So with elective mode wizard can use familar dmg boost and magic weapon dmg boost together. The question is hwo come dmg + modifiers are giving me more dmg than stacking intell? A +5-6 dmg weapon for example gives me more dmg then +intell. Intell besides giving resistance doesnt increase wizard spell dmg as much as pure dmg + modifiers any comments? My wizard is holding a barb item with no intel Im lvl 54 and my dmg is 4k, really need someone to commend on which is better stacking intel or +dmg modifers for wizard. Thanks

I play a witch doctor. As far as I can tell, like you said, int is used for gaining damage and resistances. I always try to take int over +dmg because the resistances will come in handy, but sometimes those straight +dmg items are too good to pass up. So in my opinion stacking int is better than stacking +dmg. Vitality is also good

But stacking intel gives you much less dmg +90 intel for example isnt even comparable to +5-6 dmg
I figured, since all skills are based of wep damage, to just stack rubies in your weapon and everything else should have Topaz, and the Helm can have Amy or Topaz doesn't matter, preferably Amy if you're going on a hard run, Topaz if you're looking for items. It's odd that Damage is just a better modifier than pure int. Maybe it's an issue they'll resolve with he first patch?

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
Oh and by the way. I'd suggest levelling fast with the help of sockets + rubies, it is only a matter of time till blizzard will put a level requirement on it. Socketing 2-3 high tier rubies pretty much outperforms anything you will ever find below lvl 60, which is broken design if you ask me.
I wouldn't worry about that. Blizz has publicly stated that they intent gems to be used for twinking low level characters (probably because it's fun and will boost the gem economy). Sorry don't have a link to the blue post.
