This build began as an attempt to turn SpeedSplosion into a higher GR build. Then the thought occurred to me, partly as a joke and partly not - "What if instead of focusing on buffing Corpse Explosion damage, I focused on buffing all of the passive damage?" The build applies the same concept as what I refer to as "passive murdering potential" in the SpeedSplosion build but ratcheted up a notch and increasing survivability at the same time. I'm consistently getting clears of 2:30 in GR60 and 3:30 in GR70 which puts it right on par with SpeedSplosion at GR60 and better at higher GRs (because it's quite a bit tankier).
Blind Faith, Frostburn, and Bone Spirit: Possession are all applying different types of CC to enemies to maintain the full Krysbin's damage buff. With SpeedSplosion we're running around with just the first tier Krysbin's buff, which is plenty for GR60 but can hurt as you go higher. Blind Faith is really handy here - it and Frostburn are going off simply by the bone storm hitting enemies and Bone Spirit is used on Elites. The 10-second charm is kindof insane honestly. Put that on an elite and it's over. Put a charge on each champion in a 3-pack and it's over. It doesn't work on RGs (or Juggernauts of course) unfortunately, but the blind and freeze do work on RGs. Blind Faith has a 20% variance range on the chance to blind (20-40%) so this can really make a difference - you want it as high as you can get it obviously.
I really recommend going with Wisdom of Kalan as this provides both more DR and more movespeed. That said, I've done it with a Hellfire (with Overwhelming Essence on it) and it was okay - there aren't a whole lot of great options for a fifth passive currently though because Fueled by Death is currently bugged and doesn't scale properly. You could also use Spreading Malediction but it's really not necessary and we can't make very good use of it anyway because the build kills trash really quickly. Overwhelming Desire could be an interesting choice as well, but unfortunately I don't have a good one to test with currently.
You can use Dizzying Curse in place of Opportunist on Decrepify but I prefer the movespeed.
The rune on Blood Rush is totally optional - Potency, Metabolism, and Hemostasis are all good options. I usually use Potency just because I designed this to be a bit tankier for higher GRs but Metabolism is probably a better choice for GR60.
Aura of Frailty is really useful for slapping a curse on enemies to give us the Trag's Fang damage buff simply by walking by them (which we have to do anyway with this build).
Devour: Cannibalize is being numlocked! There are many videos on how to do this, so I'm not going to go into a lot of detail there, but here's a good tutorial by Quin69: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaAI8s8rft4 I'm actually not using a force move key here though, I'm just holding/tapping left-click to move. You can use this to kindof control when you absorb corpses - so long as you're holding left-click, Devour won't go off, but if you tap it it will. Any time you stop to cast Decrepify it's going to activate as well. This synergizes extremely well with Bone Spirit because every time you devour a corpse it reduce's Bone Spirit's cooldown - so much so that I find I'm actually saving it more than I need to in most cases, and I'm still trying to break that habit. It is primarily intended to be used on elites, but the cooldown gets cut down so much that you're not really hurting yourself by keeping it on 2 charges + cooldown at all times.
How does it work?
So what exactly is happening with this build? Basically, all of our damage is being applied passively via our bone storm (thus the "lazy" moniker). You walk up to an enemy with your bone storm on, it hits them which does its own damage and it applies Toxin, and when it crits it applies Pain Enhancer (this is why CHC is so important here). Blind Faith and Frostburn are being proced by the bone storm hitting. The various sources of CC are ensuring that we're getting the most out of our passive damage by maintaining the full Krysbin's buff. Between all our damage buffs and the storm+Toxin+Pain Enhancer enemies just melt. Everything else here is designed to give us more move speed, more toughness, or crowd control for more damage.
How to play:
1) Numlock Devour as soon as the rift begins
2) Use Decrepify on enemies
3) Start up your bone storm on the enemies and use it when it's off cooldown
4) Stand next to enemies for a second or two then keep moving
5) Use Bone Spirit on elites and occasionally throw it on larger trash (if you feel like it) to keep it at 2 charges+cooldown at all times - it recharges extremely fast from Devour
Teleport forward if there are gaps between groups of enemies or you hit a dead end, otherwise just run by/through enemies.
Bonus Fear+Movespeed Alternate Setup (good for GR60 content):
-Drop Blind Faith and equip full Inarius
-Swap Dayntee's for Krelm's Buff Belt
-Swap RoRG for Rechel's Ring of Larceny in the cube
-Swap Frostburn for Warzechian Armguards or Stewart's Graves in the cube
-Change Bone Spirit: Possession to Bone Spirit: Panic Attack
-Change Blood Rush: Potency for Blood Rush: Metabolism
-Swap Decrepify: Opportunist for Simulacrum: Reservoir (this can be pretty much anything but Simulacrum: Reservoir is literally "press this button and do more damage" so it's simple; you could also do something like Ice Golem)
Cast Bone Spirit at least every four seconds (Fear also counts for the triple Krysbin's buff, by the way), keep moving forward, watch stuff die behind you. I have a video of this setup in the description.
Can you post your d3planner link? I can't do 70s without aquila's cuirass. How much armor/life/etc do you have?
I've got 15k armor and 1.35M HP.
