Hopefully just my weekday evenings. But I am dying to play more D3 right now, and I probably will have to at least try DOTA2 for a few minutes. I've been anxious to play it, but I'll probably be awful at it. Games that are highly strategic, fast paced, and mostly played against other humans tend to cause me to panic and do random, senseless, frantic things. I'll probably get called Noob about 5 times per minute, and then give up.

Haha don't worry, I'm pretty sure there's even more noobier noobs that's gonna play Dota 2...I bought Battlefield 3 last weekend and though I was gonna do fine, but I was wrong...for the beginning at least. Now I'm pretty averagely mediocre!! I was also panicky at the beginning, but you get the hang of it eventually.

That's the way I am on some things. Very old example, but Warcraft III. I started PvP just knowing that I would be the very worst player in the world, and I would panic and do stupid stuff. But I stuck with it and eventually reached a point where I could keep a level head and play okay. Good luck with Battlefield 3!
There are 40 books to my knowledge in the world of Forgotten Realms by R.A.Salvator.
And Buttered toast dipped in cereal, an omlet with ham and cheese, a couple slices of sausage, and a glass of orange juice is THE best breakfast bar none.
I would say Soth would win because I like the genre that he is part of better. Fantasy is better than Science Fantasy.
Although, I believe Artemis Entreri would slaughter them both while using his dagger and Charon's Claw. Especially if he teamed up with his once-sole-enemy, now beneficial ally, the drow of ironies, Drizzt Do'Urden.
Even if Entreri is one of the most powerful humans and wields magical items and has decades of experience in fighting, he still could not beat Soth. I mean, first of all Lord Soth is technically undead, and he can just kill a human by using a power word spell like death. Drizzt could possibly ruin Soth's plans and get away with it, but kill him or beat him in a fight, i dont think so. Unless he aqquires the right magical items that could help him at the time.
But Soth Vs Darth Vader is epic because they both really resemble each other and have similar powers.
Raistlin Majere VS Gandalf the white?
You don't even know who Entreri is and what Charon's Claw can do (Gauntlet part of the two piece set), do you? Not to mention the vampiric dagger of his and his incredible fighting skills. If he was Drow, then he would be several times better than Drizzt, who is no light weight. And the fact that he's a master assassin that killed many a target despite being heavily guarded by muscle and magic. Ezio would be jealous of him.

Well i read the ICe Wind Dale triology and he is a part of it. I knew that he appears in many books that come later but i didnt get to all of those. I read some story i think it was "best of the realms" where they had a story about him too, was interesting. Still i guess that he could redirect spells usng the gauntlet but to what use? Soth cannot be destroyed, not even if he is blinded by ash, light and smoke, cut several times from all sides, projected at with his own spells. Again, Artemis is as powerful as a human can get, but is no match to Soth. NO?

The spoiler contains the effects that Charon's Claw can do.
Charon's Claw gauntlet can absorb any magic directed at it's wearer and can continue to do so until the wearer decides to unleash all that stored magic back at an enemy. The sword part requires the gauntlet to wear it, unless you have a stong enough will to overpower the sword, in which case you can use the sword without the gauntlet. Artemis Entreri and Grandmaster Kane are the only two to master that sword. Which can do all sorts of shade-like things like creating curtains of ash to block the view of others. I think it can open portals to the shadow realm as well, if I remember correctly. Artemis killed a dracolich using Charon's Claw. The vampiric dagger takes the targets essence and gives it to the wielder, this is how Artemis becomes part shade, because he used it on a shade at one point. One touch of the dagger, one scratch is all it takes to use the vampiric magic to suck out the soul.

Grandmaster Kane was the one who used the fake gaunlets Entreri placed and got burned to death?
Lets say that Entreri somehow managed to open a portal to Sithicus asuming that Soth is still there. Approaching the castle for Artemis would be a simple task and ultimately finding Soth in a great hall of some sort. If they were to engage in a duel, Lord Soth would probably underestimate the human's abilities and will remain seated or standing still, maybe even allow the human to strike at him first. What could happen to the death knight from this vampiric magic? It has no soul to suck out am i correct?

We really should create a seperate thread for these kind of discussions, that way we don't need spoilers.
Entreri got Charon's Claw from some wealthy merchant. The magic would take the animating force that is Soth and kind of turn Artemis into undeath with soth being a pile of rotted flesh and bones. That's a sacrifice Entreri will not likely make, but will make if there's no way out. It's how he became part shade. I won't throw a psionic drow into the equation who would make Entreri impervious to all attacks and then he could just touch a target and everything that should of happened to Artemis, would happen to the person he touches. Same thing happens when he fought Drizzt to the death.

In Video Game history- puttign an X on the end of somethign means its more powerful, or improved or experimental or something. So, keep LinkX, but do a pallet swap on your avatar. Maybe Grey-black skin and glowing red eyes. LOL

Thanks Verity! I haven't tried it yet, but I'll definitely check out that thread when I do.
I have managed to stay away from DOTA2 this weekend, but I couldn't put the Diablo III beta down. I just need 4 more levels on my witch doctor and I will have all the achievements except Life Saver and Over Achiever. Maybe Monday I can finish.
Ha! Yeh, there's that too. Maybe change it to..... XOXO~Link~XOXO. That would be killer awesome. No, I'm not serious. That's proably obvious, but just in case.

You really need to get a move on. I will tell you that you should read some of the other stuff that deals with Faerun as well.

YES or NO
Would it be the same if I changed my name to Link?
Think that's a good idea or a bad idea?
(Assuming it is possible.)
