I think that Titan Quest would be the best choice for its similar to Diablo II. But its a hell of alot cleaner but its not going to far ahead like going to a game like wow.
and is there a similar style of graphcs you would prefer?
i dug up some screen shots to go with this poll so people could see what the graphics are like see here
while i would love it to be isometric, like its predecessors (and Baldur's Gate to a lesser extent), im not sure it will be though, everyone seems to be producing more 3D platform-esque graphics, ie the camera is right behind the character (but can be altered later). i love the top down or "bird's eye" view you had in games of old.
but ill admit it is impressive to be standing at the base of a castle or fortress and looking up at it.
go DII graphics 54% of the votes.
quite amazed to see the number of votes LOZ: OOT got, and BGII. didnt think that many people played or have played it.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
you should have put sacred on the poll list it has better graphics than d2 but d2 is easier to play sacred has higher lvls u can get to plus nice ranks to play in and thus i could make a list of everything that could possibly been liked in d3 i wouldnt mind to have a pet like something of fate

Have you heard of the one called Necromancer...there...there...is...nothing...else...to...say...

Blizzard had better have enuf common sense to seperate the graphics of WoW and Diablo because the players of the two have completely different perspective of what it should b
Both Diablo games look distinctly different from Starcraft and Warcraft games. I can't imagine Blizzard would deviate too far from the aesthetics and ambiance of the previous Diablo games. Since those things are important factors to Diablo's success.
i hope they go with something more like the diablo series than WOW or any other franchise.

Now that the screenshots bring it up, God of War graphics would be great for this game. Given, certain things would have to be simplified. Possibly make the game a bit darker to make it more thematic and less difficult to process. If only I could revote, I would pick God of War 2. By the way, I played it and beat it. That is a great game. Freaking great. Plus, I'd love to see someone like Diablo rendered as vididly as the bosses in the cinematics of this game.

That Heroes of Might and Magic V looks an awful lot like Warcraft 3.
they are somewhat similar, but HOMM V isnt like that the whole time, thats just how you move from battle to battle.
Diablo has always seemed to have the superior graphics to the other games, so I'm hoping that that stays true
yes the diablo series is amazing when it comes to graphics at the time of their release. its pretty much the best of the times.

no the First one and the first warcraft....... because if its so... then truly Wc3 copied HOMM V
as best as i can figure it, it was
HOMM I (1995)
HOMM II (1996)
HOMM III (1999)
HOMM IV (2002)
HOMM V (2006)
and
WC (1994)
WCII (1995)
WCIII (2002)

God of War would be my choice. Some of the landscape rendering would have to be toned down a bit since classicly we can't jump, swim, or climb (assuming it isn't added in diablo 3 which would be pretty cool imo). Other than that it has good camera angles and a nice overhead view that can be brought in and out depending on the player.
Hello Are you admin or somebody from blizzard? I can think you are from one of them
who? me? if so then the answer is no.

if D3 was to use the graphics engine of God of War, i dont think it would use the same mechanics, i.e climbing, swimming jumping etc. then only way jumping would work is if it was the same way it was i D2/LOD i.e a skill like Leap or Leap Attack, other than that i dont see it happening.
