and this post isn't about you and what you do when you play, sure you farm paragon when you "feel like it" but that's not the case for other people. and no i don't prefer 1.0.4 pre legendaries, it was a good change but they couldve done so much more. Anyone else not think it's ok that the only viable legendary 2h is skorn? or that staves or 2h mighty weapons arent even considered viable? I understand you're point about the skills and how in every games theres always going to be that one build that beats all but atleast in diablo 2 each class had more than 2 builds that were comparable to each other. Then they go and say they scrapped the old skill system for a new one for the same results? not even that but worse? and sure act 3 is by far the most efficient, im not asking for the other acts to be better or even the same, im asking for them to be comparable. because once in awhile a change of scenery would be nice without having to sacrifice efficiency. Yes, i play the game for fun, but most of the fun for me is finding the best items and i would assume that, that's how it is for atleast some people. So why not make some of the acts more comparable? is that so hard to ask?
90% of the stuff you are whining about (items, monster density, legendaries, skills) is stuff Blizzard has said they're fixing (or re-fixing, or iterating on).
So you know what? Instead of whining about it, wait for the actual solution they come up with.
No one wants to hear this. They want something done, no matter what it is, to feel better. Judging by the OP's post, as long as Blizzard just does 'something', that's WAY better the if they plan out something that will work, and implement it later.
You people are ridiculous, especially when you yell you want something done, yet you can't come up with anything besides "fix X issue", without adding any thought to it.
Its not the player-base's job to come up with solutions...
This work together horse shit mentality blizz has been feeding you guys is nothing but brainwashing.
I haven't posted in a while (still playing, though!), but reading that blue post made me wish I could get in direct contact with Travis. Over and over throughout the post, he alludes to the AH being a game-breaking service, such as how it is affecting itemization (and players' satisfaction, or lack thereof, with it), crafting, etc. He also mentions the fact that drop rates and stat rolls on gear will be getting better, i.e. more in line with what players want/expect:
I will briefly say that we agree that too many items drop and we have plans to eventually reduce the rate that players see items, while also taking measures to improve the general quality of items you do see. The end result should be fewer items that are better instead of tons of items you don’t want.
So, how about this: just create some non-AH servers already! I think this was a pre-release idea that didn't make it to launch, but it needs to come back. Make non-AH servers, and give those servers (only) the increased drop rates/rolls. Leave AH-based servers up for those who want that feature, but keep drop rates/rolls the same as they are now on those servers, since players have so much more "access" to gear via the AH anyway. Wouldn't this make everyone happy?
By the way, I know that the RMAH is the real purpose of the AH, and I understand that my solution is very unlikely to be implemented for that reason. But, really, wouldn't it be much better for the game and its players?
What comment were you reading!?!?! He was saying there are too many items that drop when you kill stuff. I kill elite packs and at least 2 rares drop every time, sometimes 4 and 5. Its crazy! Meanwhile 99.99% are completely worthless! Meanwhile I am spending way too much time going back to town and identifying garbage. I am honestly considering just ignoring most rares...
No one forces you to use the AH! If you don't want it to be there, then dont use it. Problem solved! If you are unable to control yourself and find you must use it even though you dont want to, then that sounds like a personal problem.
Why do people bitch about the RMAH? Its stupidly obvious that money for gold transaction would occur with or without it in the game. Hell they already do, and it still exists FFS!
So I just finished reading that last blue post and I can't help notice that the devs tend to use the terms, "Plan to", "trying", "should be", "need to do more to improve", and none that say we are actually working on....This is a rage post and I just wanted to say something =).....along the lines of stop fucking around blizzard and get your shit together, there are plenty of ideas that can improve this game, some of them are very simple. For starters, take your team that worked on the console version and take them in to improve the PC/Mac version. At the rate these patches come in your players get tired and bored of the simple one sided ideas that you implement.
tl;dr Blizz get your shit together, stop brainstorming ideas and actually make some =) /ragequit.
They have to pick their words very carefully.
