PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

For my money I really would like to see the Diablo realm the same way we saw in Diablo and Diablo 2. This is not to say the graphics can not be better, but to keep the feel of the game the same I hope we get back to our birds eye view of beastie slashing. If you think about it, it doesnt make sense for them to make it like WoW because it would put another competitor in the already flooded MMORPG market.

Exactly TehGhost. I share the same fealings as you do. I could not see diablo 3 in 3d as I am sure it will also destroy the gameplay that we are all used to and love.

Those before me shall quiver in my wake as I unleash the fury within!
id like to see diablo 3 like world of warcraft.ive never played wow but ive seen it and id like to see diablo 3 like that except u dont have to pay for online.
OBLIVION FTW!!! If you cannot support it, too bad. Just because some cannot support the graphics, does not make it right to dull the potential of amazing new advances in diablo graphics.

It really isn't. The gameplay is widely different in both of them.

The graphics for Diablo 2 are the ideal graphics for the kind of game. It can get glitchy as it is because of the amount of mayhem that happens at any single time.
But if I was gonna was voted for anything else it would be awesome to have Diablo 3 in the same detailed graphics as Oblivion but in the isometric diablo 2 style. that would be nice, but a little demanding on machine performance.
with the DII graphics engine im not sure a zoom works, maybe if the updated it.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
What do you mean? The ability to rotate a camera is just an ability, it can be disabled or enabled, it really doesn't matter.
And what WoW has to do with this? It's 3rd person, not top-down, lol.
yeh its just an option like lighting or subtitles, right.
WOW and LOD have two totally different points of view.
WOW the camera is pretty much right behind the character, like many console games, Legend of Zelda, Medievil, Fable. while diablo have more of a birds eye view, or "top down" view, like Baldur's Gate, Bard's Tale, Warcraft, Starcraft.

My problem with 3D has nothing to do with this. It is about the image quality. Due to polygon limitations + amount of objects present at the same time, there won't be enough for each particular monster to be detailed... I don't want AoE III or Sacred or even TQ graphics, all of those are crappy compared to Hellfire (D2 actually looked WORSE IMHO).
I really don't know why, but NWN certainly doesn't look even close to, say, Half-Life 2. I suppose RPG engines and FPS engines have some differences we don't know about, becase otherwise, considering that such RPG's as NWN don't really have that many objects interacting, they should be really well-detailed. But they are not. And Titan Quest is the latest Hack&Slash to come out - I do believe that Blizzard can do much better, but I still don't think 2D graphics are that soon to be defeated...

I just like 2D because I like 2D. But 3D could look nice, too... Titan Quest was OK, if you ask me.
