Now that runes are introduced as skills, i think there will be no free respect in inferno dificulty. On normal to hell you will experiment with skills and runes, and choose them for inferno. Because all skills are viable (depending from item that you have), you will not need to respect in inferno.I'm almost 100% sure that there will not be free respect for inferno, because having it will break the balance of the game (game will be balanced for respecting skills, so if you dont respect and use the skill most suitable for that situation, it will be much harder,or it will be balanced for not respecting, so if you respect, the game will become to easy), so there will be reasons for creating different builds for inferno of the same class.
What are you talking about?
You can jump between skills/passives as you wish hehe.
There will be items that buff specific skills as well, so people will have to pick a build or it will become quite expensive if you want to juggle from build to build and still be effective.

Where exactly to people get these "everyone played for 10 years purely rerolling" ideas from? This is a game, it generates money, that fuels development into the game and/or other games. If the game was as hardcore as some people want few would play it. I'm sorry, but if you have only played D2 simply grinding for gear for that many years you really need to get out more. Theres more to life and more to gaming. If you want more slots, then buy a second game. If you want to reroll then just do it. Stop whining like a bunch of babies for something that was never going to happen. These are the same arguments over and over again in different threads and its getting really old.
Bottom line; If you like to play a certain way, fair enough, just don't be so up yourself to expect everyone else to want to play the same way. If the game was like D2 it probably wouldn't even get made and if it did the lack of revenue would severely limit further development. Your just shooting yourselves in the foot.
Do you know what? I'm really starting to wish some people on this forum had to re-roll whenever they made a mistake IRL! Commitment people commitment! Change is so unfashionable. Why some people on this site don't have only a few posts and 50 accounts if they like re-rolling so much is beyond me. Want to change your sig, forget it, just reroll! Want to change your photo, forget it, just reroll! Want to edit your post, forget it! Just reroll!
Some people need to reroll their brain.
Troll.
Reported.
He isn't a troll in fact I agree 100%. Actually I just want to add, that if you spent even 6 hours of the time you wasted playing diablo 2 over the past 10 years to work, then you could have bought yourself a 2nd copy!
it seems ive figured it out. these people WANT to be forced into re rolling characters. they think if its only an option then it doesnt feel as fulfilling and that they merely wasted time releveling a class they already have. i can kind of see their point. but not many ppl liked re rolling because they HAD to. this way everyone has the choice. more choices is good
Yah its sort of like those guys who get their jollys off by being beaten, they want blizz to be their dominatrix. Punish me blizz, Punish me!!! OHH yah I've been a very bad boy, Ill reroll that toon.

One is never hurt by being given additional choices, only by taking them away. A QUADRILLION MAGIC FIND is worthless if you can't kill shit!
I don't understand that kind of thinking. if you really want to play like in D2, feel free to make a build which you will not change and create a new character to get a new build. Even though the game lets people change skills, it is not mandatory. You can play the way you want to play.
If what's fun for you is creating new characters to try out new builds as low-level with the same character, then go ahead and create a 2nd character of the same class. Nothing is forbidding you from doing it.

"No one will remember if the game is late, only if it's great" ~Jay Wilson
People replay games with ZERO character customization. I don't think I'm going to avoid replaying a certain character in this game just because the experience could technically overlap the one I've already had, although I can make an effort to ensure that it doesn't.

You know games are defined by rules so your statement is retarded, that works with every rule from every game or anything. Of course games punish you because that`s the point of the word game, choices and consequences.
How can you defend D3 really you know this game has a level cap of 60 ? Blizz is punishing you with level cap !!! also Blizz is punishing you by choosing a class before joining a game !!!!
By the way this fansite is punishing you to register an account if you want to post omfg the horror, lack of logic fails you all the time jaclashflash as i have seen in last posts.
You and logic are not friends, you are not even remote acquaintances.
What is punishment is subjective, to those conditioned to enjoy a scenario considered a punishment the consequence is obviously something they enjoy and so hardly a punishment. When you view what someone writes they define the meanings of the spirit of their message not you, if you fail at comprehension ask for clarification.
But then it seems you prefer to wade into trolling waters by use of semantics, comprehension failure as your vaulting point.
If you don't enjoy something don't do it, use your imagination create your own consequences.
Limiting the playing field of possibility so your idea of what should be the rules stands for everyone is immensely fascist egocentric and petty.

This is not D2. Graphically enhanced versions of old games are a cop-out, FPS games is what your looking for, for this.
All accounts are online, trainers are not available to edit in single player. It is not in the publishers interest to cater to the lunatic fringe it is in fact in their interest to allow as open ended jump in game play as possible in order to facilitate the RMAH keeping the game funded.
To pretend through bi-partisan extreme absolutism that masochism isn't what some of you are conditioned to enjoy is nonsense.

Games are defined by their rules, and by the punishment you get when you break them. Commit a foul inside the 18-yard box? You're punished with a penalty kick. Receive a second yellow card? You get punished with a sending-off. Behave nastily in a rugby match? You get punished by being sin-binned. I could go on and on. What part of this concept don't you understand?
That doesn't mean that the rule is correct, just that you get punished by it until its changed.
So why did the game last more then 10 years if it was not correct ?
There is no correct, there is only stylized elements of design with their freedoms and limitations.
You like closed off unilateral restriction, others prefer more liberty to do as they choose and thankfully those people are the majority that aren't in love with being caged because it's what feels safe to the nostalgic fringe.
There are plenty of games that were extremely popular and successful that contain gameplay elements that have since been removed from newer games because they are no longer considered to be the best way of doing things. I understand that there are strong feelings for the game to be one way or the other, but just because a game does well or people play it, that does not mean that every choice that was made when making the game was the best possible one.
You can jump between skills/passives as you wish hehe.

Someone pointed that our in another thread here.

I was going to play it again but then I realized I couldn't spec differently and get the RPG at the beginning.
Oh wait, no I played it again and just killed everything with a crowbar.
Or Half-life 2: Episode 2 I respecced to garden gnome spec and shot that little bastard into space. That was awesome.

You mean how blizzard patched in a skill/stat reset option so that you no longer had to re-roll if you wanted to do something new or misclicked?
OH LOOK, THE RULE CHANGED!
