I'm having a really hard time getting thru Act3 Inferno. Can anyone please make any suggestions...
just looking for some feedback if possible..
Please I know I'm lame but just looking for ideas on what to improve....
Thanks for taking the time..
You can farm act III with 12k dps, whether or not its "effective" depends on your definition and if you feel your time is well spent.
@ OP The neck looks to me like the most obvious place to upgrade and increase your survivability, Try to get a neck with 500+ LoH, and some vitality, 35k HP is pretty low for a sword and board build. It looks like you are relying quite a bit on +life% to increase your HP, but without a decent amount of vitality to go off of, that %life isn't really doing that much to help you out.
Also, its pretty important to get All resist on pretty much every piece of gear as a barb, especially if you are going sword n board and planning on taking a lot of punishment. I'd say aim for at least 600ish All resist unbuffed, with extra resists in fire and physical.
Also; Helm of Command
edit: I just noticed your shield is also a good place to look for an upgrade, since it only has 10% block, look for a shield that has all res and 18% or higher block (+block% is always good). It looks like you have tried to get as much dps as possible while ignoring survival stats, I wouldn't worry too much about getting crit on every peice of gear possible, focus on getting gear that will make u live longer first.
Thank you for the advise, I need all the pointers I can get. I really appreciate you taking the time to look this over and provide feedback.
I will make necessary upgrades as recommended.
Forego some of your offensive stats, I think a chunk of vit would go a long way with that amount of %life, and definately some more resist, I personally managed clearing my way to Diablo on Inferno, only skipping some champ packs with barely any LoH, but I'd probably advice getting a decent amount. A helm with socket (for % life), vit and all res could be an option.
As far as the spec goes, I've never been much of an ignore pain kind of guy. I'd swap Ignore Pain for Leap with Iron Impact. Leap has a much higher up time and also provides mobility which i much prefer over Ignore Pain. And then swap the Overpower rune to Crushing Advance, it's just amazing and if you decide to still keep some crit gear it's even gonna have a decent uptime. The redirected damage is basically reflected onto the mobs, and as it counts as you hitting them it will also trigger your LoH.
Anyway @Beckett, if you want to be able to "Tank" thru act 3, up your resist to ard 800 buff + 1k LOH then you'll be fine...By fine i mean you can take alot more hit..
Switch Revenge in to your Right mouse click so you can "Instictly spam it"...Use melee as your "Healing object" and make range mobs your priority kill object.
Btw, you only need passive such as 25% armor, Ruthless and Weapon master.
Leap and OP is very close to what they can do (In terms of survivalbility). Leap has the fancy thingy to get you out of situation. OP reflect rune will help you to have more uptime in DPS. To me (Act 3 onwards), Ignore pain and OP (rotating CD) is a really good combo against some really nasty Elite affix while i was progressing (Jailer + conc, Fire chain). OP lowers your CD on Crit hit, but Leap doesn't, your choice.
Your current AR can only let you farm Act 2 with ease (i hope). Act 3 is a totally different ball game.
So much info my head hurts. But this is great info. As I have a lvl 60 mage for farming gold I have rolled a bard and having a blast. But now on Hell and kinda playing with my build and I did wanna go tanky also.
Just want to say "thanks again" to those who took the time to provide feedback. I will be making some suggested adjustments,
Once the servers are back up today. I'll post again with any progress I made..

The only real limitation in Diablo 3 is defense.

The less resist u have, the more dps u need to kill elite fast enough.
So is a choice u have to make...
I prefer leap. It help me jump between 2 platform (save time), let me get in or out a crowd of mob and also snared kiting mob.
