i have been asking my self what happened to the old d2 heros paladin , amazon , necromance, assesin , sorcerer , druid . what are their story after d2 events, do they just went home with his respected families?
can any one guide me throw this cause that question iche my head
Ive heard that you will encounter the necromancer in D3 at some point, I'm not the person who's an expert on this though, maybe some one with more knowledge will post here.
I have herd the same thing about the necromancer being seen in D3, If memory serves someone asked this question at blizzcon. We all have no knowlege on the other classes
I'm no expert either, but the characters in D2 was kinda region based (not saying they can't go away), Barb was from Harrogath ect. So lore wise they probably stayed behind and the new characters from D3 will be "used" since we'll be playing through their native areas...I think. <_<

wow just when i tought i couldnt read any more spoiler ( wich i wanted) you did id thansk for the info , hope the other heros or at least tha paladin get into d3 lore or somehow
Since d one used its toons in d2 it stands to reason we will see d2 toons in d3 (blood raven for d1 rogue and the summoner for the sorcerer. And of course dark wanderer for warrior)
I heard early on that the male Barbarian in Diablo 3 is the same one as Diablo 2, aged twenty years. The Book of Cain implies that the Amazon, Necromancer, Sorceress and Barbarian all lived through the events of Hell, as per an illustration on the side. The only one missing was the Paladin, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
It's been my theory that the Templar Follower, Kormac, is the Paladin from D2. However, I'll have to re-watch the video in which he was initially introduced, since a bit of his backstory is contained in that.
The Necromancer, I've heard, appears in D3, probably providing some connection to one of the D3 expansions.
I don't know what happened to the others. At least one of them has apparently gone insane, but I don't think that would be the Necro.

Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?
The road's goal is the dark Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

how is the book of cain, I'm considering buying it, in fact I really want it and will buy it when its back in stock, but after reading it is it awesome, or just ok?
they have said that all seven heroes from D2 will make some form of a reappearance in D3. While some may be NPC's you interact with, others may just be mentioned in some dialogue. But they said we will know what happened to all of them.

Well Argile, I'm of the opinion that it's "Okay." I expected a lot more in the way of exposition, but it's honestly just a summary of everything that's happened in the Diablo world. It more or less catches the noobies up to speed. There's a couple tidbits in there, but it's a hook for new fish. If you want to know anything about Diablo, look it up in a wiki somewhere, you'll get more out of it in my opinion.

Yeah I kind of figured it was like that, don't hate, I'd probably get it for the illustration because I know i can fund the content on the internet, and the illustrations just look awesome.
Oh no doubt, the illustrations are gorgeous. As an artist, I can appreciate the time and effort that went into designing and crafting this book. Heavy stock paper that's been frayed at the edges; multiple artists' contributions, including the likes of Brom; cute little details, like smudges on a page opposite of a picture that's been "drawn" with a heavy hand and charcoal. It's a well-crafted book, there's no denying it.
