. It really had little value to people.
Therefore, what i would like to see is a system where gold actually has
value and you work to aquire large amounts because it can buy you things you actually want. This could be many different things(None i can really think of now). Not just armor, etc. for your character. That way people might possibly want to trade for gold or use gold to trade for other items.
thinking of gold made me think of something: The items you can buy is determined by your amount of gold & char level (&/ &or) where you are in the game.
How about this idea...
There will be two seperate worlds in D3.
One will be Battle.net and the other will be the Clan world.
In the clan world, when a clan is united and forged, they are assigned a town anywhere on the map. When one person has collected enough gold into the clan town, your town will grow in population and in size. Bringing in items and gold will also bring several types of mercs into your town for hire. As the town grows, so does more black smiths and magi that offer to your clans cause.
Now also in the clan world, can other clans either join your town or invade it. You must protect your clan town. If your clan is strong enough (like SICK...) we can take over other clan towns and add to our total population. You can establish trade routes with other neutral or allied towns and the leader of the clan can alter town defences and looks.
Just an idea that I thought I should add. I really don't know if that is on the neverending master list or not.

sounds interesting, may be hard to impliment though.
@ deezonyochin, nothing along the lines of your post above is mentioned in the list, so ill add it in the repost/update.

we have said that you should be able to join groups within the game like the zakarum.

I LIKE IT!!!
This would be completely amazing. Just think of the possibilities. All the graphics, monsters, buildings, mercenaries, all of it is already in the normal game, simply restructuring it to fit in with a more multiplayer based orientetion is what has to be done.
If I could have any one thing included in a sequel, this would be it!
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
it does sound impressive, my only real criticism is would it take away from the ultimate goal of either fighting for the side of Heaven or Hell just a bit? diablo has and always will be about the war between heaven and hell and its influence on man. going out trying to occupy towns and villages, rather than reclaiming them from the tyranic rule of a demon lord, doesnt seem all that diabloish to me
other than that not bad.

i dont think so, that sounds like your describing a whole different game, it sounds like roller coaster tycoon except diablo tycoon
Edit: I just read your post again, i think i misread it the 1st time, but sounds like it might be cool but still sounds like a whole different game"
In diablo 3, i want the game to be simmilar gameplay to diablo 2(original) not so much LOD because i dont like how every char can use whatever moves, i think that defeats the purpose of haveing different classes of characters. I wouldnt mind if the kept Runes in the game, and i think it would be better if money was worth more then it is now. I also think that they got to make rushing harder to do then just teleporting threw the levels..i do like rushing cause its fast and all, but i think it wrecks the game in a way kind of-ish, i think it should be more like guild wars where quests are actually meaningfull.
I just hope we at least have a better online system that battle.net, which kicks you like half the time, won't let you back on, and lags like a bitch when you can get on.
Well, Battle.net lags because of all the duping on the application. You get kicked out from the repeat of entry and exits of Battle.net. This is because BN thinks you are running a bot. But yeah I agree with baneofchildren.

Those before me shall quiver in my wake as I unleash the fury within!
I agree with Maple, the whole point of having different classes is for the different skills. If D3 is to be similar to LOD in that way then they should only make the skills acquirable by a super hard quest or something
A super duper hard quest meaning you must have a full party of eight high llvl char perfectly equipped... Thus meaning there will be no chance for someone doing single player (like me) to achieve it. Well, that is pretty much the case for runewords and hellfire torch and stuff so I guess it could be done and that I would strongly dislike it.
bearing in mind many people play LOD in single player, so i think the quests in D3 would have to be doable in SP, they can of course be much hard on battle.net or open battle.net for that matter, the rewards should be better too.

Quite creative yes, but i would just rather play the reg old D3.
I'm not saying it wouldn't be fun, but i would only do it if it had
benefits eventually for when you switched back to regular play.
And like Elfen said, might be hard to implement
