So basically I have come back to Diablo 3 after a long break and a lot of items are worth huge amounts of gold and the game has really toned down from its streamers ect.
I was never a fan of kingkonger or kripparian or any of those streamers. We just watched them play the game, and there wasn't really any kind of entertainment other than kripp thinking he was king shit.
I have been watching cody's stream for quite some time now and it is definitely worth checking out. Basically he sells unids and does ALOT of giveaways. I have seen some godly items rolled on his stream and sometimes the giveaways can roll crazy good. Tonight a 4.5% crit str mempo rolled as a give away, which is awesome for a lucky viewer. So yeah guys lots of awesome giveaways and lots of unids for sell. No no one has asked me to post his stream on here, I am just doing it because its honestly the best stream I have seen, even better than manapots. It's fun to watch people roll unids, sometimes they can quad their money. I have pure RNG in this game, so I will never roll that gfg item lol.
All streams are the same. Only person I have respect for is Kripp. In all the time Ive watched him playing, he has never stooped low enough to start the whole "FREE GIVEAWAYZ! I NEEDZ MORE VIEWERS PLEASE!" or the famous "BUILDING VIEWERZ GEAR SETZ, OMG COME IN!".

I agree with Mehsiah, with the exception of kripp. I think every streamer is a leech, and all they care about is views, because obviously views = money. Of course the people who post on here with give-a-ways and whatnot are even worse, but I categorize them all as only self-interested.
In the end I still don't understand why people would want to just sit there and watch someone else play a game like Diablo.

No bcuz you need to get partner´d f.e. with twitch to get some small amount of money for running ads. Most people using adblock anyways so the only "real money" comes from donations and/or subs(in fact 50% of the sub fee since twitch takes the other 50%). Oh and btw. kripp is one of those few ppl. getting a decent amount from streaming. In terms f d3 there are like 4 or 5 streamers making some money.
- Kongor(I dont watch this douchbag. imo hes annoying as fuk)
- Archon(he puts all/most of the ad rev. into carity afaik)
- Modz(spending alot of the ad rev into giveaway)
- Ziss(same like mods)
- Inigo(didnt watch him often cuz i dislike the music hes playing :D)
Over the months as he was streaming on twitch.tv Angel was able to solicit over $20,000 in donations and stream earnings.
Prolly the "streamer" or should i say scammer in his case with highest ernings.
I fail to see where you've disproved my point. 'Small money' or not, all these people want IS money, and what I was saying is it's annoying to constantly see 'omg giveaways', or 'omg win stuff for watching', or even 'omg I give money to charity!'.
Also, you DO realize the VAST majority of charities are scams, right? Even the seemingly legitimate ones often times won't report where exactly any of the money is going. So writing someone off as good just because they 'give to charity' doesn't actually mean anything.

Dont know where you live, but in most civilised countries, charities are supervised.
Kripp is a self righteous idiot who makes videos about how great he is going asn on us with the cocky dumbass look on his face, that's my honest opinion of the boy. Cody dgaf about views nor has he even tried to promote his stream. This is me saying to this trash filled community check this guy out. He sells unids and gives away unids and you are gonna knock on him for that? The thing about his stream is all the same people keep coming back. He does it in a non db way, plain and simple.
Do they come for the items or to see him play?
Would you also like to tell me what doing it in a non db way mean exactly? The qualification non db is unknown to me

On topic : this sounds like advertising.
lmao... ohhh buddy =) Have you every actually tried to FOLLOW the money given? MOST, and I do mean most, charities are corrupt. Civilized countries have nothing to do with it. Look at the 9/11 fund started right after the attacks. George Bush went on the record to state he and everyone else had 'no idea' where the millions went after they received the money.
Take 20$, donate it, and then try to follow it. Try to ask exactly where it's going, what %, ect. 9/10 times, you won't be able to.
My off-topic point is, don't be such a sucker that just because it's labeled 'charity' it's all well and good. And don't be an even bigger sucker when someone says they donate to charity, and you immediately use that as some sort of ground for that person being a good person.

It's what DreamWalker said; Don't be so naive.
What many people don't know is that non-profit charities produce great salaries for their administrators. "Non-profit" doesn't mean people don't make a great deal of money from such endeavors. It's actually a great business model.
About 7% of all money donated to the Red Cross goes straight inot the executives pockets. Donate $100, you just paid their execs $7. http://www.businessi...d-cross-2012-11
In 2010, top executive compensation looked like this:
Executive director Gail McGovern made $561,210
EVP for biomedical services James Hrouda made $621,779
Biomedical services president Shaun Gilmore made $573,933
This is way off topic. There is nothing wrong with casual streaming at all. You nimwits should realize the only people making money are people like Kripparian and other pro gamers. People who pull in over 1k viewers make money if they have a deal with twitch and a lot of streamers don't even run ads. Duke ain't here to make money off his stream lol, good people come in and make it rather enjoyable. Ya'll be hating because you guys have probably attempted streaming and failed @ it.
My name is twoflower, man And if they generate enugh income to live off it, then why is it not a job?
Then you would consider drug dealing a "job"? There's a difference between doing something that earns money, and a job. That difference is often best described as stability and consistency.
I would guess that most streamers don't have kids and likely live off of their parents, whom have real jobs. I'm sure their streams pay for their bag of pot, but little else.
I sell junk on ebay. Anything really. I go to yard sales and swap meets, I buy anything from antiques to doll house miniatures, pressure cookers to old SNES games and sell them online. I make a respectable amount of money doing this. But that money is not stable, it's just a hustle. I own several rental properties and I work as a forklift driver part-time, those are jobs.
I suppose much of this is just semantics. If you can earn a living by streaming, call it what you will. I seriously doubt that any more than .9% of all streamers can actually make a substantial, livable income doing this. It's an illusion that appeals to unmotivated losers. This idea that you can make a living by sitting around playing games all day is ridiculous, and just because a very (infinitesimally) small minority of them can pull it off, it does not suggest that this is a viable way of paying rent.

They obviously provide a service that enugh people want to watch, otherwise they could not live off the add revenues.
The leeches are the ones that just game all day and cash in social services. At least the streamers got a job.

Streaming isn't a job. Jesus Christ, man........
I'm sure that streamers could still qualify for welfare. I seriously doubt they file tax returns on their Manticores.
