anyone else have TERRIBLE loot luck? or at least lately?
i've done 62 Azmodan + Cydaea 5 stack runs. They take me about 20-25 minutes.
In those 62 runs, I have found 3 items that I could sell on the AH, one decent pair of pants, that i sold for 875k, 1 pair of boots I sold for 425k, and one pair of shoulders I sold for 115k.
And I know loot quite well, I know I'm not selling shit that could sell. I made my money at first buy buying low and selling high on AH, that's where about half my income from buying my current gear came from.
I swap out to 250% MF before I down both bosses.
I'm honestly about to quit because I just don't understand the point... If there's no loot, and no way to make money, WTF is the point?
Somebody hold me. ONE good drop would inspire me... but fuck, what will it take?
well, it is not just you, i been playing for almsot 200 hours. my barb, can solo act 1 no problem, but i havent got any shit from act 1 besides this shield i sold for 3m. other than that all my drops weak. i cant progress act 2-4 because i cannot afford better gear. never got any legendary drops ( not even shitty one).
my barb has about 800-900 resis all, 6k damage, and 40k hp.
so im quittin this now until 1.03 drops see if i can farm better. or else this game is done for me.

Same mate...
I feel that my barb gets shitty drops only..
I have been farming a1-a2 for over 100 hours after i got geared for it, and still not even 1 set or legendary drop...
In ~15 5NV Cydaea/Asmo runs i managed to get great 1H crossbow that's not going to sell becouse DH's aren't fancy dualweilding (dunno why), and great 80str/160vit/77 resist all helm that went for 2.5mil in first 20 mins (guess it was cheap for such). Rest is nothing to even talk about - vendored. What's even more annying is that in past 2 weeks i got lvl 60 legendary staff and 2H sword, why wouldn't it be a stormshield.
Anyway, worst part of playing tanky barb is being unable to stack at least a bit of magic find. My monk with ~100 MF is getting rares from champions frequently, not to mention 3-4 yellows per boss. When i tried to look for MF gear for my barb it either costed A LOT, or would be straight downgrade to my defensive/offensive stats that i really need to keep killing elites.
I am in the same boat. I have found a few decent items to sell from Act 2 but have found that is is more profitable from a gold and item drop perspective to farm act 1 with 5 stacks. I had consistently been getting between 75k and 150k from gold and vendor items and getting some good stuff for AH (nothing amazing but a solid string of stuff that sold from 25k to 200k).

I'm in the same boat. I make more money farming Act 1 than I do Act 3. Part of it is because of speed. But also rare armors can roll pretty much the same affixes (just lower armor), so I still find rares that sell for 500k - 2m. Weapons are all crap unless you get a nice stat stick for a follower, then they sell for 100k, but the crap weapons still vendor for 1200-2000g each. With 1.0.3, I imagine a lot of people will move to farming Act 1 because it's so much faster and due to increased repair costs associated with farming Act 2-4.
If you guys want to get out of the inferno farming mode while waiting for the patch, I highly suggest leveling a hardcore character.
You guys make me laugh, I'm farming inferno act1/2 for 2 good weeks now, I sold for less than 100k... Haven't found a weapon with more than 600 dps (2handed) or 400dps (1handed), haven't found 1 single legendary or set yet overall, not even a level 10 one, I never got more than 500 000 gold on my account because I can't find anything decent and I had to buy some gear at 60 to be able to get in early inferno. Haven't found a single piece to upgrade my toon.
So you, it has been a terrible experience for me so far. Hope I will get lucky somehow and grab a good item to sell for a few hundreds or even a million so I can progress.
It was the same thing for me in Diablo 2, farming daily with MF sorc hell pindle/meph/baal, the best item I ever got (once) was a shako which I kept for the MF.
Don't play the game if you want your character able to beat the game. You have to work for your items either by stock trading the gold ah or just literally outside of bnet and buy your stuff from the rmah.
That's how it happens. You go on a streak one day or maybe for a week, where you get tons of good stuff. Then, you go for another streak getting crap. It's all about playing the odds.
If you play this game expecting to get great loot for every kill, you are playing the wrong game. Part of the longevity of the game lies in the fact that good loot is supposed to be hard to come by.
well lucked out this morning and found a decent blackthornes jacket, sold it for 4 mill right away...
havent looked at the AH in a while though, I see 4 mill now, is what 500k was 1 week ago.
need 10-15 mill for any reasonable upgrade now.
i clear act 3 easy enough, 20-25 min cydaea + azmodan 5 stack runs.. so I'm just gonna say F gearing anymore, it's brutal, the RMAH just made the gold grind 1000x worse.
any decent item i get anymore is going on the RMAH. game just became a little cash on the side instead of a fun time killer for me now. luckily i can play at work, so i can make a lil money while I make money.

I'm so annoyed..
Don't set unobtainable goals. I'ts a game, not a fucking job.
You're right, no doubt, but it's not unobtainable to beat the game. Barbs kill Inferno Diablo every day, all it takes is gear for many millions of gold. My problem with the game is, that I won't get these millions of gold in a reasonable time frame by playing my Barb. There are much, much shorter ways to that goal, it's just that they're not enjoyable(to me).

Any hints? What the hell am I doing wrong?

My Hardcore DH that has 70 hours played have like 3 legendarys and 2 set items..
