PTR Updates: What's helping push Shadows into this 105-115 range is an update to two important parts of the setup. Karlei's Point has gained a multiplier on its Legendary power that has a range of 375-500% for Impale and the 6-piece set bonus for Shadows has been increased to 50,000% damage against the first enemy you hit with Impale. (Source)
Lightning vs. Cold: Both Lightning (Ricochet) and Cold (Overpenetration) are valid runes to take for Impale. You'll likely find your choice made for you by the gear that you find, since good Traveler's Pledges and Holy Point Shots are hard to come by. I prefer Lightning in general due to the ability to manage your Hatred better and keep the Aquila Cuirass damage reduction up more often.
Jewelry: You should use whichever ring you have that rolls better primary affixes. Since Convention of Elements has a wider range for its Legendary power, you'll likely end up cubing that and going with your best Elusive Ring.
Holy Point Shot: The ideal quiver is nearly impossible to itemize for, but instead of Dexterity, you would have Area Damage along with Lightning %, Critical Hit Chance, Attack Speed, and Impale damage. Good luck finding that!
Chain of Shadows: You may be tempted to go for the more offensive-oriented Witching Hour, but I cannot stress how useful the ability to Vault for free is, both defensively for re-positioning and offensively for activation of your Strongarm Bracers debuff.
Life After Each Kill: You should also look out for Life After Each Kill on your secondary affixes across your weapon, belt, pants, and chest, as they can add to your Life on Hit due to Shadow Power. This sustain, along with Leech, will help keep you healthy and alive in higher tier Greater Rifts.
Sockets: Flawless Royal Diamonds in helm, chest, and pants and Flawless Royal Emerald in weapon.

It dosn´t shows up that the 375-500% dmg on dagger and the 50k on set. Even though I have updated the game + crafted new gear :/
Looks good, the only question I have is if you are resource starved with this build, because unless i am missing something, I don't see any hatred builders at all...like i said, i might have missed something...let me know
Like i said, didnt know if i was missing anything, thank you very much...def missed that
If you socket diamonds should you also augment white in the chest and legs?
No. The AR provided through augmentation is largely nerfed by diminishing returns by that point and at higher GRs you can't afford to spare all that damage for a few percent of damage mitigation. The mitigation is negative when you factor in the increased time monsters are alive.
Hey, guys. How can you keep the hate up, since this build use no hate generators? I can't use this build. There's something i didn't get yet...
Yo have to make sure you are hitting as many enemies with impale as you can....look at the weapon special ability...
So with this build, would swapping the Dawn for a Lord Greenstones and the Convention for a Obsidian Ring do any good? Since this build somewhat focuses on the armor of the Fan of Knives along with some other resistances. Or is the cooldown reduction given by the Dawn that critical to the build?
Don't use Lord Greenstone because FoK isn't your main attack. You need Karlei's because it gives you hatred, without it you'd be taking alot of time using a hatred generator to regain enough to spam impale. Plus Karlei's has a multiplicative bonus, tripling your damage essentially. The 6 piece bonus to this set gives you a 50000% bonus to the 1st enemy impaled, and if using the quiver and Karlei's that's hitting 3 targets or if you're close enough all 3 hits hit one big target (grift boss). That 50000% is a 500x bonus, 500 times the damage already.
Convention can be swapped out if you're not having trouble keeping Vengeance up. Vengeance is great because it gives you: side weapons that do small damage, but it's a bonus; a massive 40% increased damage bonus; and another massive 50% damage reduction bonus.
