Hey guys I was wondering something. Is it possible for items to have any stat combination possible? Or are there certain limitations? For example, the maximum value for primary stats on a 1-hander is 350. So if it possible for a sword to roll stats with 350 to int, dex, str and vit on the same item itself? Or are there limits to the maximum number of primary stats that can appear on any item.

Um, no. It doesn't quite work that way. Only the very first stat can roll up to the maximum. The ones that follow are capped. This applies only to ordinary blues and yellows. Legendaries have their own roll mechanics.
The way I understand it, it should theoretically be possible to roll two 350 stats on weapons:
E. g. 200 Str., 200 Vit (different single stat can be rolled multiple times) and a 2 stat affix with 150 Str., 150 Vit. Theoretically you should be able to get 350 Str, 350 Vit, 200 Dex, 200 Int.
I had used that site to obtain the numbers I originally mentioned. I just wanted to know if it was possible to roll 6 max stats for a six-stat armor or weapon.

Some of it depends on how you think of "max". Do you mean max for that affix or max as in the most you could possibly have?
Like the above poster mentioned, on gear, the most you can possibly have is 300 for armor but that is actually getting two affixes to line up as max; the main stat and a secondary split stat. It is possible to have all four main stats at 200 which is max rolls for those affixes.
I don't know if a 6 affix could roll this for instace:
Str 16 perfect 200
Int 16 perfect 200
Dex 16 perfect 200
Vit perfect 200
Str+Vit perfect 100+100
Int+Dex perfect 100+100
If you can get both secondary split stats on one item (and I don't see why you couldn't), then you could have 300 on all four. The odds of that are...beyond astronomical. Also, this wouldn't really even be the best gear you could find. You don't get enough from your non-primary stats for this to be "the ultimate" drop.
With max rolls on six affixes, I would think that you would be better off with something like:
Your main stat
Vit
Main stat+vit
all res
_______________
Then it would depend on what other stats can roll on that slot
Socket
Crit chance
Crit damage
IAS
LoH
LL
Life on Spirit Spent
MF
Movement Speed
etc etc
Ah, ty for the clarification on the split stat and how that works.
Edit:
Just for total clarity, you can only roll one main stat, multiple secondary and one STAT. So what you are seeing is:
MainStat-----------------------------------------------------------------200 (max)
STAT (get lucky and main stat is one of the two)-------------100 + 100
Secondary---------------------------------------------------------------100
Secondary---------------------------------------------------------------100
Secondary---------------------------------------------------------------100
So for maybe str
200 str
100 str + 100 vit
100 vit
100 int
100 dex
And on the tool tip it would look like
300 str
200 vit
100 int
100 dex
Can you clarify that last part? Amulet, offhand and weapon can roll primary stat twice?
I did just see a difference that I didn't recognize before. STAT can be a primary or a secondary. In our original example with the armor, that is StatSecondary that is rolling.
For Amulet, offhand, weapon, you can get say StrPrimary and you can also roll StatPrimary?
So you could have like
Str------------------------------------------200
StatPrimary------------------------150+150
VitSecondary----------------------------100
So
Str 350
Vit 250
Seems like I may still be misunderstanding these some.
And for 2 handers, how does that modify? I have seen some with 400+ of a stat. I realize with the 1.04 changes, this may not be fully modeled out yet.
Wow, that cleared it up and I had no idea. I knew that some slots could have big str but never realized that the primary stat was different on different armors.
The weapons can roll any of the stats from the primary pools. They can also roll more than 1 on the same item, correct?
