As I suggested to the creator of that awesome EHP calculator, shove a donate button on the side of the page or something. Many users, including myself, are more than happy to donate to a tool that is helping them, and it will definitely help with server costs.
I've been playing around with it, and I gotta say its pretty awesome. Really fills a need when Blizzard decided not to show the stat changes while looking at stuff in the AH.
As to what Ozlito was talking to:
Anytime I use +min +max on a non-weap, the numbers go from absolutely perfect, to slightly out of whack. 2 +min +max items pushed the dps difference (between dmg calc & actual) to about 130dps (with the +15% dmg multiplier). My 2 slots used were Amulet & Ring 2, but its probably not limited to just those 2.
Also using a Wizard.
I'll run some more tests with +damage items. Very odd that it's doing this.

Heh, maybe. I never thought about that method. The site it's running on was originally just a "test blog" that was run on my friend's server which he pays the bare minimum of $8/month for, so once 1000+ people were simultaneously trying to access my site, the server freaked out =P But I'm looking into alternatives right now, especially if my dmg calc remains popular. I'm always updating it, so I guess that's an option!
Sorry, currently working out server migration at the moment. It will be up again shortly. Just try again in a few minutes.
Update: 12:26 - should be functional again.
Update: 12:33 - down temporarily again =P The host is trying to resolve something. TOP MEN still working on it. Please bear with me, this is the first time I've ever encountered this issue =/
Update: 1:07, we've just transferred my site over to greener pastures, with much more bandwidth capacity. It will definitely start working soon. Working on migrating some of the associated files, to make sure everything works.
I sincerely apologize for any convenience, I'm definitely eager to get people to be able to view the site properly, however all I can do is wait for the DNS to propagate now.
But once you can successfully load the page, I guarantee that I've tested the associated files, allowing the calculator to load/work. And if you've used my calculator before, the profiles you might have saved should still exist. Hooray!
Alright, I've been working diligently on figuring out why +damage bonuses on accessories are not working properly.
I believe I've finally figured out the problem in regards to rings with +minimum and maximum damage.(Unfortunately, I haven't configured uploading for my site so the image tooltips will not be updated yet.)
But if you use rings with +min-max damage:
Possibility A: Item (rings) with stats displayed as:
+9 Minimum Damage
+18 Maximum Damage
+stats
... you would input them as such, input "9" in the minimum damage box and "18" in the maximum damage box.
Possibility B: Item (rings) with stats displayed as:
+9-18 damage
+stats
... you'd think inputting "9" in the minimum damage box, and "18" to the maximum damage box is correct.
In the event it isn't and your damage is displayed incorrectly... it might be that you need to input "18" in both the minimum damage box and "18" to maximum damage box.
I don't know why, that's just how the tooltip appears to be representing the numbers right now. So far my tests have proven this though.
If you're one of those people who are experiencing display errors with their rings +damage: try the Possibility B fix, and then compare your numbers in-game. You might still experience a small marginal error, maybe ~50ish damage, but it will be a lot better than the 200-300 error you might have seen earlier. You can also adjust for it by adding +1 or +2 to the maximum damage in the item boxes to compensate, and for some reason it will work.
edit: Evidently, the above explanation is inconsistent with a lot of rings. Just now I've tested about 20 different rings. Some rings take the "+3-6 damage" by inputting "3" and "6" in the min/max fields, others will only take "6" and "6" in order to properly compute damage.
My final conclusion is that some item tooltips in-game are just bugged. I have no personal way to adjust the calculator for it, because frankly, the items are inconsistent. I believe this is due to Blizzard's recent change in 1.0.3 which was supposed to separate +minimum and +maximum damage - they just didn't separate all of the items!
This is definitely appreciated. I'm totally going to fiddle around with this a lot. I have been having trouble deciding what I should value more or less at the AH since it won't give you a proper tooltip.
And the data calculated is very very close for me. I'm assuming the error comes from the damage on jewelry. I have +16-42 neck, +22-41 ring1 and +17max ring2. The calculator my DPS at 10.20 higher than the in game display. So that's a pretty reasonable margin of error to work with. Especially considering how much Blizz loves to hide mechanics and calculations.

Great to hear, I'm sorry I'm unable to help you determine which one of those items might be displayed wrong. You could test one of them at a time and just leave the others blank to determine the culprit, but if you're fine with a 10 dmg difference, that's OK too.
My browser seems to crash everytime I try and change the weapon type...
EDIT: Crashes everytime I click to change any value actually. On Chrome. Tried Internet Explorer and it apparently works...
Very odd. I apologize for that, perhaps it might help to delete any saved cookies for my site, or possibly clearing out your browser's cache? I've tested my site for both Chrome and Firefox, and it works alright - messy sometimes since I'm a noob web designer, but it works. I can't say much about IE because i uninstalled that like the plague when I purchased this computer.
Got it to work finally, I get nearly the same DPS as I have in game when I enter my ring that has 7-14 damage as 7 minimum damage, 14 maximum damage. DPS ingame is 56610 and in calculator 56607.1. With 14 as both minimum and maximum damage it is off more so I guess the other method is working for this particular ring then...

When we were testing earlier, we found two rings that were both 9-18 damage and had a small difference of 2 dex. The rings gave different damage values according to the in-game dps numbers (more than the 2 dex difference accounts for) depending on which ring was equipped. That was when we knew something funky was going on.
I really wish we have a better solution for you. Unfortunately, the displayed values are the only ones accessible to players. When those values are inconsistent......
prim stat: 1644 (matches screen)
damage: 37582,78 (screen: 37583,89)
main hand dps: 1162,7 (Screen: 1162,9)
MH aps: 1,342 (screen: 1,34 = ok)
crit chance/damage: 20/133 (matches screen)
the differences are marginal. But I have to say that the page isnt very performant. it causes my browser (that very tab that is open) to have serious stutters. and my pc isnt the worst ;D

I'm glad that you your numbers matched up pretty closely, though not 100%. That's one of the random mysteries of Blizzard's rounding versus what's displayed in the calculator. I don't round anything other than the display number for some values at the very bottom in the damage summary table. If I were to round elements of an equation before calculating the displayed damage, it's going to cause a whole bunch of other scenarios to be waaaaaay off =)
I apologize for any stuttering caused upon pageload. I've actually optimized the page quite a bit yesterday by reducing image sizes by about 75% of their previous values. I'll work on other site optimizations later today.
Alrighty, just did a late night Indiana Jones-like switcheroo, and now Version 1.3 is out. Took a bunch of suggestions into account.
Added many class ability checkboxes, Expand in Step 4 and you will see them. Hide them once you're done with them. Tooltips will come as I get around to taking screenshots and formatting images.
Added additional notes and warnings to prevent people from inputting numbers they shouldn't be inputting (like weapon bonus % damage.)
Fixed image size across everything, page should load a lot faster.
Fixed formatting, tried to make it as small as possible. Still working on other ideas to improve appearance.
I'll run some more tests with +damage items. Very odd that it's doing this.

I removed the static page, and reverted back to http://theasiangamer.com/.

det är inte bra! I'm sorry that internet has not made my site known in Sweden yet. Patience, it will arrive soon!

It's not on the table right now. There's a good one over at http://www.diablofans.com/topic/43712-diablo3-effective-health-pool-calculator/ which I recommend for that purpose. Once I feel the damage calculator is "complete" I'll likely work on a different tool that serves another need (not yet determined).
