Again from kotaku (great info place).
This looks good, if they can make a proper port and further expand Diablo series that's great. Be even better if we can connect to Bnet 2.0 and play with our existing characters from PC.
Heres prob most important quote out of article: "Today, we're trying to build the best console team at Blizzard," Mosqueira said during a Q&A session. "We're looking for programmers, designers and artists who think their dream job would be to bring Diablo to the console."
Oh my i don't care one bit anymore. They fu**** my favorite game so whatever.
Is this over the Demon Hunter Inferno gear? That's only one set of armor, I expect there to be multiples since those are probably going to be the high end sets.
They have said that they want Diablo 3 to be Diablo 3 on consoles, Im curious of how the controls would work. I really liked a Ps2 game called Champions it was the 2nd one I believe pretty good ARPG. Anyway I think Diablo will feel like diablo and have the same story line as PC Diablo.
I'm "very ver very" serious that Blizzard should stop wasting time with this stupid idea and keep Diablo 3 for PC. All of this extra time being spent on getting a full dev group together just so this game can sit on WalMart shelves and collect dust (as most people will be playing by PC) is a huge waste of everyone including my time. Finish the damn game already It's been long enough.

Yeah.. that's great thinking there kid. But remember, the D3 console dev. team is NOT, I repeat, NOT the same as the PC devs. It's an entirely different and new team. So no time would be wasted at any point, making a console game alongside the PC version. It won't come out sooner or later in terms of this.
Diablo 3 for PC is being developed just as fast as it can be, and ever was.
How would that not delay things? If they are hiring additional people to work on the same game whether its an expansion to console or not that is still time being spent, you are saying they will release the PC game whilst the console game is still under revision? That doesn't make too much sense.

Not surprised this is coming from someone with a LoL gif as their sig. Blizzard is putting together an entirely different team that doesn't affect the current development at all, so how does this waste your time again? You will still see the game the same time as everyone else, and the console development will not hinder that.
If they could integrate the BNet 2.0 cross-platform (like Portal 2's co-op feature, or FFXI on the Playstation but with better controls) then it would be extremely cool. I can see them designing the controls in a similar fashion to Baldur's Gate or something, with ability cycling via a trigger modifier. As long as we don't have that shoddy Starcraft 64 cursor system, it could be a very community-building* experiment.

Go look up "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood for the PC" on Google.
Edit: I'll give you a hint, it was released on PC about 6 months after the console release.

Yes. The console version of the game will not come out at the same time as the computer version. They are focusing on completing the game at the moment. If the were to wait, Diablo 3 would be delayed for at least a year as they are making it for the console from the ground up.
If only they would have been more serious about Starcraft: Ghost. Have to make money somewhere with the people falling off the WoW bandwagon recently.*
The fear of having a game dumbed down to be a port is a very legitimate concern, but I am not worried about it affecting D3 much if at all considering how long it's been in production for the PC. With how the game is set up (with the hotkeys, swapping stuff so easily, etc) it could make the hop.
Playing the same characters from your PC shenanigans would be a blast. I'm only going to watch development closely if they say their next game will be released for consoles alongside the PC.
(*I've loved Blizzard since I was a child and it hasn't changed, so save the flame.)

A little judgmental are we? I realize Blizzard is putting together an entirely different team. Guess what it DOES affect the current developement. They have to be in communication don't they? Don't they have marketing strategies and concepts that need to collaborate? Isn't there time that needs to be spent keeping everyone up to date on everything (with two separate projects going)? I'm sorry but anytime you add an addition to something whether it's an "entirely different team" you are still increasing the downtime for a project as long as they are all under the same company.
Blizzard learned from the Diablo that was released on console before and how successful that was in comparison to the PC version.
I've given my opinion on this and am not babysitting the thread anymore.
TLDR - Console is not a good idea. Keep it PC, keep it true.
I don't really mind if it would be on consoles because it would bring more people to the community. Some people out there are not fortunate enough to have a computer that can run the game but are lucky enough to at least have a game console.
Although I must say, a Keyboard & Mouse give you way more control than a gamepad ever would, so I would imagine anyone playing on the computer would have a advantage over any console user.
However, I wonder how the "always online" factor would affect console users? Would they be able to play offline single player?
Get real, folks, the diablo you all knew is dead, a few years ago i said right here in this forum that D3 had a pretty good chance of being blizzard first bust (i was flamed to death ofc), and what you know, its not even beta and its already looking that way.

Yet you are still showing up here daily and participating in the discussions.

Hopefully it would remain online only, no room for single player import/export hacks/ server intrusion etc.
Yea that is true, but I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't take the time to do so.