The players are so terrible, such horrid little shits, that they will dissect and scrutinize every little bit of any blue post. They don't want to mislead anyone. You don't really think it wise for them to make specific promises and practice 100% transparency, do you? Have you seen how horrible the community is?
Typing "ragequit" at the end of a post tells me, you're one of the ones they're being careful to not mislead.
The fans and customers have spoken, they have spoken before release, during beta, after release and even now but blizzard just won't listen. They're going to stick to what makes them money, once they realize they start losing customer base they give the fans a little bit of what they want to keep them hanging on and then it's back to business.
I'm sure all the improvements they've made so far haven't been directed to player concerns. I'm sure the newest blue post by one of the devs regarding itemization and the AH has nothing to do with what players are concerned about and was pulled straight out of his ass.
In the wise words of Bashiok:
aren't you thankful?
^^ and this is exactly what I'm referring to in my above post. This toxic drivel "aren't you thankful" that the more immature crowd continues to throw in Blizzs face, a comment that has been taken severely out of context, has become the battle cry of the stupid and immature community.

Skorn is the only viable two hander in the same way that act 3 is the only good farming act. They are just the best options if you are looking for two handers/farming. Thats like saying the only 1 hander worth getting in D2 was BotD runeword.
Your suggestion isn't too hard to ask for except... there are proven routes in act 2 already that are efficient to farm. Act 1 has some good areas. How close do they need to be to eachother? Exactly the same? Whatever the case may be Blizzard has already made a few comments on monster density in 1,2, and 4 already so those acts could be changing. Try waiting.. you can probably do other stuff while you are waiting.
I was just here to QQ guys, try and get some opinions from people and express mine.
Some stuff said i deff liked and some i thought were too much blizz fanboy shit. Thx for letting me speal, thats why i love the forums =)

Sometimes I feel sorry for Blizzard, which is unusual for my feelings about a corporation. I mean, they're one of the better developers. No matter whether you agree or disagree with the direction they take the game, they at least TRY and make it game first, they support things past the first 6 months without asking for more money (as opposed to companies that pump out 4 to 5 DLCs, including one that comes out on release day containing very near vital information for the story, and pop out maybe two patches), and they generally keep to consumer friendly business models (sure, there are some iffy things here and there, but they aren't dumping in BS stuff like EA).
But then people come along and say Blizz doesn't listen to the fans, immediately after one of the actual developers (not a CM or PR "dev") talks about their plans, specifically in relation to suggestions. Or they call the game a cash grab, and then go and happily purchase up the next Madden or CoD every year. Or they get butthurt that they had trouble playing on release night due to serve issues, and go and review bomb metacritic and amazon. Or they act like they deserve a refund after playing 100+ hours, and get touchy when people disagree.
I'm not saying Blizz is perfect, but man do they have some terrible forum users. It's almost like the forum equivalent of a MOBA game.
I was just here to QQ guys, try and get some opinions from people and express mine.

I just want to point out that saying things "are too much blizz fanboy shit" only hurts you. A) it makes you less likely to actually listen to evidence (cause you assume it's just some fanboy shit) and B: people start treating you like a whiny mouth breather cause you ignore points because of a personal prejudice. I'm not saying that there aren't some Blizzard fanboys who would gladly buy a box of shit stamped with their name on it. But writing off all their arguments cause they are fanboys just moves you closer to the opposite camp, who says everything Blizzard does is terrible now, and they were perfect a decade ago (while buying all their games).
I've never seen a game where players complain and moan about the game so much yet so spend so much time on the game. If the game is so bad, why are they spending so much time on it. I don't get it. D3 is a great game. No, not perfect and there's room for improvement but the tone of some of the ridiculous complaints get tiring.
This is just of the top of my mind AH fix. Why not just make it like WoW, sending mail and asking for an XXX amount to get the item in it. This way there will be less scams, and AH will be primarily just for exchanging with someone, not trying to make tons of gold.
