So, more user interaction? Yeah, I'd agree. Since user interaction with other users is the primary facility of online games, that's the most crucial nexus of the online experience- the ability to have easier access to listings of friends, customers, resources, and the like, and the ability to easily unite under one name as a unified and distinct group of gamers.
I hope they call it clans like diablo and d2 had. Guilds were in wow and guild wars. thats why i dont like the word guild because of guild wars lol. They should make it clan even if is just guilds called clans. Out of respect for the d and d2 clans.

Diablo and Diablo II had no official clan system- actually, they just didn't have one, period. So assuming either of them opted for the term "clan" over "guild" is ignorant at best, since they had no clan system (I really mean no offense there, but that was the best term I could think of for it). Guilds have been used primarily for medieval and/or RPG-type games for years, whereas clans have been used for FPS's and such. It just depends on what your preference is. I prefer guilds, honestly, but I can see clans working, too, since it, in essence, just means "family". I think the terms should be able to be used interchangeably if the Battle.net 2.0 components are going to use such terms. For instance, instead of being called just a clan, like Clan Djeudtz (dunno, made it up on the spot), an option would also allow a Guild prefix, instead. Also, dynamic functions for building clan/guild hierarchy, and dynamic options for clan/guild acronyms, statutes (or rules, for the uneducated here), as well as an interface for an actual in-game website for your guild or clan that can also be accessed just using the internet. It would more cohesively interweave and blur the distinction between the internet and gameplay. I felt that with Diablo and Diablo II, while each had its own really good advances in the world of online play, the large distinction still came between the game and the internet. As in, guilds and clans would always have their main communication nexus on the internet (usually via a forum), but everyone would simultaneously also play the game for instant interaction.
I know they didnt have an official clan system. I meant the in game clans that were made from players that wanted to play together. alot of the really good ones didnt even have web sites. But i really wouldnt care either way. I just just clan better for running around pking and dueling.
Guilds. Everyone loves guilds. Even back in the days of Diablo we had clans. Now, in the days of World of Warcraft and "Guild" Wars, Guilds are everywhere you look. There is no reason for Blizzard not to put Guilds into Diablo 3. Clans were a huge part of the Diablo 2 multiplayer, and clan duels in Diablo 2 were still some of the best PvP times ever.
The dueling system is what set it off. It was perfect. If they keep it how it was before, along with putting arenas or "battle gounds" into the game, you could have the perfect game. Imagine being able to join a small game. 32 (maybe 64, and if we're lucky 128) people, and being able to go hostile. Or, if there is a person in a Guild, go hostile with the the entire guild, which then makes your guild hostile with them. Say a 64v64 guild battle. With individual Caps AND Tunics with your guild's CUSTOM identification image. Imagine uploading an amazing graphic that would be printed on everyone in your guild's armor. Like engraved.
Guilds are a perfect way to put team cooperation into Diablo, which is what the whole multiplayer experience is about. Massive guild wars with over 100 people would surely create the best MMORPG/RPG in the world, and on Blizzard's side, won't require a lot of work.
100vs100 guild battles. Mmm.. Tasty.
Well i like that idea but i was thinking an extra channel type thing just more organised then D2, I was thinking the clan leader could add/remove organize and all that good stuff and possibly able to make other clan members like lets say someone that started the clan with u able to add/remove and all that stuff too. Also add a password to channels if you want to so random people cant join, and if your clan gets large and blizzard notices they could reserve your clan name so random people cant make a name called Lord of XXXXXX without the clan leaders permission, just some ideas possibly we can get a clan started here if n1's up for it

It's all been said. The pun, the not so funny joke, the phrase, something about oneself, the not so random picture.

I don't really care, I think were making to much of a big deal about the name and not focusing enough on what Blizz can do to improve the guild system. I wanna hear some ideas of what you think Blizzard can do to make Guild/Clan activites more fun in D3 thats what I want to know, Who gives a fuck if its called a Clan or a Guild it's all the same shit right?
that would be cool if you got all ur clan members in a channel and it automatically assigned each member to a class so everyone wernt all mele or ranged so it made a nice even clan/guild
Well, I guess what I'm looking for in this thread is ideas concerning the aspects of guilds and or clans in Diablo III.
I would like to see custom titles given to members of the clan, such as Lord of XXXXX or something. You'd be able to pick whatever you'd like I guess.
Another thing I'd like to see is a member list. The leader of the guild would get a scroll which he would keep and could add/remove members, change titles, and other various organizing. Each member of the clan would have a special slot in their inventory for guild scrolls.
Share some ideas - I know you got 'em!
I have to agree with you about this. But I'm not sure about the "guild scrolls".

My opinion "single player games" they get boring
and repative online play gets boring also obviously but with clans it just makes you wanna get better and play more.
