Hey Guys!

This is just going to be a brief explanation of which stats I value in this build and why.

-Helm: Diamond

-Chest: Rubies / Diamonds (Use whichever you need the most, see below for more)

-Weapon: Gem of Ease

Try to get cool down reduction on every single piece possible! You need as much as you can get, preferably max rolls everywhere. This should be your number 1 priority with this build.


After that, I would try to keep my armor / resistance ratio as close to 10 / 1 as I could. Generally for every 10 armor you want about 1 of each resistance to optimize your armor and resistance. Remember for a ZDPS character, Strength and Dexterity = Armor and Intelligence = All Resistance.


Attack speed is also fairly important for this build because attack speed affects how frequently you can activate your obsidian ring of the zodiac. This means the more you are able to stack attack speed, the easier it becomes to keep land of the dead up. I would not worry about stacking too much attack speed on my gear; but if you can get it in a few places it definitely will help (you will also get it from bone spear).


You can also keep an eye out for gear that has pick up radius or +globes as this will help your group move more swiftly though out the rift.

When running with a group you should remove all paragon points from Area Damage. You do not do damage and thus you do not want to make the game work harder to calculate the area damage of your lack of damage. It serves no purpose for your role and it has been known in the past to contribute to lag in the greater rift.
The General rule of thumb with Area Damage is to keep it at 0 if you are not a damage dealer.

Build Guide

Heya!

I thought I would write a little guide on this build for those who are new to it. This whole guide-writing thing is also a first for me; so please bear with me!


Alright, lets get right into it!


The entire purpose of the Znecro is to freeze enemies and activate Krsybins Sentence for your Rathma Necros and, most importantly, too also generate globes with devour + Life From Death so that your Rathma necros can produce those wonderfully powerful mages they are known for.


First thing to note is that Cool Down Reduction is everything in this build! You absolutely want it everywhere, max rolls, as much of it as you can possibly get! So why do you want all of this CDR, you might ask? Well it's quite simple really; we aim to keep Land of the Dead up 100% of the time and as it is a 120 second recharge skill. Every last bit of CDR helps tremendously!


Land of the Dead serves two purposes for your team. The primary purpose is, of course, to generate infinity corpses so that you can consume them with Devour and generate globes via your passive, Life From Death. The secondary purpose of Land is that it serves as your teams primary means of defense as it freezes almost all enemies (It does not freeze Juggernauts) within a massive radius.


You should also note that you have Command Skeletons on your bar to activate your obsidian ring of the zodiac. You are only running bone spear for the attack speed increase. You do not want to cast it anymore than needed to maintain the attack speed buff. (Please see above for why attack speed is important.) You will want to be utilizing the num lock trick on your Command Skeletons and waving your mouse over different enemies as you move through out the rift. (I would also suggest binding your Force move to Scroll wheel up and Scroll wheel down)

If you are not familiar with the num-lock trick, I would recommend a quick youtube search: Num Lock Trick Diablo.


I highly recommend you num lock both Devour and Command Skeletons at the very least! It is almost impossible to play this build efficiently and to be manually casting both of these skills 100% of the time. Use the num lock trick to your advantage here! Your team will thank you!!


There is one last thing I would like to note about the pace of this build. You should be moving from elite pack to elite pack and you should try to use Teleport only when necessary. Quite simply: the more you teleport, the more the teleport animation interrupts your ability to produce globes. Blood Rush is definitely a necessary part of the build; but try to keep it to a minimum when moving from elite to elite. This will allow you to produce more globes while running and, assuming your z-barb is at 22 pickup radius, will allow your Rathma Necros to keep producing mages while you move throughout the rift.
