Kanai's Cube

  • The Flow of Eternity
  • Lefebvre's Soliloquy
  • Unity

To start off this is not my own build. It is Rhykker's. All credit goes to him.

- For the cubed ring, it does not really matter. For solo play Unity would be most beneficial. For group plays you can go with Band of the Rue Chambers, Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac, Oculus Ring, Avarice Band or Rogar's Huge Stone. Really anything applicable to Monks will do.

- The Flow of Eternity cube item is also a required item for this build as it reduces the cooldown- and doubles the damage of Seven Sided Strike.

Cooldown reduction is very important for this build, especially for the Greater Rift pushing variant. Having a lot of CDR increases the frequency at which you can use Seven Sided Strike. This in combination with the Binding of the Lost belt increases damage reduction for 7 seconds. Additionally combining this effect with Lion's Claw, offers up to 70% damage reduction (5% per hit * 14 hits).

A very important but perhaps confusing effect you need is Life Regeneration as opposed to for instance Life per Hit. This is, because while you are Seven Sided Striking you cannot take any damage. That makes it the opportune moment to regenerate life.

Also on the belt you want Armor as opposed to Life %, because the higher you go in Greater Rifts, the more important mitigating the incoming damage becomes opposed to having simply more health.

As for gems, put a Diamond in the helm for the additional cooldown reduction and either Diamonds or Emeralds in the rest of the gear, depending on whether you need resistance or damage.

Options:

- For more defence, roll Vitality on the helm. For more damage, roll Exploding Palm % instead.

- Playing solo use the Unity in the cube for yourself and your follower.

For T13 Speedfarming variant:

- Swap the belt for a Goldwrap.

- Swap the Lion's Claw for an In-Geom. You won't notice the damage decrease from Seven Sided Strike, but will be able to dash faster from elite pack to elite pack, because of the cooldown reduction.

- Swap the ring in the cube for an Avarice Band.

- Swap the armor in the cube for a Madstone. This makes it so you do not have to apply Exploding Palm yourself. It will apply with Seven Sided Strike

- Swap the Gogok of Swiftness for a Boon of the Hoarder.

- Swap the Bane of the Stricken for a Bane of the Powerful.

- Swap the Way of the Hundred Fists rune to Blazing Fists.

- Swap Cyclone Strike to Mantra of Conviction : Annihilation

- Swap the Dashing Strike rune to Way of the Falling Star

- Swap Near Death Experience to Fleet Footed

Then just dash from elite pack to elite pack applying Seven Sided Strike.

Build Guide

Once again, this is not my own guide. It is Rhykker's. All credit goes to him!

Use Cyclone Strike every 5 seconds at least to keep up the cubed Lefebvre's Soliloquy 50% damage reduction.

Use Dashing Strike every 4 seconds at least to keep up the dodge buff.

You can have pretty good uptime on Epiphany in general, but if you can't really manage it that well, try to save it for bigger encounters like Rift Guardians.

The Uliana's 2-piece set bonus does not apply the rune you have equiped on Exploding Palm in the skillbar. I do not know which one it does apply, if any at all.

For exact skill-use you need to review the situation and adapt to it, but generally the rotation looks something like this:

- Find the toughest enemy in a pack.

- Apply Exploding Palm to said enemy manually, so your generator does not apply the weaker version of EP first. This cannot be overridden with a more powerful version.

- Cyclone strike to pull enemies in to create density.

- Way of the Hundred Fists to get your damage stacks up.

- Pop Seven Sided Strike.

Maximize your damage in the cold rotation of Convention of Elements as this is a cold build.
