Hello and welcome!

This is my first published build and it's centered around speed farming with whirlwind. With the help of my friend, we've tested and created a durable but devastating farming build.

Whirlwind has lost a lot of its mojo over the years but if you're looking for something that can speed farm GR75 and below then this might just be for you.

I've deviated slightly from the standard meta for most speed WW builds but I've found this to be tankier and more damaging. It's a whole lot of fun.

A brief run down of how this build works:

We're using the full 6pc Wastes set for the obvious buffs to WW.

Pride of Cassius for an extended duration on that sweet sweet Ignore Pain. This is key because we're using the rune - Bravado. I'll touch on that later.

Strongarm Bracers for some tasty bonus damage that works seamlessly with Ignore Pain - Bravado. (Bravado will cause knockbacks on enemies). You can of course use Nemesis Bracers for T13 farming.

Our weapons will be the Bul'Kathos's set for even more WW dmg buff.

The rings can all be interchanged between the cube and what you wear. Just put the worst stat ring in the cube. I like to put Skull Grasp in the cube so I'll get that max WW dmg.

As far as your neck goes I strongly recommend using a Hellfire Amulet with one of the following passives - Animosity, Nerves of Steel, or Relentless. Of course if you get one of the recommended passives for this build on there then just roll with that.

For our cube we're slamming in that Furnace for Elite damage, Mantle of Channeling for more damage and mitigation, and lastly putting in one of the three rings, Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac, Skull Grasp, or Convention of Elements.

Legendary Gems are going to be Gogok of Swifness, Taeguk, and Pain Enhancer.

So here I'd like to explain these gems. Using Gogok of Swiftness is nuts. You will benefit from everything it has to offer such as, Attack speed (More WW dmg!), Dodge chance (With our runes and this gem I sit at a little over 50% dodge), and cooldown reduction (Perm up time for Ignore Pain and Wrath of the Berserker since it's coupled with Obsidian Ring of the Zodiak.)

Taeguk - More damage and armor per stack while channeling WW. Self Explanatory.

Pain Enhancer - At first glance you won't want to use it. I get that, but hear me out. You only need to level this to 25. If you want it higher then more power to you. We don't really care about the bleed damage. We want that super sweet Attack Speed buff PER ENEMY BLEEDING. More attack speed equals more WW procs. I don't have to tell you that equals more damage.

Time for the skill breakdown:

Wrath of the Berserker - Insanity; This is your steroid. With the perm up time (As long as you are at 37% Cooldown Reduction before modifiers) you can keep this bad boy running. What I like to do is just save it for Elites.

Whirlwind - Blood Funnel; This is your bread and butter. Your salt and pepper. Blood Funnel allows us to take a whole lot more damage than we're supposed to and keep on dealing that stacking WW damage.

Warcry - Veteran's Warning; Keep this up. This will give you increased armor and dodge chance. This coupled with Gogok of Swiftness is a mitigation machine.

Threatening Shout - Falter; Spam this bad boy like no tomorrow and everything will just melt. Why? Falter increases the damage the enemy takes. With our cooldown there should be no reason you can't just go spam crazy.

Ignore Pain - Bravado; Halves your damage taken, increases movement speed (Zoom!), and knocks enemies back. Coupled with Strongarm Bracers, you'll see a pleasant increase in damage and mitigation.

Battle Rage - Bloodshed; This is another steroid that you'll want to keep up at all times. Increase in damage, critical chance, and when you crit you'll do a nice chunk of area damage. What's a more complimentary skill than that for WW?!

Stats can vary and by no means make or break this build. It can, of course, enhance it. The following is what I recommend for stat priority.

Helm - Strength>Crit Chance>WW Damage

Shoulders - Strength>Cooldown Reduction>Resist All>Vitality

Chest - Strength>Life per Fury Spent>Resist All

Gloves - Strength>Crit Chance>Crit Damage>Area Damage

Legs - Strength>Vitality>Resist All

Boots - Strength>Vitality>WW Damage>Resist All

Bracers - Strength>Physical Damage>Crit Chance>Vitality

Belt - Strength>Vitality>Life per Fury Spent>Resist All

Ring 1 - Crit Chance>Crit Damage>Cooldown Reduction

Ring 2 - Crit Chance>Crit Damage>Flat Damage/Strength

Neck - Crit Damage>Crit Chance>Strength

Weapons - Damage>Strength>Percent Damage>Life per Fury Spent

Well ladies and gentlemen, this about wraps it up. I'm sure I missed a few things here and there or maybe I was long winded but as long as I somewhat got the point across and someone finds this build enjoyable then my work here is done.

Enjoy!
