@Freddy When I read that, I was holding him and he was attacking my hair. He's already getting a bit spoiled. He's been to my office every day this week.
@VegasRage That looks so arid and desolate. Watching it, you expect a camel to come walking into the frame any second. LOL! I like the term "ambient heat." I've experienced it, but never had a term for it. Once I was hiking with my Dad and brother, in the lower parts of Colorado, through semi-desert. The objective was a canyon. Everything was so lifeless and dry all day, and then at the end of the day, we finally reached the canyon, and looking down at that river was just amazing after the dessert type scenery. There were lots of river grasses and trees growing around it, and from up on the rim it was just this inviting ribbon of green. All the guys did some fly fishing and we had fresh trout for dinner. But even when the sun went down, the heat still radiated off of the ground. Eventually it wasn't too bad standing, but on the ground in a tent, it was too hot for anyone to sleep well all night.
Rambling! Sorry! That term just conjured memories.
@tankodiablo 5'8"! I feel like a giant now. I'm 5'11 and I get asked if I play baskterball all the time. Hate it! Then rarely, on a good day, someone will ask if I model instead of if I play basketball. Then I'm actually proud to be tall for a few minutes. LOL!
Trying to pick things I haven't already mentioned here...
I have a blue and gold macaw parrot named Kupo (who's ok with my new pup so far.)
I'm more or less agnostic.
I have four guitars, but can barely play.
My hair is ridiculuosly curly.
I'm developing a slight Redbull adiction this month.
Everyone should have a pirate for a friend. They can always get you all the movies and music you are too lazy to get yourself. They're just cool, chill people with lots of media they didn't pay for.
Yeah I pirate very little, but I have many friends that download series/movies/games and bring it to me or I go get it. One can say that karma got me back for all my illegal series/movies...as I've mentioned before, they broke into my flat and stole a bunch shit including my 1TB external hdd full with just series/movies/music...luckily I had my music on my internal hdd! (I adore listening to music, listen to it as much as possible).
Illegal download---->like---->delete from hard drive---->buy
Dislike? Well it stops at deleting.
That's one reason I buy very little games, they are most of the time not the money worth. I got the pirated BF3 and completed the single player and eventually bought the game, cause It'll last long. And I've been playing it ever since. If I don't like it I delete it as well.
My bro and I buy heaps of tv shows on dvd. However, because where in Australia we get some shows from 3 - 12 months behind the US. We download the shows not being shown in Australia and buy them when they eventually make it to DVD.
I think it's even worst here in RSA. Most of the series don't even show here, just the very popular ones and that's also like 6 months after they've aired overseas. The only ones we get here are How I Met Your Mother, Fringe, and other shitty 20min sitcoms.
I never new that my piracy of movies, games, videos, and other assorted goods cost the entertainment industry so much money in ring tone sales. Lol!
I think the entertainment industry is looking at pirating from the wrong angle: Yes if we download stuff illegally, we didn't buy it --> industry don't get money. I'm pretty sure most of the people who download stuff illegally wouldn't have bought it anyways IF they couldn't download it. So the industry isn't actually loosing money. They just get their money from people buying their products and the rest that download their products are "additional" to the already bought products.
The way they should look at it (and many music artists see it this way): With the above in mind, additional downloads (which doesn't actually "cost" the industry money) get spread around the world, millions of people listen/watch/use the illegal products and some of them will then buy the product after having/using it, which is "additional" money the industry wouldn't have necessarily have gotten any other way.
And there are many people that goes about doin this: They download the product to see if it's worth it, if it is, they'll buy it, if it's not, they delete it.
So my point is that the entertainment industry isn't actually loosing money with pirating, or I might be completely wrong, this is just my 2 cents.
@Succubus We already knew you had "ridiculously curly hair"
My brother's in a quite successful local band (lead guitarist), so the guitars is something he will appreciate, so in essence so will I!!
Random facts about JaundiceBunny, which you probably don't know:
- I'm somewhere between 180cm-185cm, haven't measured myself in a long time.
- Going to bed is a nightmare, getting out of the bed is even worse.
- I'm a very chill guy, I'll stay in a weekend and just watch and eat and game the whole time.
- I enjoy the occasional beer. If I go out with friends, I'll either have a couple of drinks and enjoy the company of my friends or I will get bungalowed (if you get this reference you're awesome), when I'm home alone, I drink cool-drink, not beers.
