So, I noticed now when you kill a boss that is also a bounty you get a diabolic hoard chest spawn and currently on PTR this is in-fact a very viable way to farm gear... I've not seen many people speaking about this, I didn't even seen any mention of it in the patch notes first I saw of it was when I got one during bounties. Do you guys think farming bounty-bosses will be a viable way to farm on live, or do u feel this chest is only giving a farm-viable amount of loot due to the 2000% buff and will quickly be over-shadowed by rifts?
Also, how is this such a quiet topic? Isn't more ways to farm gear than just rifts one of the main things people have been asking for? I for one welcome this option and hope they expand further... I long for a time when the choice of rifts, bounties, bosses, campaign clears, greater rifts or even just specific zone farming are all viable things to do as diversity is one thing the game sorely lacks.
I would approve of this if this is another viable way to farm gear.
Sometimes I don't have enough time to sneak on and do all 5 bounties in and Act and then repeat all the other Acts for bounty farming, just being able to hop in and kill a boss bounty would be nice.
I hope it's not just good because of the 2000% legendary buff.
Thing is. When the 2k buff is gone. Rifts will be better again. That chest will probably drop 1 legendary every 10 chest or something along those lines
I haven't entered the PTR yet, but you should be able to correlate the drops from boss chests to that of a rift. Even at the 2000% drop rate, you should be able to get a good enough sample size and correlate the two

No, you really can't. The chest drops like 5-6 items and with the 2000% drop rate pretty much all of them are legendaries everytime, you are "lucky" to find a non-legendary from them. So to get a significant amount of data you would need to open thousands to ten thousand chests, which is going to be pretty much impossible with 5-21 hour queue times.
Sorry, I meant I tested it on PTR, didn't come up with a method of testing if it was the magic find influenced or not, was purely speculative and based on previous Blizz behaviours
As of right now, if a boss is apart of the bounty it will drop the new chest.
Technically, I think it would be a good idea to make bounties like this.
Do all the bounties that aren't bosses, then the final one (whomever) the boss is will drop the chest and have a higher chance of rewarding.
I have to agree with this. They could make it so it unlocks once all the bounties for that act is done you get a bonus one, could have a 1 guaranteed legendary drop it it with and have a chance to drop cache legendary items.
Welp, the buff is gone and the drops from the chest drops are junk... Very disappointing, I really don't get it. I feel like it can't be that hard for Blizz for example to say "ok rifts give an average of 6 legs/hr, so lets make it so that clearing a campaign act, farming bosses etc. give the same amount of reward" I mean, bounties/ubers are fine because they give unique and desirable rewards which I think is a good system... I just don't understand a reason to have content in the game and not to utilize it when I feel doing so would be very simple.... Sure they couldn't get it perfect, but if it's close enough just to add a bit more diversity into the game.
This is kind of how D2 worked.. Baal, mephy, chaos, Mlvl 86, council gold farming and many other farming methods were viable and that was something that kept the game from going stale for me personally.

Safe to assume it's affected by the buff, since 6-8 legendarys probably isn't going to happen for 1 bounty done in 10 sec. Yeah I tested it.

Magic find doesn't affect how many items drop though, so if they keep this.. I know where I'm going to get my crafting mats

T8 was like 15 seconds few hours ago.. Seasons ending seemed to make people stop playing.
