Hello everyone,

After pushing several R1 as barb, I thought it would be worth explaining the gear and basic mechanics of the Zbarb. Since the gear has been the same since S7, I will just explain the little changes or things which need to be explained :

-Rondal amulet : this is just a pick up radius ( PuR) item, nothing else. aim to have 6 PuR.
WHY I NEVER USE IT AS BARB? I wanna master my globes, aka, if I Know we will drop low at some point I prefer to leave some on the edge and take them later. this is just a question of preference. I usually go for the fire or arcane resist ( which saves my ass during lag phase).

-Illusory boots : if u see a barb without it, just leave the game

WHY USING ILLUSORY BOOTS? Mainly, 2 reasons : when u charge a mob, u fuck up the stun DR, hence, just walk if you want to rageflip it later on and 2) some barb are using Aquila ..... when can you benefit from the effect, since you are supposed to pull mobs all the time? -_-

-Little rogue and Slanderer : YES, it's by far the best. just test it

NB : you will be less tankier compared to a sword+ shield, hence you might need 1-2 runs to get used to it.
if you are using those 2 weapons, have some cost reduction on your gear : you will pull faster, hence getting oom faster!

Passive : Relentless : I'm using this one and it saved me from deaths /procs, especially on lags. You could use superstition instead.

Cube : Solanium : yes, it's still something. it has an Internal CD of 8 sec, but a free globe from time to time is always good.
for speeds : USE IN GEOM : spamming the war cry for movement speed will save you some time, and in case your Damage Dealers are spreaded, you can refresh IP more easily.

Gem :Wreath of lightning : I'm proud to say we were the first with Storm to use it back in S6 (video on youtube), I can even remember some players whining about the noise which seems to be a perma conduit. BUT THIS GEM IS THE BEST ONE A BARB CAN HAVE! it helps you triggering mobs, breaking doors, avoiding to waste a charge, or time.

Build Guide

I will list the mandatory things you have to do to be a descent barb :

1) get IP on ALL your team, from 0 to 15 mins ( discussed later on, sometimes u can skip IP).

2)Get 5 globes for your WD. it will make him tankier and increase his dps. it's very important that when u start to pack mobs, you need to spam ground stomp to generate globes ( and for that, the more mobs the more chances to get globes).

3)spam the war cry when you move, to increase movement speed for your party( especially the WD).

4)refresh falter all the time, but especially when the WD is gonna burst/ necro is gonna burst.

What you need to do to be a GOOD BARB :

1) Lag management : if your team dies because of the lag, you are probably responsible for that ( hello HC players).
The lag will depend on the mob type, and on the density. needless to say that over 8/9%, u need to take care and anticipe the lag. IF ITS GOING TO BE LAGGY, REMOVE SOME MOBS with rageflip, dont let your party die.

NB : I'm used to play with all top players in EUROPE, only one other barb is doing it, (>3 Nyuuk) . #hopeotherswillreadit.

2) SHIELD PYLON : this pylon may kill you (#lag), or make you loose a lot of time. I wouldn'( recommand it to take it over 7% progress around you. it's ofc situationnal, but it's ALWAYS better to take it after the WD burst.

3) Getting elites in the middle of the pack : YES, you took rageflip. if you wanna use it properly, be between the elite/mob you want to pull and the pack, and BADABOOM SURPRISE, the elite will be in the middle of the pack.
Why is it that important? because the better the elite is surrounded by mobs, the more he will suffer from area dmg.

4) PYLON MANAGEMENT : tricky part of the game. You are supposed to have a pylon every 25-30% progress and 3 to 4 pylons in the GR. this is very important that you check the progress for that.

How to become a GOD BARB?

1)Burn Pylon spots when needed : if you don't want a pylon at a precise position and you are about to make 10% ish progress, hence making the next pylon appears, just burn the pylon, aka, go on the location spot to discover it and avoid having one.

YOU NEED TO KNOW THE PYLON SPOTS AND CHECK YOUR PROGRESS BAR AT ALL TIME.

2) COMMUNICATION : this is KEY : u have to know

- when the WD wil burst, or let him know to wait because you are about to bring more mobs/elites.

-when the Necro CD burst is up.

-what are the elite life %, to know if u have to move to the next point or not.

-is IP NEEDED? ask your team mate, depending on the danger, u could spend more time bringing mobs and not come back for a not needed IP.

3) you DONT NEED TO PULL ALL THE TIME, sometimes it's better to leurre your enemy. What I want to explain is that sometimes it's better to walk around a bit next to the elite to make him follow you/get out of tricky spot. if you use rageflip it will only slow him or make him stay at the exact same position. this is very situationnal, but if you wanna be a GOD barb, you need to manage that

I will update this build if I have other points coming into my mind.