Jaetch pretty much nailed most of it. People's ranting at times really baffles me. TheDFO also, made the point I was going to make once I got through these posts. Blizzard supports their games far better than most developers, the updates they have made to a game you paid for ONCE, is above and beyond if you look at the gaming community as a whole. Most people would either crank out DLC that they would charge everyone for, or just wait till an expansion.
I think people forget how lucky we are as a player base to have a forum, and opportunity to create change in a game we all clearly are passionate about (whether it is rage or joy). This isn't an MMO, we aren't paying a monthly fee for updates, and content buffs/adjustments. I'm not saying we have to be happy with it all, but I think it's great we even get the chance to voice our thoughts, and push changes within this community.
You miss the point of what I was saying, and are clearly trolling. It's been addressed that they feel like it's an issue, even in some of the recent posts they talk about the AH and the issues it can create. End of the day it's your choice whether you use it or not. The game is what you make of it. If you don't like it, find something you do enjoy to spend your time on. Seems like a simple solution to me.
Constructive answer though. Thanks for bringing something to this conversation.
I wish they would un-nerf Pony Land. Does anyone even go there anymore?
Nope, and it was Blizzard's intention. The Cow Level was an Easter egg, referencing another Easter egg from Diablo 1 that most people didn't even know - unfortunately, for many people the Cow Level turned into a cash cow, yielding lots of items for little effort. As a developer, it's kind of sad when people neglect the entire game and just visit a small area of your game which doesn't even have to do anything with the original story.
The pony level was a nice satire to reference the reference of the reference of an Easter egg, but also end this story once and for all and bring players back to the original game.
Lets imagine for a moment Blizzard become more transparent and lets the players know exactly what they are working on...
Blizzard: Hey guys we're working on implementing 'awesome feature X/guaranteed itemisation fix Y' in Diablo 3 Players: Awesome, can't wait!
3 months later still no word on 'awesome feature X/guaranteed itemisation fix Y'
Players: Hey Blizzard, where is 'awesome feature X/guaranteed itemisation fix Y'? Blizzard: During testing we encountered some fundamental issues with implementing 'awesome feature X/guaranteed itemisation fix Y' so it has been put on hold indefinitely. Players: But you promised! I'm gonna sue you! I demand a refund! <employee name> is a ****tard! I'll come round you house and murder your cat! I'm gonna set the CIA on you!
As others have said the vocal minority of the D3 playerbase is appalling, if people want transparency they need to be able to deal with features that are being worked on getting dropped/delayed without acting like spoiled children, at the moment Blizzard gain nothing by pre-announcing features/fixes until they are 100% certain they will be in the game.
Transparency works well for small indie developers where there is a small loyal following for the game, it doesn't work so well when you have a large company and a large playerbase, some of who will use any excuse to hurl insults and twist the words of company representatives.
The main issue is that the AH makes items much more readily available than P2P trading, so people spend gold/money in the AH/RMAH to buy nearly BiS items, then wonder why they aren't finding any upgrades, thus completely missing the 'reward' part of the games.
The AH discussion has been going on since it was announced, and will continue for long,
but to me it's pretty simple, don't like it? don't use it...
Imo it's just a place where i can sell stuff more easily,
would ppl prefer to be spamming trade all day WTS x item or WTT x for y.
The AH didn't break the game since it can be completly ignored.
i personally hate doing act3 farm runs like crazy, i play from act 1 till act 4 since 1.0.7 and i have fun, i'm lvl 82 paragon, granted i could be 100 if i just ran act 3, but that's boring, and i play to have fun.
Instead of ranting about the same things over and over while they are already being fixed in a future patch, how about we suggest new stuff? like a tower defense type survival mode, or an infinite dungeon, incentives to kill the final act bosses, you know stuff to HAVE FUN.

BIS items costs 100s of million if not billions of gold. Most people aren't buying these from the AH... so your point is mute.
If you choose to believe that the game was not designed around it.
If you choose to believe that it was (at least this version of it, which is being slowly, slowly, slowly changed to a system that was what people expected) than the AH is a bad thing.
