C'mon guys! We can do better than this! Think we can hit 1,000? Remember, we want this as big as possible! Please post this on reddit and any other site that can promote this easily enough. I sadly cannot register to reddit so I cannot do this myself.
(Don't know if this will solve anything, but this is a site to express your concern. I don't believe I am violating any rules by doing this.I'm just asking you to go to the link. Be sure to bump the post if you want this supported.)
I'm not sure if I should be surprised or not that they aren't doing a roll back. They'd rather spend more time and effort to keep their like 10,000-100,000$ and ruin the game in the long run. Yeah, that's a lot of money, but in the end, they are going to end up profiting less and we will suffer for it. For what you might ask? For 12 hours of gameplay. We are sacrificing 12 hours of gameplay to gimp our economy further.
There are so many people, so many, that have made billions of gold from the dupe exploit without actually using the exploit themselves. Look at inigomontoya. He spent 60b on junk. That's 60b just from him alone. Imagine the people who actually had money on their bnet account. I read someone spending 100$ somewhere on the forums. If they spent their money all on the gems, that'd be 10b from that person alone. I made about 600m from what gems I already had.
The damage is definitely less than if nothing was done, but it will definitely affect us. I think the value of gold will drop in half. I mean, it'd be nice to have this 600m+ that I gained, but in the end, I'd rather have all the duped gold out of the system. I didn't even know I was getting duped gold until the AH closed.
This isn't a RIP thread. I am posting this because I'd really prefer a rollback. I can live without it, but we got to at least try.
I appreciate your desire for the game to retain it's integrity. I really do. But I think it's prudent to wait and see how things shake out. Blizz seemed confident that the issue is under control. I have no reason to think they would lie.
If they cannot mitigate the bulk of the damage, I would support a total rollback. Hell, I didn't even play but for a few minutes yesterday and was hoping to log-in today and see the 'Item Label' bug fixed, and I find out all this shit went down after I logged out. I would just hate to see innocent people get burned out of whatever great drops they may have gotten yesterday due to all this. As I'm sure Blizz is concerned about.
Shame too, a damn fine patch and it's being overridden by panic over a clumsy bug that slipped through the cracks.
All points are true. At least if we do this ahead of time, if they so decide that everything is good and in the end, it isn't, at least this will be here to say that everyone wants a rollback. This vote won't be finished over night to convince them of anything. Thanks for the input though. =)
I don't know.. I would probably want a rollback if i was on the US. But people are just too greedy. I see people in stream chats claiming they got away with billions of gold and didn't get banned or anything. If they are telling the truth (probably 90% of them aren't) then shit is really fucked up.
The people who ended up with all that money didn't use the dupe but took advantage of it. As I said, I didn't even know what was going on, I just saw a chance to cash in. If I had money on the RMAH, or more gems, I'd be rich right now.
I'm not gonna lie, that's the only reason I care. I like to make money and no this isn't some "career" for me. Multiboxing for a couple hours a day can net a couple 100$ a month, so it's a nice bonus. Again, it isn't going to hurt to at least attempt to get them to do something. I don't recall to many polls on the game except the ones that get locked because they are asking for replies to be votes. Not to mention there isn't a way to have a real vote on the forums, so it is very limited to the amount of people able to show concern. Thanks for your input though.
Everyone...relax...take a deep breath and stop posting "R.I.P. Diablo 3" threads @ Bnet. A bit melodramatic, aye?

I could care less. Ill still be able to find great deals, Ill still be able to sell stuff..and oh yeah you have been able to flip the shit out of gems for months now, buy for 0.80c and sell for 30mil sell the gold you made wash/rince/repeat and what happened to the economy absolutely not a damn thing.
30m sells for like 1$ now, after taxes, it's more like 70c. Not sure how that's a profit.
Thats now ...back when it was .25c per million you could bank billions flipping gems..and how was that economy prior to patch 1.0.8..just freaking fine.

Right now? You mean right now...while the AH's are offline? You know, the AH's you cannot view or enter so you have absolutely zero god damn clues as to what is going for what?

Don't need to be so literal. I am talking pre dupe and I am sure it is going to be lower after the AH is back up. Regardless, it doesn't take any pertinence away from what I said except that I was being to zealous.

Pre-patch the floor was 0.25c per mil after the patch its 0.25c per 10 mil. How is that a profit..you will see gem gold prices rise because gems are the real currency in game and gem prices fall on the RMAH. MOST of the people playing will not use 3rd party sites to cash out so they buy the only thing that is sure to sell and thats gems to cash out. Gem prices will stabilize at a new level in comparison to what gold is selling on the RMAH for and the cycle of gem flipping will still continue. And STILL the economy will be fine.

This will be a non-issue in a days time.
