Thanks for the kind words. Good luck in season!
You welcome
Issue is.. he is paragon 3225 in that video and wich makes this a little bit bad as a sesonal video since he also used all paragon points.
Most other sesonal setups created by people here usualy leave 0 points in paragon main stat ( str/dex/int/vit ) to show and prove that their setup is reliable.
so i dont have much faith in uliana from this post.
I probley gonna play with this build in season now
Long time ago I made my screen go boom boom.
But when I played Uliana last time, I went with Broken Promise and removed all critchance, so only had the 5% base. So I almost allways had 100% critchance when I made my palm go boom.
But do you lose to much damage (compared to Convention of Elements)?
I remeber it was nice to skip crit chance on gear and go for defensive stats instead.
And if you would use this build in group, what would you change unity too?
Probably Avarice Band with Boon of the Hoarder (instead Bane of the Stricken) for Nephalem Rifts, Stone of Jordan for Greater Rifts.
It seems like without unity this is super squishy? what to do in groups? I usually always play with one friend so Unity is useless. What can be used instead?
Cool build. I decided to play your SWK WOL but rng decided that I should play this build instead. Good thing I did because this is really fun.
To make it group friendly, can replace Unity with a RORG, and equip Lafevre shoulders.
This build is a nice density destroyer in groups, awful Vs few and single.
Does the 2 piece Uliana EP work with area damage yet or has that not been fixed yet?
No. Items's stat priority, paragon, video different. Follower info.
First off, this is too late, but I reference this build a lot and thank you. One thing I love and still reference all the time... the notes for the templar. I was a noob this season and that detail helped me a lot. Another helpful bit was you added what gems should be socketed on helm, torso, and legs, again as a noob this was helpful until I started figuring it out later on. This was my first serious build, hit 94 with him; I was pleased; I am not the best player. =) Just wanted to say thank you for putting the extra time for the added details.
Good build! Not sure if it can compete with WOL tho.
I've been playing the WOL build for 2 seasons, been able to get up to around 100 rift level with my limited amount of play time. This build has always been one that interests me and I've wanted to play, but haven't really. I have a ton of appropriate ancient gear for it, and last night popped a primal ancient lions claw. So I'm thinking I'd like to give it a whirl. Everything about this build seems pretty straight forward to me, but I'm still slightly confused about the mythic rythem, hit three times and apply to a different mob, or in the video on the boss it was strike him three times and wait 9 seconds, then apply the buffed exploding palm?
Can you explain why you open with the 9 second delay and also what your rotation looks like when you're simply hitting the boss over and over (how you re apply EP etc.)?
Update: Got home last night, set up all my gear and talents and struggled to not die doing a GR 70 with 1.2 million paper dps in game. It didn't feel that tanky at all to me, tried a few rifts and struggled through them all, it's a fun build, but feel like I have skin about as thick as toilet paper. I put my WOL set back up (1.5 million sheet dps) and proceeded to blow through level 85 greater rifts in under 5 minutes. I feel like I'm missing something on the uliana's play.
Great video, and thanks for the help!

The premise of this guide was dishonest from the outset. 3000 paragons and high-augmented ancients place it at 3.6m sheet with over 25k DEX, Without these stats the build has poor survivability at 90 even with Lef shoulders (which come with a massive damage loss themselves). For those making suggestions, this isn't a failure of the guide author. Spirit Guards + Binding + >2000 resist + traveller's + the app. 800k life in this video wouldn't significantly benefit from Lef or more dodge when they can already walk through lasers at 105.
The problem is a lack of damage in a build that was only relevant to begin with due to a quirk in damage (pylon snapshotting) that has long since been patched out. The minor buffs this build has received since then, with a heavy focus on SSS (entirely the wrong end of this stick) raised its ceiling but did little to change its place in the monk build hierarchy.
With this much paragon-based survivability and damage, you can take your pick of push builds on this site and clear paragon 100. Anyone confused about not being able to reproduce these results needs to recognize that this is a non-season run featuring an old build propped up by paragons. Uliana's is not relevant in 2.6.1 and to be honest it hasn't been relevant in quite some time. It isn't even close to approaching the best option for monks and arguably hasn't been since Season 3, having long since been replaced by Inna's to do the same things, only better.
If you plan on botting, account sharing, or just running meta speeds nonstop all season, this build will take you places. If you're content with the knowledge that those places won't be as far and will take longer to get to, then give this build a try.