- I have 2 older brothers and 2 older step sisters, I'm the youngling in the family, but the tallest.
- Don't smoke cigarettes, just hookah, mmm hookah...
- I love cats, although I'm allergic to them.
- I'm very sporty (I had to put this one in here so I don't sound like a total geeky dude ). I played hockey (field), cricket and did athletics in high school but only do hockey in varsity.
- I have straight dark brown hair.
- Funny anecdote: When my eldest brother was very young, he once asked my mom why she married a colored (brown) person , cause my dad has the darkest tanned skin. I inherited some of those genes, so during the winter I don't have to worry about being Twilight white!

5 facts about me
I had 5 out of 6 numbers on a $80 million jackpot lottery ticket (many years ago) ... I lost it before I could go to the California lottery office in Sacramento to cash it in, but I'm fairly certain my landlord stole it but I could never prove it. The ticket was worth about $250,000
I sat next to the Chili Peppers at a drum clinic in SF and didn't know it until someone told me after the event was over. They were disgusted with me.
I got stuck in a shootout in a Denny's parking (drug deal had gone bad) in Concord CA, my breakfast for lunch was great otherwise
I use to race the cable cars up the Hyde street in SF on my mountain bike. I could never win, only was able to pace them, but the tourists would cheer you on. (It's where the cable car in Rice Roni commercials come over the hilltop)
Moved to Las Vegas 15 years ago from Monterey CA and have lamented the move ever since. The only reason I stay here is my job is pretty good and no state taxes in Nevada. The FED's milk me bad enough already... in fact I paid the IRS more this year than I have ever paid in all my life.
Wow, now I'm feeling poor, over-tall, and I'm reminded my taxes are due.
If it makes you feel better it took me 25 years to feel like I recovered from the stolen lottery ticket ...and then there was the 1990's where I saw $3.5 million in preferred stock turn to nothing during the .com bust. That was really painful too.
@VegasRage I'd probably never get over the lottery ticket, especially if thought it was stolen. But on the plus side, it sounds like you're doing very well on your own merits without needing luck. But 250,000$, that's terrible.
On the Batman thing, I aggree with FreddyBenson. Val Kilmer is gorgeous, and I thought he would make a great Batman. But he didn't give the character that dark, brooding quality that has to be there. He's definitely the worst. Clooney was so-so, but I think his best roles were in ER, and .... Oh Brother, Where Art Thou. LOL! Hope he and his dad are released. Was brave, going there.
@Succubus_queen, I was sick over it. It was 1992, I was 24 at that time, I couldn't get the lottery commission on the phone, the guy at the store who sold it to me was of no use at all in helping. I had to go to work and didn't want to lose it so I left it in my apartment on my drafting table, I lived alone in a studio so no roommates. I'm certain my landlady entered my place without 24 hour notice (as is required by law), saw it and took it. I asked her if anyone had been in my place and she insisted no one had but her face told me she was lying. I had no way to prove it.
Yeah things have recently gotten better for me, not early retirement better, but I have some breathing room now. There are really only 2 ways to do well. 1) Start your own company/companies or if you don't want to do that, then 2) get in with a small start up company that has a good business plan and make sure you get stock and options. In both cases becoming an investor focusing on passive income is the objective, once your passive income exceeds your expenses you are free.
1 out of 10 business fail, so if you are willing to start 10 business you are guaranteed 100% chance of success, you probably won't need to start 10 to succeed though.
I did know about many Turks migrating to Germany. I think Turks are almost to Germany what Mexicans are to the U.S.-sources of cheap labor! LOL
And yes I also know a lot about Turkish political history and the military coups and even the risks today of Turkey backsliding away from its secular roots. And no I'm not trolling you. My fiance is Turkish and that's why I go there. I've been there twice now and she has come here a few times. Like, I spent time in Istanbul too. And while in Izmir I went to Sirince and Alsancak and some other cities I can't quite remember at the moment.
Hehe, so I actually did meet someone in real life I met on the internet and now I'm going to marry her. I'm a pretty introverted guy myself, yet I'm not shy either. I think they call that an outgoing introvert.
Don't try to kill yourself, guy! You live in Germany, the land of chocolate! And even the land of Haribo, I might add. Have you been to Dresden. I went there last spring and it's an amazing city.

Combined? Close, I paid almost $60,000 this year in taxes.
