Build is now somewhat finalized. Currently clearing GR84 solo speeds in 3 to 5m, That's with only 11k Strength, mostly non ancient gear, non ancient weapons, only 700% multiplier shield, and only 1.2M dps sheet.
Enjoy!
I love the added tankiness with this setup, using both Guard and Prophet with Unity (use on follower also with do not die token).
Having the Akkahns Addendum is great too for the Rally rune on akkarat's champion, quicker resets on all of your abilities.
High CDR from Leoric's Crown and Vigilante belt allows for even more uptime of Iron skin, wings of angels law, and a low cooldown provoke.
The extra wrath regen from the embodiment of power rune also helps ensure uninterrupted condemn attacks. Make sure to use the inspire ability on templar follower.
Provoke is great here for slowing the attack speed of enemies, great against pylon spawns, elite packs, and the RG. Provoke also functions as a hefty Wrath recovery skill. Try to cast when more enemies are around your character to increase the wrath amount recovered.
Esoteric Alteration provides defense against harmful elemental damage affixes such as fire chains, electrified, frozen pulse, molten, etc.
You can use scripting or numlock for your autocast.
Keep all four abilities on auto cast. All you should have to manually cast with this build is slash and provoke, though you can opt to swap the placement of provoke and iron skin, and instead manually cast the iron skin if preferred.
Use move and force move to position for oculus rings and use the vaccumm pull to your advantage. Try and pull enemies at least once to proc the Strongarms damage debuff on them.
Movement speed in this build comes from wings of angels with extra duration from long arm of the law. Not 100% uptime, but very close to it, due to the inclusion of both Leoric's Crown and Vigilante Belt. This skill also gives the ability to walk through enemies, and waller, quite nice.
- Can run Warzechian Armguards instead of Strongarms.
- Can run Wreath of Lightning gem instead of Powerful.
- Can run Flash rune on iron skin, but this bonus is inconsistent.
EDIT (4/10/2018): Swapped out illusory boots as seen in video for Leoric's crown for higher uptime on skills, and higher uptime of wings of angels.
EDIT (5/15/2018): Swapped Mirinae for Esoteric, replaced WPS (wrath per second) on shield with LPWS (life per wrath spent). Swapped Indestructible for Holy cause. Listing option for RCR on shoulder.
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much!
With all of the Condemn % damage bonuses from Blade of Prophecy and Frydehr's Wrath, Is the Condemn % damage from shoulders, chest and shield very impactful? I'd love to see the math on how Condemn's damage is calculated. Thanks!
The damage bonus from the sword and shield are multiplicative bonuses, and separate from the damage added by skills category. The affixes on gear for condemn% will be additive with each other, and combined with other bonuses in that category. You can map it out on d3planner if you'd like more detail.
Is it not a bit overlapping to use both wings of angels and illusory boots? Why not wear akhan boots and leorics crown for more cooldown?
Good point, Bode927, this is mostly redundant. I can't recall if wings of angels is the same effect, but lets assume it's the same as illusory.
Swapping out Illusory boots would be possible, but you still don't have 100% uptime of the law. I believe I went with Illusory boots for this reason.
EDIT: Leoric's in place of Illusory boots is the quickest and easiest swap. You still have downtime, but it is only 1 second, instead of 2-3s.
Hi Bode927,
Thank you very much for pointing that out. Last season I was new to the crusader, and missed that part of the wings of angels skill.
I've updated the build to match the swap to Leoric's.
Here is my reasoning:
Note: (4/10/2018) Updated build with Leoric's crown instead of Illusory boots, as wings of angels and illusory boots were performing the same function. As long as you have adequate cooldown, the downtime on the law is only 1-1.5s. While you can still die within this time frame, I feel the double life helps compensate for this. Leoric's has the added benefit of lower Cooldown / higher uptime on our other skills, including wings of angels (more movement).
EDIT (5/15/2018): Swapped Mirinae for Esoteric, replaced WPS (wrath per second) on shield with LPWS (life per wrath spent). Swapped Indestructible for Holy cause. Listing option for RCR on shoulder.
Problem before was with healing. IMO Holy cause alone doesn't provide enough when only using condemn as the source of holy damage.
However, I overlooked life per wrath spent. This affix can be placed on shield in place of wrath per second, as there was some wiggle room here. The player can then opt for RCR on shoulder if they still want easy resource management, but based on testing, you can get by very readily without RCR on shoulder even.
Therefore, swapped out mirinae for Esoteric for higher toughness, swapped in holy cause for the damage. Holy cause in combination with the life per wrath spent on shield provides enough recovery for the build.
While you do lose the second life passive, this series of swaps is both a toughness and damage increase, while preserving health recovery.
I will be recording and uploading a new video as the old one is now very different from the listed build.
