Can dodges proc Revenge? I realize that the tooltip says "each time you are hit," but I thought the possibility might exist since it has been confirmed that blocks will proc Revenge.
I don't think so. If you dodge something it misses you. I believe there was a discussion somewhere in a build thread about this .. as in it was recommended to not use Revenge if you stacked a lot of defense.
I'm not sure about Parry or Block but I'm pretty certain Dodge would not proc it.
I used to think that revenge should proc on dodged hits otherwise dodge heavy builds would be screwed out of using the skill, but now that I think about it I don't think it should proc off dodges.
It already proc's off blocks and if you're trying to spam revenge with provocation then you are already going heavy into increasing your durability because you have to be in the thick of melee with enemies close by anyway to get the full effect from revenge. I would guess a sword and board barb would be best with revenge. I have heard a 2 handed barb would work great with revenge, but not sure how viable that would be on the harder difficulties.
That and it makes zero sense for you to be able to proc effects from attacks that never hit you in the first place except in the case of fury generation from monster attacks which should always proc fury regardless of dodge chance imo.
Will be interesting to see how this works in the full game.
WotB does by 20%, 60% if you rune it. War Cry can be runed for 15%. Sprint can be runed for 12%. Not nearly as much dodge as a monk, but Barbs still do have access to quite a bit of dodge if desired.
Well yes, you can choose to invest in dodge but then you (probably) shouldn't take revenge. Not to mention that aside from War Cry, the dodge on the WotB and Sprint won't be up full time. From my perspective, it would be a bit foolish to build a barb that way but to each their own. Perhaps with gear/group comp you could make it work but I digress...
There's absolutely no reason Revenge should proc off dodge. It doesn't make any sense. The tooltip states its when you are struck. Blocked hit or regular hits only will proc it.

Probably of least concern considering that Dex is not a primary stat and there are no skills that boost dodge for the Barbarian class.
