Do you think that they should put a limit to how many post's each user gets.
it would cut the 3500 posts in half
would make it easier for the mods/administrators to look through them
it would make us 'users' pick and decided what post we want to publish
Maybe 1-3 entries? Honestly, I don't know what the maximum number of entries was for this last contest, but it felt like a lot of clutter. It seemed like some people had a brute-force strategy, and I don't think that is really in the spirit of the contest.
It would definitely reduce the amount of submissions this spamtest -- i mean contest will get. Quality will improve as well.
Regardless, ill participate with one submission.
very true bub, im not participating in this one but its because of time.. its sunday i have paperwork to do, and i own my own buisness so 50+ hours a week i dont have much time and the time i do i dont like to be wasted. im hoping to see this implemented in the future contests though..
its not like people cant save all 50 pictures they make in a folder on there desktop and pick there best one they personally think.
They don't seem to mind going through 3500 posts. However, for the sake of simplicity, it'd be great if people would stick to 1 post, and then edit it. I think it's great that they allow several submissions, so you don't _have_ to choose between good ideas.
So, my answer is; No.
save them in a folder on your desktop...
you or you and your family/friends go through the pictures and pick your top 3 and post them. no need to post all 50 pieces of crap. For example, your last contest entry could have been deleted. im sure you had better ones that didnt cover the whole image.. there is a reason for the saying

No, cause I have no idea where people are getting the idea it was hard to look. As long as you stay with it every day... its not that hard to look at pictures.
As long as all your submissions are kept in one post, it shouldn't matter how many you decide to submit. I only find it a little unnecessary to use three posts for one submissions with two alterations.
I myself prefer one or perhaps, if you really can't decide, two submissions. But if the crew doesn't mind scrolling through 3-10 submissions per person, I don't see why it should bother anyone else, even if they're of low quality (in your opinion).
haha got me a debater finally. very good argument you have there. i would have to say i agree with it. im not saying there low quality to me but this last contest i posted i believe 4 posts might have been 5. i can think of at least 2 that i would delete right now just because at the time to me i thought it was funny but as i made more i had better ideas. so instead of posting all the ideas we get, we take what we consider our best and submit it.. think of it like a art contest, you spend hours (a week) making this piece of art and then when you think its perfect and finished in your mind, you publish it.
it would make people get more in to the contest, instead of just spamming
it would cut back on clutter so us 'fans' can actually go through the published art and enjoy it
and it just seems more fair all around, instead of just 'Whirwinding' your way through if i may.

possibly from your guys own statement saying that it was going to take a while to go through all the posts...
or did i misread that too?
Putting a limit to the amount of submissions per person would, in general, increase quality, no doubt about that. On the other side however, it would also cause some people to register several accounts just so they can submit all their ideas.
that is very true.. but isnt that good for the owner/owners of this website? im not 100% sure how this works but the more users on the site the better it is i would imagine, even if there multiple accs to the same person..
but on the other hand that would just take used up acc names.. maybe add a acc hibernation mode, or something along those lines.. where it would put the acc to sleep or delete it after so many days of inactivity
I take it back, this already sounds way overcomplicated.
how so? as of now there is hardly any rules set. its almost like this was a last minute idea that there group didn't think about at first.. if i was a lesser man i would start saving and posting every picture that gets post.. its not against the rules. ill just have 300+ pictures all in one post. why because its aloud.
its rather simple. set the rules, anyone that breaks them is disqualified.
lets make it even easyer on them, dont change the rules again during the second contest!
wait till the third one to put the changes into effect so you dont throw anyone off or make them mad because you added rules again during the competition.
that gives you a week to work on some better "guidelines"

Yeah... or, simply keep submissions limitless, and perhaps politely ask people to keep their submissions to one post :P.
yes i actually like that one.. you my friend need this post voted up..
glad the debate has been allowed to continue on and it seems to be making progress. : )

i guess i just asumed you guys are like a unit..
you know like, one speeks for all.. my bad wont do that again. i will for now on question all moderators to find out the average answer
