So 99% of your stress comes from the objective to chain 20 impale hits. First let’s take a look at some of the facts surrounding this objective.

Impaling the air breaks the streak.
Hitting the same mob twice breaks the streak
miss-clicks are the biggest problem. Mobs move so be patient
Remove area damage from gear if possible
Dismiss your follower- nothing worse than your follower drawing aggro right as you cast impale
Use Envious blade for a almost guaranteed 1 hit kill

In terms of slowing with shadow power please note that only the INITIAL SLOW UPON SHADOW POWER ACTIVATION is counted towards the objective

Other than that this is a pretty easy dungeon to master. Be patient and take your time!
