The idea that my douchebaggy friends that have never played Diablo and will act so cool and hipster for having it on the console pisses me the fuck off. Keep it PC exclusive. I don't want my faggot shit retard CoD buddies getting their fucktard hands on Diablo. This shit is for me and me only. I want to feel special. Fuck you Blizzard.

You know you are surrounded by children when you walk into a discussion wherein everyone is bitching about the fact that someone is bitching.
Guess what guys. I don't like people who don't like people who don't like people. I guess we're all hypocrites. Now stfu.
Back on point, I think development into Diablo III for PC is too far along for a console port project to hinder or change it in any way. I could be wrong though. Barring that, I wouldn't mind seeing a console port.
like take the time to find/buy mouse and keyboard O_O?
More like take the time to hook it up to their game console and bother using it aside from their controller which they are aware is perfectly meant for their console. Most console people are also not computer gamers, so using a control interface that they are not fully familiar with could deter them.
Might aswel change the name of the game while ur @ it,
Just no, regardless if it affects pc release or not, just no diablo for console, EVER, sounds wrong in every way, sayd this countless times, and wil continue to do so.
Dude, a console is used to play games on, just like a computer is. While they are different hardware wise, a game is still a game. This is like saying we have a club full of guys and girls aren't allowed.

>< zomg they'll come in with their makeup compacts and their pinks & pastels. Next thing you know Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto will be hosting tea-parties in Inferno.
Diablo on the PC awesome, I also have a PS3 but do not want a port to that... I played Sacred 2 on the PS3 and these kinda action RPG's are not really that much fun to play with a controller...
If they would make some kind of Diablo for PS3 I hope it will be something a bit more like God of War for the PS3... So not D3 on the PS3 but something entirely different.
I am open to the idea at least...
I recommend you try Dungeon Hunter: Alliance. It's on the Ps3 and i think it's pretty cheap. If you have a buddy to play with then all the better. Check it out.

dude i'm shocked. plugging in a keyboard mouse is no harder than plugging in your controller. Also, in this day and age, i'm surprised that people are not accustomed to using mice and keyboards O_O. (excluding third world countries)

It will not be a true port. It will be re-written from the ground up for the console, albeit PS3, Xbox, or Wii.

The reason people aren't accustomed to just going ahead and plugging them in is, if I remember correctly, it is up to the game developer to add that functionality and support. Say with the Xbox; Microsoft forbade mouse and keyboard support to differentiate it from a PC. With the 360, that rule isn't there anymore. You can use a keyboard to type with MSN and other chat functions, even entering names and passwords, but mouse function isn't there. The task is up to the developer.
From what I gather, Sanguis is trying to say console kids won't use Mouse&Key, simple. A game coming to a console will most likely draw the console crowd. Should the game work as intended, it will be playable with the native controller and there should be no need for the support (a want is different than a need, remember that).
Why no mouse and keyboard? Ask the player, or the dev.

if that's true then i can see how. I only own ps2, the rest are handhelds.
I know that the game should be made to accommodate for controller commands, but even with that said, for a lot of types of games, it's strange, if not stupid to not want to use a mouse. Like... starcraft lol.

Very true. I remember Starcraft 64 and Warcraft 2 for the Playstation. I played both on the computer with a friend who happened to have the two aforementioned consoles, and the difference was night and day. Starcraft wasn't terrible, but I found myself wishing for my mouse. Were I more at home with consoles, I may not have noticed the difference.
I really wouldn't mind seeing Blizzard add that functionality, especially with this sort of game. Granted, it would have to be almost entirely redone to work right. I hope they offer the support, especially if it could improve or offer a more stable way for individual tastes to play.
They're just starting the team that will work on the project, on the question & answer portion of another video, where Josh made a remark about Blizzard still hiring people for the job.

So basically, they are still on the case study phase & now that Beta release is fast approaching, maybe they're now trying how to make the Diablo III content viable for the console platform for it to be a great game.
Most probably they'll make announcement about advancement in the project on BlizzCon 2012, if ever the team that Josh Mosqueria will assemble, ever be successful in their endeavors.
One thing is for sure, if ever Diablo III does make it for the consoles, it will not be as epic & gothic as the pc version, since graphics will turn out to be a little bit more colorful & cartoonish.
Now, if some of you people are really that hot to get your hands on something with a Diablo-like game play, EA Sports is releasing a game for X-Box called Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
This is more like the original Diablo wherein you go on quests, you use mana everytime you're using sustained abilities from skills you pick as you level up.
You play on a huge open world called Amalur that has 5 different geographic regions w/ over 120 hand-crafted dungeons which no two dungeons are alike, you kill the monsters & you can get the loot as well (Gold, gear & items).
You also got merchants like the the blacksmith & the faith weaver.
You start the game with a blank slate, & after the tutorial you'll have to pick your destiny of becoming either a Mage (Sorcerer in Diablo), a Rogue, a Warrior or mix & match skills to become a hybrid of the three (similar to the Spell Book system effect of Diablo I).
Dual-wielding capabilities, with the same basic Diablo I skills of Ice, Lightning & Fire skills to choose from, and not to mention a humongous, dual-wielded Xena-style Chakram.

You'll have stat points you can put into skills (9 skills with over 60 abilities to choose from), then you can go to the faith weaver to re-spec them if you find out that you didn't like where you placed your skill points as you get to the level cap of 40.
