These decisions could be even more important than the choice of your gaming rig, reading up on the book of cain, or even the use of one of dem fancy bo-dangled build calculators. I'm talking about the choice of your Diablo 3 gaming snack.
You're gonna need to fuel yourself. Somethings gonna have to tide you over in the wee hours of the morning. How will you survive all of those dinners you missed by accident? Let's face it, a gamer is only as good as his snack. I know my witch doctor and monk will only operate at roughly 75% efficiency without the proper tools to keep me going.
So, forget about release date conspiracy, Korea, your frustration with Bashiok, black soulstone theories or the imminent release of 3 new wallpapers a week.
Let's talk about snacks. Beverages.
What will I have by my side?
If I hearken back to my Diablo 1 & 2 days, the first thing that comes to mind are large bags of Doritos. Spicy Nacho. And of course, copious amounts of Coca Cola Classic.
I assure you, these will be by my side often. However, since the days of windows 98 and XP, my tastes have matured, and my drivers license notifies people I'm over 21.
Alongside coca cola, gin and tonics will represent a strong showing. For midwest crowds, 32 ounces of rooster booster from Quik Trip will also fuel me.
Snacks- Pita and hummus. A delicious, healthy staple.
Pizza Rolls- let's face it, for a frozen food, they're hard to beat.
Cheese- it's my favorite food, what can I say.
Doritos will still be in the line up.
BBQ cheddar cheez-it snack mix. - Simply delicious. I could tear through half a box in one sitting.
I just might add some more thoughts as time progresses. But, I want to hear from you all.
Oh, and by the way, the name is Blake. I got tired of lurking, and couldn't think of a better way to introduce myself.
Well for my first post I would have to say I will be snacking on some crackers cheese and pepperoni, and probably drinking either an adult beverage of some kind or some orange soda
Many a night of Hell Mephisto runs were fueled by Friday's Bacon and Cheddar Potato Skins, I'll certainly have to look into buying a bag or two of those just for the sake of nostalgia. It's been the better part of 7 years since I had a bag but I definately remember them being an acquired taste so I'll prolly have to ease into them again
As for beverages it used to be good old Mountain Dew but I've sworn off soda of any kind for several years now and won't ruin it just for D3, as worthy a reason as it is, so I'll probably end up with a case or 2 of Vitamin Water XXX.
As Far as Beveraes go .... You must stick with the gaming staple - Mounatin Dew!!
As far as snacks go I prefer Cheese, sometimes with crackers .... other times straight off the block.
Though I am a big fan of the Baby Swiss and Colby versions of Cheez-It's.
One side note though .... there is a Burrito place right next to my local Gamestop that has a dude stay open for midnight releases of games selling "survival kits". Boxes with 20 Burrito's!! To get ya through the first day.
Probably a mix between cool ranch Doritos and honey mustard pretzels and some sweet tea that will get me through my first 24 hours well enough. I'll worry about nutrition after the first day XD
Pretzels with mustard? Do you mean like dipping pretzels in mustard? Because that sounds pretty good if they were dipped in a sweet-hot mustard.
Yeah. I just dip them in French's because I don't like most Dijon or sweet-hot mustards. It's a great snack for munching and, in my experience, a little bit goes a long way, especially if you go slowly.
Vanilla coke, in my opinion, is the best soda ever concocted. No, really,

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
I'll be going the hardcore giving 0 fucks about my body for a week binge gaming fest diet
This will include....
Pizza from the pizza place up the street. Some old italian guy owns it, and his sons make ballin' pizza. This is where I will get my nutrition from. I will make sure this bitch has plenty of onions, mushrooms, peppers, and bacon on it to keep me going, along with eating multivitamins.
As for the gaming drink... well... let's not kid around here. I'm going to admit im going to chain drink shots of expresso and energy drinks, mixed with the occasional dose of Ephedrine. This shall allow me to game like a cokehead for about a week. at which point I will sleep for 2 days, wake up and ask what day it is, and probly roflmao at myself when i realized i slept for 48 hours.

shall be my brother..."
I would also heavily invest in some chocolate-covered sunflower seeds. I tried some during Christmas and they were really good. Just a well rounded flavor and the texture made it very... snacky. I can't put it any other way. If you have a strong sweet-tooth, then I'd get some of those.
Trail mix is always good too, especially the kind you can get at Costco. I highly reccomend.

Yeah my wife won't buy junk food anymore except for Tostitos and salsa, so my arsenal for hours of D3 is leaning towards something that won't put me in a sugar coma. I'll have to go with apples and Arnold Palmer's Half & Half Lite!
Great replies everyone. You folks are giving me some wonderful new ideas to try. Speaking of new ideas- let me share one of mine with you.
Lately, I've been taking Frito scoops and dipping them into bags of shredded pepperjack cheese. I must say, for an unhealthy snack, this is pretty kickin' and I think it might just make it into my rotation of D3 snacks.

Why am I getting a Wisconsin vibe here? Sure, you may have mentioned pepperjack instead of cheddar here but still...
I doubt I'll be able to pull any marathon level play streaks that I would have in the single life. So it will probably be a fair amount of coffee, beef sticks or jerky, homemade BBQ chicken or cheeseburger pizza and whisk(e)y!
I haven't actually thought about it, since I pretty much have to know the release date to decide what exactly I'm gonna eat. I'm in university and if the game is released before our classes end on the 23de of March. I'll probably not play all day, I'll wait till the weekend...
