When was Diablo II released like 2000 or somthing anyways.....we have been waiting for a very long time for it... ohhh yeah.... back to topic.. i would like to see the traditional Diablo graphics 2d but maybe with more colors....higher res and maybe like a runescape type camera control so i could look 2d or 3d... i dunno maybe this would not look good....
Titan Quest graphics are exactly like Diablo 2, but with much higher resolutions, pixel shaders, and the option to zoom in or out.

plus i think titan quest is fully 3d.
most likely d3 will have similar graphics to that game. from what i heard, the graphics were too strong or were causing errors for most ppls cards so they had to make patches to fix the compatability. i wont be able to play a game with insanely good graphics unless i get a new pc (mines an XP from 2001..:( ) which probably wont happen for a while cause this comp will last.

Well as i've stated many times before, the D2 graphics are deffinatly the best way to go (of course a bit updated but not so much that i have to get a new comp lol). Plus it would be a bit wierd if they changed it suddenly.
That' just my opinion
Having a fusion of Diablo 2 and Fable graphics would be one awesoem combination. Going more 3D would also allow players to really get a good idea of what the characters look like. UNFORTUNATLY we're all going to have to upgrade our computers to accomplish it... oh the price of entertainment!
you know if they keep the game like D1 -in small tunnles and passages underground, they could probalby pull off pretty good 3D graphics without too much comp power. (they dont have to deall with grass, trees, and far off thinkg like in an open plain or something) and besides i think you guys r forgetting that with any high graphics game you can tur down the quality if your computer cant take it.
fable is great but i love the d2 graphics more than life itself...i know i'm insane i'm told that everyday and also that i should commit suicide oh well d2 graphics all the way

You can tell the same lie a thousand times but it never gets any more true so close your eyes once more and once more believe that they all still believe in you......
U gave alot of choices to choose from, but in the end I chose Fable's graphics cause it has alot to it.. Nice enviromental graphics, weapons look good, creatures looks nice, etc..
Although one big thing I would like very much is the uniqueness of each different type of armour, weapons, spells, etc.. I loved the way ur character in D2 looked different with each type of armour, but the way microsoft did it with Dungean Siege 2 was a bit more unique.. The way the armour looks in ur inventory, it looks on ur character...:)

It's all about d2. ALL ABout d2. we can't have it like anything else. it's like Arby said on page 1. if it ain't broke don't fix it
That's true, but with today's new graphics technology and physics technology, why wouldn't a great games producer/manufacturer like Blizzard use those technology's to 'remake' an old legend game..?
I'm not saying they must do what id did with DOOM III!! But as I read alot of posts on this forum, many people are feeling that they must use the basics what they had in Diablo II and add some stuff to make Diablo III.. But why not make it more realistic using all the latest stuff out there??
I think Diablo could work as a from a third person perspective view in 3D. If you look at videos of Hellgate London when the player is in third person view, it looks pretty cool, especially with all the demons, spells, and swords. Remember that Hellgate London is being created from the geniuses behind Diablo and Diablo II, which brings me to another interesting theory...
Remember when Blizzard North shut down? Remember the rumor Gaming Steve had about it? The rumor was that Diablo III was nearly complete, and when Blizzard North presented it to Blizzard, they weren't impressed with how it played and felt it needed more fun. Maybe they felt that it wasn't very fun because the people at Blizzard North were trying to make it into a third person 3D game, which they now carried over onto Hellgate London. Just an idea.
ya know what would be really funny is they used the graphics from the original ff7 ...ya know the awful cinder block hands and blocky graphics but when it went to the cut scenes it looked amazing...ahh man good times good times...that game game was almost as addicting as diablo
