Head

MoJ is mandatory as we are playing a pet build. The more +%petdmg the better of course. Unfortunately we need TnT in our cube so we can't replace MoJ with something else.

Shoulders

Pauldrons of the Skeleton King are BiS here with decent rolls. Reason is the same as for LoN Spirit Barrage: the proc can rescue you in a tricky situation. Of course any other ancient shoulder piece will do the trick as long as you aim for optimal rolls.

Torso

Aquila Cuirass. One of the stronger damage reduction options in this build. The roll is trivial here as we are not using any spender which leads us to 100% uptime.

Amulet

Hellfire Amulet comes with socket. Only thing to mention is you have to pray to RNGsus for a decent roll.

Preferable 5th passive is Confidence Ritual or any of the selected ones. Adapt to what you get.

Gloves

We are running Frostburns here. The more %cold you get the better as our primary damage results from cold gargs. The additional freeze helps on RGs. If you own decent ancient Tasker and Theo (CHC/CHD/AD) use them and choose wisely for your armor slot in the cube ;)

Belt

As this build is targeting speed farming, Krelms came in very useful. Alternatives would be Witching Hour (dps) or String of Ears (toughness).

Bracers

Nemesis for those sweet extra elites. If you equip TnT as gloves you can switch to Lakumbas here and use Nemesis in your cube.

Rings

LoN Set. What you want is ChC/ChD for direct Garg pump. Int is always useful. If you're lucky you can try to get AD/ChC/ChD rolls. With high augments you won't need the int from here. Trifecta roll with IAS helps your Garg damage too.

Legs

Hexing pants are the way to go. As we are not casting anything that needs us to be stationary (except Fire Bomb for breaking doors) we can benefit from running like a beheaded chicken. Circle around your Gargantuans for Confidence Ritual and Grave Injustice benefits. Alternatively use %cold Swamp Land Waders. With TnT equipped your cube could hold Hexing Pants for you.

Mainhand

In-Geom is THE weapon to go for speeding everything up. After your first elite kill flash forward through the rifts/GR to the next until RG spawns. There is no alternative here as you want The Furnace in your cube for maximum elite damage.

Offhand

Uhkapian Serpent vs. Henris: Henris offers you protection from getting one shot. But that's it from there. Uhkapian offers continued reduction therefore I'd aim for that as BiS for this build. Thing of the Deep is a more offensive option here. Switch out Spirit Vessel for Gruesome Feast and enjoy the 20 yard pickup range. Helps your Grave Injustice too.

Cube

Weapon :: Furnace. What else?

Armor :: Tasker and Theo. No pet build without those. As this is a cold heavy build we need to put them here.

Jewelry :: As we are one of those Garg docs, we need our Small Man's Finger here.

Gems

Bane of the Trapped is self explanatory. We proc it while speeding through everything (self proc) and our pets do the same.

Enforcer helps our pets to survive and boosts their damage. We like that.

Bane of the Powerful provides a solid damage boost after your first elite kill. Get it to a solid level to let it last longer. Also the extra %elite damage helps with clearing times.

Core :: As usual MS until 25%, then Int

Offense :: ChC and ChD affect your Gargs directly, so primary focus on those two

Build Guide

Hello fellow monster mashers.

I was experimenting with some LoN builds lately and ran over J_Macc's Walker build from a few patches ago. I tried a few adaptions and came to this build. This is basically a LoN adaption of HT Chicken Gargs so primarily aimed at those of you who are tired of running the chicken.

It provides solid cleartimes and killspeeds for T13 and GR65-70. With some adaptions I even cleared GR80 but I wouldn't recommend.

The gear section describes the choices very good and should give you the idea behind this. Gargantuans are our killing machines while the dogs heal us a bit on the side.

Playstyle

Fire up your pets and run. Circle around your Gargs while they smash elites. Loot. Find next elites. Repeat :)

I'm using a Templar follower with Ess of Johann for some extra grouping and the powerful Occulus procs.
