First of all to make a legit business out of selling items on Diablo 3 will take a HUGE investement. Like another poster said they would have to buy dozens of copies of D3 dozens of computers that can run D3 than pay workers to farm items. I don't think the RMAH will be able to support such an investment especially when they are going to be competing with me who will always make my buyout price lower. Besides they will be regionally seperated so even if a few chinese businesses get in they won't be driving the market in the US anyway.
What if blizzard was to check your ip as you enter the realm, kind of like TV channel streaming websites, you know when you try to watch a US network online from Canada it won't let you. Same idea but for diablo, can't enter USeast/USwest unless you have a provider from that continent.
I know you could argue proxies but comeon, those are laggy as fuck and proxying USeast from like china is gonna be laggggy as fuckkk
Are you actually suggesting banning everyone from China that wants to play on the US server? Even if they did that, as ridiculous as it is, how would they control gold farming in China?

Because chinese farmers can't buy dozens of copies and dozens of computers? Do you have any idea the amounts of money they move around? And you really think you'll undercut them? I hate to break it to you, but you're dealing with professionals who've got entire workforces behind them, and who possess way more knowledge about the market than you. They actually got manpower. If Blizzard doesn't stop them (and I don't see how they will), you'll be no match for them, you can rest assured. Ever heard of WoW?
Both of you seem to only care about what happens where you play. Well in that case, I got news for you: the north american server will be the one that is going to be the most plagued with gold farmers and the like.
As long as there's no botting I see no problem with this; if people can get organized or do it solo and in any fashion produce some kind of income from playing lots of D3 and hawking digital hordes of treasure, well I think that's pretty cool. If there's no duping then they have to contend with the same drop rates that the rest of us do. I'm looking forward to playing lots and selling off stuff for a tiny bit of fun money; if people want to do it industrial-strength, all the power to them.

As long as chinese farming stays in china, doesn't bother me.
As far as I've understood, since they are using real money that is unique to geographical region, you can't just "play on another country's server" for legal reasons. Either that or the AH you use is strictly dependent on your location. Or something. Thought I read something to the effect on the 8/1/11 interview about it on the main page. Too lazy to find a quote.

How are Europeans able to play in US servers and vice versa?
They will buy US version of the game because their purpose is to sell to us.
Geo Proxy bots are common, Its not difficult and bots make more money than the electricity bill costs.
By actively engaging players with the option to "Buy Now" you ecourage and consequently increase the amount of players purchasing with currency.
RMT will be bigger now, especially for outsides sources. There you can RMT with real money and get a real money return if you wish. Don't be fooled into thinking it goes away. The RMT market will be massive in comparison to the previous installments, each player will see it. Blizzard just wants a piece of the pie. The only loser here is those that cannot afford it and care about have shiny items. The prestege of those shinies is diminished significantly.
Lookup EVE online, they did the same as blizzard is now.

If blizzard can control this, they are just dedicated players.

It is them that are ruining gameplay for us westerners... Imo blizzard should try and control them.
No, they use actual Chinese people to farm items. What's the point of having people in a workshop if they are just gonna turn on bots.
They are trying, but its hard to control people.

Yeah they hire people, and each of the workers run something like 20 accounts with 20 bots. That's how it works.
