Heya, I just finished up a design for my D3 youtube channel.
I basically took my favorite pieces of artwork for each class and put them together with the stone-ish background.
If you have any feedback regarding the design or the channel in general I'd be very happy if you told me here or through PM!
Thanks in advance,
Verity
I contemplated putting it in the fan art forum, but it's not really fan art so this seemed to be the best fit.
Well, since I know nothing about art/youtube design and haven't really seen other Diablo 3 youtube designs, all I can say is, it looks really good!
The only thing that I can kinda criticize about which is really not that bad, is that the female Wizard should either be moved to the right a bit so her whole body is visible, but then it'll cut her staff's cool electrified top off...perhaps switching the wizard and Witch Doctor? But then again you want to be able to see the wizard's staff's cool electrified top...dunno. That's all I can see

Depending on how wide your screen is you can see the full body. On my 16:10 monitor it just cuts off a bit of her sword. I wanted to keep the characters rather big to display the awesome art, but I suppose I could maybe shrink her down a tad and move her in a little. People with less wide monitors will of course miss part of the art, but it's kinda unavoidable.
It was a hard choice to put the poor WD under the text in the middle :P, buuut I think it's a nice detail and she'll just have to live with it!

I have a 1680x1050 monitor, also 16:10. It almost cut off her whole head, everything to the left of her left eye shows...I'm assuming it should also be with your screen like this.
Yeah don't shrink the art, just move the wizard a touch imo.

Aha, I'm on 1920*1200 so that's why.
I'll get to it when I get back home.
looks good, i dont really do much yt'ing so i wouldnt really know, but at first glance i see no issues.
Thanks!
So I fixed the whole resolution deal to what I think is a pretty nice solution. What I ended up doing was just slightly moving all of the characters closer to the center, adjusting some of the sizes but more noticeably flipping the wizard horizontally. So now if you have a lower width resolution you at least get a face and her cool sword. If you have a higher resolution you get that+her cool staff. I think that worked out best in the end.
At the moment it's set so that at 1920 width (which is a very popular resolution nowadays with 1080p screens dominating the "gaming"/"media-viewing" market) you see all of the characters in full. But it is still very view-able on lower resolutions as well. Obviously when you get closer to 960px width you won't see much of the sides since 960 is the amount of space the actual youtube page fill up, but that's not really anything I can cater to.
Thanks again for the feedback, feel free to nitpick even more if you like!
..Now to get some actual content up there.. Damn you Zelda and Skyrim! You suck all my available time from me and put it into your baskets of fuzzy gaming awesomeness..
