Here's your 2 monitors, You'll have to excuse my war room (okay, its a guest bedroom but thats not fun to say), its a bit of a wreck.
Nice Horde sticker ;P I did the same thing with my current computer, may have to get another for the new one.
Haha yeah, I made that at work one day when I had some down time. I think I'll draw out something cool and diablo themed for my next case and do it flat black on black or something.
I am as well, but I'm going all out (well actually about 85% out).
Just ordered a Dell Ultrasharp 30" Monitor, pretty excited for it to get here wednesday so I can see the beta at 2560x1600.
On the 12th I plan to order my new pc.
Asus Rampage Formula x79 or z68 equivalent
Intel i7-3820 or 3930k or I might go with a 2700k - still mulling it over
Cooler Master Cosmos II Case
Corsair H100 Cpu Cooler
2 EVGA GTX 570 2560MB in SLI
16 gb of DDR 1600, either gskill or corsair
850 watt PSU, either coolermaster or corsair
With the current sandy bridge processors being such beats, sandy bridge-e just coming out, and Ivy Bridge on the horizon it's a hard time to make a decision.
Little overkill don't you think?
Compeletly for D3, I'm also a graphic artist an also play other games that are pretty demanding, like BF3. So it won't just be for show. Plus I haven't upgraded in a while, still using a i7 920 system i built in 2009 with a gtx 280, so im pretty behind the curve.
Hm, I see now. The one im getting apparently plays BF3, though I have my doubts about that. If it did it would be on low. The only PC games i will play are Blizzard games and maybe The Witcher games.
Im sure you'll be able to play it, how high you can turn your settings up is really gonna depend on the resolution your monitor is.
lol u guys got some rly good configurations there , i cant afford upgr at all atm and i never had chance to win a beta key so i am rly wondering if i can run the game on mid-high settings not ultra , would love some opinion if u are able ,here is the main config:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93Ghz
Mem: 3 GB DDR3 800MHz
GPU: Asus GT430 1GB
There is no ultra setting, and the game should run just fine with that setup on at the very least medium, probably at max settings aswell.
I have a 3½ year old computer (was high end when I bought it) and it runs the beta on the highest settings without problems
This is my spec:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3,16 GHz
GeIl 4096 MB DDR-II PC6400 Black Dragon Kit (aka 4 GB DDR2 800 MHz)
I had an 9800x, but it died a few months back. Switched it with a similar model i got for free from a friend who was throwing it away anyway, so:
Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS 512 MB
I don't plan on upgrading my system for diablo 3 since it already runs it at maximum settings. But I know that its components are bound to die soon. The graphics card already did, so it's just a matter of time. When that happens I will be upgrading, but hopefully I'll get another ½-1 year out of it and by then I'm sure Ivy is out
If i can't get smooth gameplay with everything on low with my 8600gtm, which I could before patch 13, then I might look into getting a new laptop. And probably something good enough to play GW2 on max, or close.
I did... at the end of 2008. I figured the game would have been out at the end of 2009 early 2010 at the latest. I normally build a new pc every 4 years, so soon I'll be building a new pc, also for D3.
I just purchased my new desktop with an intel i3 2120, 8gb ram, 500gb hard drive, with a 1gb radeon hd 6670. Not the greatest computer but should be able to run on medium for now. Since I am in college and on a rather tight budget I plan on using this as a starting point and upgrading it as I go. Along the way I will most likely end up replacing most of the main parts of the computer and just basically have a complete second computer over time that I will most likely either give to my girlfriend or sell.

I swear I am the only person who has never had an Intel processer.

What is this thing called "real life?" Is that some sort of expansion pack?
built my first pc from scratch with a friend for D3 woot!
nothing fancy, as i had a pretty tight budget, but i'll do the job...hopefully.
the only thing i'm a tad worried about is the integrated graphics card. guess i'll wait and see.
Operating System:
Windows 2.6.1.7601 (Service Pack 1)
CPU Type:
AMD A8-3850 APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics
CPU Speed:
2.92 GHz
System Memory:
7.48 GB
Video Card Model:
SUMO 9640
I built a new PC just to mess around with for overclocking and it's going to be my D3 PC. The specs are in my sig. Went with the 570 as a temporary solution (waiting for the next gen nVidia GPU's).
My old PC was more than ready to run D3 anyways and I've already tested the beta on it with no problems on High settings across the board. That PC:
Intel i7920 OC'd to 4.1 ghz w/ a Coolermaster V8 thermal solution, 12GB DDR 1600 Ram, twin 500GB WD HD's, GTX 295, Asus ROG Rampage II Mobo, all in an Antec 1200 tower.
The girlfriend gets to play on that one.... she'll be playing D3 on 55 inches of madness hooked up to the surround sound... I'd be jealous if I average load times on this PC were'nt less than a second.

2x 5850
12 gig ram
sdd
the important stuff, rest is also good but less awsome
plays everything out still on max
so I'm holding onto my HD4850 for at least a while.
i5 2400 (I dont OC so no 2500k)
GTX 460 1GB (an older upgrade)
6 GB RAM
nothing fancy, as i had a pretty tight budget, but i'll do the job...hopefully.

Currently what I've decided on is
An Intel I5 for CPU
Radeon HD6850
8gigs of RAM
and a 64G SSD
still need to decide on what to use for my mainboard and harddrive
..This would all be much easier if I had any knowledge on computer parts whatsoever
