You guys must have an experience about when u left your char data (D2.key . ext2) and how easy ,when someone tryin to steal your rare item that you find it with SUPER hard work!!!!! i mean it!!! man it sucks.
so i suggest how about putting some kind of a password or a security and then you can open it just to ensure the safety of your item.

Well, see... that's the problem with LAN. Your characters are actually saved on your own computer and not the Battle.NET servers. What you can do is, each time you'd play, go to the folder where it's all saved at, and cut and paste all the files pertaining to your character (all the files about your character has your character name on it) on a different folder. And then, hide the folder somewhere else. And then, when it's you who plays again, just paste it back to where you found them.
And no, it doesn't mean you can have the two same type of characters in one game. It would read you error messages and might lock the game up. Haha, trust me, I've tried that one, mate.
Oh, and for those who do not know. Those are the files that hack programs like Jamella Editor and Maphack need to influence the game.
