I agree with a lot of what you're saying, but why use Windforce as the example d2 item when you're talking about how useful some lower level items were?
By the way I LOVE how you never actually mention WoW but as you talk through the standardize item system you pretty much show WoW content as a remark that people need to accept that Blizzard has adopted many systems from WoW into Diablo, most notably, the itemization standardization.

I agree with some of the things you say here, but one thing that is absolutely not true is "Only 1 of the 3 main stats is useful for any single class". They're all useful, it's just that the main stat is more useful, which is totally acceptable.
About legendaries not being as powerful as blues and rares: This isn't necessarily true, it just means that you haven't rolled one with increased damage.

But they're really not useful. Strength for example just provides a tiny bit of armor, something that no Demon Hunter would ever look for.

This is not true, every class needs more armor in Inferno difficulty. It may not be a stat that you seek out in the AH, but it's still very useful to have. That's why some of the best items in the game come with all 4 stats - Str, Dex, Int, and Vit and hopefully a + to Armor

The amount of armor provided by strength is relatively miniscule. It's a wasted stat for classes other than Barbs.

I mentioned WoW like 5 times in that video.
you kept showing wow gear and the wow logo but you kept talking about diablo letting the wow visuals do the comparison

6m people playing and not a single legendary has ever been found to not be trumped by a FREAKING BLUE

Who said that good legendaries went to the auction house and the guy that found it didnt keep it?
I just hope that they can roll out a sort of overhaul to the way the loot system is generating the items. Legendaries(uniques) eventually get out classed at the lower levels by a higher level item at times but at max level it's gotta be a damned good roll of a rare to take it out.
Biggest thing I miss are the sets for the lower level. Who remembers in D2 seeing a character at the bottom of the screen in bright silver and thinking "I want that!" What was it, Sigurd's something or other I think? Those types for the lower levels would be nice.

Ridiculous claim. Obviously you are only looking at dps. Perfect legendaries have not been found yet, or have not been on the AH yet. Let the game grow...
Edit- check the AH now. Legendary warmonger - 1150 dps to go along with its great stats that no blue has. And that legendary still isn't perfect.
You're really comparing D3 to D2, and on stats and itemization?
D3 stats - All on the items, instead of needlessly clicking a button 450 times to get some stats, you switch you stats based on what gear you are using.
D2 stats - JUST enough strength to wear the heaviest armor you plan on wearing, and the rest into vita. Every time. Boring.
D3 items - Even a really well rolled blue has a chance to be viable, if you are just looking for 1-2 stats. Legendaries, just like rares, have to roll good stats to be viable, and since the games only been out 2 weeks thousands of times more rares have dropped than legendaries, meaning nice ones have dropped. In the end you can use some legendaries, some rares and maybe some sets and be damn good.
D2 items - There was only 1 item to use in each slot, for your class. Any other item and you weren't near as powerful. Also boring.
Why the hell do people keep thinking D2's systems were better? They weren't!

Well put, that's the way I see it as well. I feel there are some problems with D3's gear but it's much better than D2.
My problem is that there are a few affixes that seem mandatory in order to be powerful, maybe that changes a bit at higher levels though, I'm only in Nightmare lvl 43 (I'm an achievement whore, I played 40 hours on Normal alone).
So it's KIND OF like D2, where you NEEDED that one super Unique that EVERY other Sorc needed, except in D3 everyone NEEDS +dmg and +aps on rings/amulets (at least if you want the best ones, or am I completely wrong? Could be...).
2H seems to be lacking vs DW also, at least for Monks since you need a passive to have your SPR generation keep up with DW (+25% SPR generation when using 2H). +DMG and +APS also scales way better with 1H weapons, which is hurting 2H weapon choices.
I think 1 thing to consider is that this game is fresh and D2 has had many patches and also an expansion. D3 won't look so similar in a year or 2 from now. When games are this large in scope, it usually takes some time post launch to get things better.

I already can't play D3 for more than an hour before I feel like it's so pointless.
I've posted it here: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5149542059?page=1#3
