I'm having trouble "enjoying" the game now.
I beat Diablo in inferno on DH and Monk, don't have the motivation to do it on the other classes (might get it rushed somehow).
I beat Hell mode in Hardcore, starting inferno but I'm scared of losing my char now, I've only leveled one char in HC and really don't want to lose it, so I don't know if I'm going to spend time progressing in inferno.
I'm not enjoying the item farming much because I find the rewards to be pretty poor and I get out-farmed by ppl in full GF gear rushing nightmare mode and that's really not my kind of playstyle.
Before 1.0.3 I was farming act 3 and Pony level. It was tough but still worth it and I had the impression of challenge while farming, I had to play at my best to get the best out of my farm. Now with my stuff, if I go farm those levels I actually lose gold so it's not worth doing anymore, so I chain run act1 which I faceroll so it's just not fun anymore, and doing more challenging content is not worth it repair wise as a solo DH.
So I'm just not farming anymore, I'm sitting on 20 mil right now which is less and less every day that passes because of gold farming bots that Blizzard don't care at all to ban.
So yeah right now I won't say that I'm "enjoying" the game like I was in the first month or so. I'm going to keep playing until the PvP patch and if it happens to be poorly exectued I'll just drop the game. Which is a real shame because it had so much potential.
You bet your ass I am still enjoying it. I only have one lvl 60 currently in act 3 inferno and a lvl 51 Monk in act 1 hell so I am nowhere near done. Maybe you need to try different ways of playing. For instance, on my Monk I have not purchased a single piece of gear from the AH, only use what I find on her or by using my main so it is exciting every time a rare drops and seeing if it is an upgrade.
Does this seem a more accurate portrayal of the communities reviews on the website than the current 3.9?
The problem is the numbers aren't accurate. Far more people come to complain about something than to praise it. Ask anyone who works in customer service how many complaints they get a day compared to just actual work. When people are happy with a product they're content. They use it, and go about their day. When people are angry they line up in masses to complain. When that happens the people who champion the opposite side of the cause, the fanboys, come in to make counter reviews. That's why all of the reviews and scores are skewed.
I would say that 6000 is a large enough sample size to at least get a approximate pulse of how people feel about the game.
6000 is a large sample size? that's well under 0.08% of the player base. This idea also doesn't account for a large number of factors. For example, the whining children who think they're entitled to something are far more likely to run to forums and review sites to try and "get even" by crying while the people who like or love the game are busy playing instead of trying to get to make sure the world hears their woes.

And that's specially true for highly expected and hyped products/movies/games/etc people just imagine something in their minds and if there's one little bit of it that doesn't match their expectations, they tend to go waaaay overboard with it, saying how bad the product is. Quite sad human behaviour imo.
In no way am I saying this game isn't worth 60$. I got a good 170 fun hours of play out of it--well worth 60$! What I will say, and maybe some of you will agree to this, but this game did not live up to the expectations for a Diablo franchise entry. Diablo II had, in my estimation ~6 years of replay valuable. Diablo III, in its current form, has maybe a few months of reply value?
I think this says more about you than about D3 (or D2).
Myself, my memory is fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure I enjoyed D3 a lot more than D2 (D1 still holds a special place though : ), and I sure as shit enjoyed the 'progression' all the way to max level, and beyond, in D3, compared to D2, which didn't give me any reason to keep playing.
about to hit 60 with the Wizard and finish off having 1 of each at 60... not full cleared Inferno, DH is stuck on Azmo and Monk on Ghom..barb i am not good with so still act 2 lol, and the WD is resting at Azmo as well...
I am well past 300 hrs (working from home has its perks), and yes i still enjoy that game...course i only see it as a game and nothing more...
It's been out for about 2 months, let's say roughly 2*30*24 = 1440 hours ago. So if you play 200 hours that's 14% of your time playing. But remember that you need say, 8 hours sleep - plus eating and pooping but let's just roll that into the 8 hours and assume you don't sleep a full 8 - so subtract off 480 hours so really the game launched about 960 waking hours ago. So that's 21% of your waking hours.
You'd kind of HOPE that you'd be finished with a game if you devoted 20% of your life to it for two months. It's not an MMO after all.
Those of you with 400 hours, that's obviously 42% of your waking hours, and so on.
I hate these "what other game will give you 200+ hours of entertainment" arguments, i don't like the diablo franchise because of some abitrary number of gamplay hours it may or may not offer, i play diablo because it's supposed to offer almost an infinite amount of gameplay hours without boring me off. That's what diablo 2 has given me, and i expect no less 11 years later from a sequel

Working with adobe and/or java is like pushing a paper clip against a building and expecting it to move...
Smth around 300+hrs played on all my toons. Only 1 level 60 in Act 2 (mostly farming act 1) and I still enjoy the game like on the first day. Im neither super rich nor superior geared and still dying alot. But I have 0 problems with this since it's the challange I was seeking for quite a while.
And until you not have beaten HC Inferno you shouldn't even consider this game to be not worth spending 1 more hr to play. It's a matter of fact that you didn't experienced everything this game offers (and with HC this game starts tbh --> Barb level 35 here )
Hell yea!
I've been waiting for a new Dungeon Crawler for some time now.
For those that may ask "why?"
It's a dungeon crawler.
I don't expect it to be an MMO. I wouldn't crucify Call of Duty or Portal because it wasn't turn based like Civilization. Ergo why I don't expect a Dungeon Crawler like D3 to play like World of Warcraft.
Is everyone else forgetting that while we all loved D2, where were we in our lives that allowed us to play D2 for 6+ years? I know I was about 18 years old and had plenty of free time to sit around in my parents basement until god knows when playing video games. If i am playing D3 6 years from now religiously...my god. Let's be honest here, most of the players that are coming back and fondly remembering D2 are remembering a different game. Go play it now. It's still fun, but it's chock full of things that make it a pain in the arse to play and/or ridiculous (I'm looking at the Sorcs that port around to farm items), and guess what? There is no room for possible improvement. D3 can and will improve though. D2 reminds us all of a lot better times, better economy, we were all younger, we hadn't seen an MMO yet so there was no "OMG this world is massive and non linear!" to distract us, hell at the time, there really was no better game to play besides maybe WC 2-3 or Quake. My point is that quit looking at D2 with rose colored glasses. D3 isnt perfect, but it can be fun if you dont kill it.
180h and bored by this auction house simulator..... My barbarian is immortal, just plain OP! Waiting for new and exciting content or deleting the game from HD!

Final Fantasy 7
