I'm having some troubles beginning Act 1 in co-op games. I'm playing with a Witch Doctor at the moment. He does excellent damage and generally relies on me to keep mobs off of him while assisting with slow, hex, etc.
I kind of feel like dead weight as we progress through Act 2 and was hoping someone might have some suggestions. We have already killed Zolton Kulle but a lot of it has been luck on my part.
I know my damage is very low, I think that may be an area I need to focus on. Any suggestions would be super. Please keep in mind that I pretty exclusively play co-op, which is why I've made choices like Demoralize. Regardless, I welcome all suggestions!
Why so many blue items?
What are the stats, like, resist and vitality?
And I noticed you have only +4% total life bonus. I have +41% on my (2h dps) barbarian.
Chest, shoulder, head, ring, all those items can have +% life on them, helms even without socket. You could easily increase that hp to 60k by gearing smart.
What kind of a weapon are you using to have that low dps? 250 dps weapon? You can get a 600 dps 1h for 50k.
You have good tank stats, but Diablo 3 is not WoW. You can't "tank" monsters. We only have 1 (crappy) skill that can hold monsters on us for 3 seconds. They switch targets easily and you unable to do any damage hurts in teams.
My suggestion is, get a phat 2h sword, replace those blue items, buy gear with str/vit/all resist and you'll suddenly have more fun.
I'm having plenty of fun and I know I can't "tank"- and I don't- but I keep monsters off of the people I'm playing with, keep things like mortar mobs in order, and make them easier to kill for everyone involved.
All the blue items are res and vit. The 1hr has 560 dps. I haven't come across any other items with +% life just yet.
Thanks for the tips, I'll keep an eye out for more +% life, but I plan to keep on the sword and board.
Your strength is really low, consider adding more strength items to your build. It's important not only for the damage increase. but for the armor increase as well. Your resist and armor should be in a 1:10 ratio of one another, meaning you should have at least 8000 armor with your current resists. If you increased your strength to over 1000, you would also be able to do 8-10k damage, which is enough to at least do some damage to mobs in A2. 40-45k HP is the sweet spot, I'm still increasing my HP to get there, I think I'm rocking 38k HP right now, with 800 resists, 9.5k armor, and 13k damage.