Just tried it, very nice work, of course i threw away an ancient blind faith the other day. I'm curious why no skill on chest? both skills are available, i guess bone armor would be best for trash and spirit would improve elites. Or do you feel the 6 pc set dilutes the damage increase too much?
thanks though i am so sick of all the builds that require cdr and land of dead and you get stuck not being able to do any damage or cant clear trash in groups and get stuck in skinny cave maps and cant keep up.
this is a breath of fresh air, I have been trying to make something or look for something just like this
That said, Bone Armor damage is really really nice too, and if you decide to roll skill damage on the chest, that's definitely the one you'd want. I've been going Life % but both are good. Try them and see which you prefer.
Glad you're enjoying the build!
I will try to use the molten gem with the draw life passive instead. And remove aquila. Which gem should be removed for this test?
Don't be afraid to throw in some amethyst in your gear/vitality in paragon either - you should have at least 1M HP. Remember that more health is serving double duty here because not only is it giving enemies more of a barrier to have to break through, but it's increasing your healing from Dark Reaping + Devour: Cannibalize too. At 1.35M HP, I'm getting 67500 HP back from every enemy that dies. If you've got 700k HP, you'll get 35000 HP back instead.
A couple of questions for you:
Why Bone Spirit here? Do mobs still take damage while they are charmed to fight for you? I'm on PS4, so targetting is a bit more difficult, and I'm wondering if there might be a better option than this. In your videos, you mentioned how that's kind of a dead slot for a lot of the run. Would Command Golem: Ice Golem work here?
Second Question is about Efficacious Toxin. Wouldn't Powerful be a better option than this? Your first pack would be slightly harder to kill, but after that, you'd have 10% more damage from pack to pack, and you'd have higher damage reduction against elites in general.
I'm definitely going to be building this and trying it out, however. It looks like the ultimate speedrunning build for lazy people like myself. I've been using your speedsplosion build up to this point haha. Keep up the great work!
BotP is an okay option but the reason I like Toxin, specifically, is because it helps us kill enemies when we're not even near them - simply by running by them. Don't discount its own damage. BotP is more damage when you're actually standing next to an enemy and hitting them with your bone storm. Toxin is more damage when you're not. BotP is definitely more damage in either scenario specifically for elites, but we want to be able to kill trash efficiently too as that keeps us healthy and keeps the Bone Spirit charges coming. Also, keep in mind that BotP only reduces elite damage whereas Toxin reduces all enemy damage.
Hope you get to try it out. Let me know how it goes!
Thank you for the detailed response. I appreciate how active you are on your build threads! I did not know that about charm, and I'll absolutely be trying that out now and seeing if I can get my aim better with it. I also didn't think about that with Toxin at all, but you're probably correct that it's the better option. Thanks for all your hard work on these builds; they're awesome!
Good job with this build. Finally a speed build that I like that doesn't leave you useless if you break the pattern when you stop to loot or have an accidental death from Molten or Arcane.
Funnily I was trying a build similar to this but was focusing on trying to spam Bone Spirit....it's shocking how low the damage is from the cold AoE rune even with all the dmg multipliers. So I gave up. The next day you posted this.
Glad you're having fun with the builds! Happy to hear it
Yeah I was basically just looking at potential sources of CC for Krysbin's and then I saw Possession and was like "Damn... a 10-second charm? And it recharges from consuming corpses which I'm doing constantly from Devour? Yeah, we'll do that."
Ghom can definitely be a problem if you're not killing him quickly. Keep in mind though that you can run up to him, hit him for a second or two and then run away and let your DOTs do some damage, let him follow you out of his stink circles and then do it again. Honestly though, if you're not killing him in pretty short order without doing that, you're probably pushing a little higher than you should be anyway.
Have you seen my NovaLancer build? GR80 is a breeze with it. I can do 80 in about 6 minutes with it and 85 in about 9. I basically use either SpeedSplosion or LazyStorm for anything through T13/GR60, LazyStorm for upwards of GR75, and NovaLancer for anything above that. have to say this is now my favorite necro build. its the d2 hurricane druid reincarnated. i am wrecking t60 with low paragon/gems. one thing i would like to ask. do you think hexing pants would be beneficial at higher grs? it seems to fit the build perfectly seeing as your are constantly on the move. say you drop blinded faith for hexing pants. between frosties in the cube, the dizzying rune on decrep and bonespirit, i think we would have more than enough cc to proc krysbins.
also is lost time not bugged? i'd assume there would be some sort of indicator on screen to tell you how many stacks you have. i have tried several cold skills and cannot tell if im getting speed buff.
either way thank you for this amazing build.
Basically what it comes down to is how quickly enemies are dying even if they aren't getting the full Krysbin's buff. At a GR60 level and under, for me anyway, they kindof just evaporate regardless. In a scenario where you can literally just run right by enemies and that's enough to kill them, Hexing Pants are more useful, and for me that's the GR60 range. When you get into GR70 it's still quick but not quite as quick and the problem I'd forsee is having to run in circles around enemies to ensure you're still getting the buff, and while that's certainly an option, I like just being able to stand next to enemies and then they die - it is called LazyStorm afterall haha. And as I said, in my experience Blind Faith becomes more and more useful the higher you go - when you're standing next to an enemy for a couple seconds, you're going to see it go off a whole lot more than you will if you stand near/run by an enemy for a second and then they just explode.
It works. It is kinda weird that it doesn't have an indicator since Decrepify: Opportunist does. If you open up your character details and look at your movespeed you can see it working though. It's actually getting triggered by the bone storm itself here, because Harvest of Anguish changes it to cold damage - this is how we're triggering Frostburn as well. If you run by an enemy and pass them, you'll notice a little blue circle near their feet - this indicates that the slow's been applied to them. BotT of course slows enemies as well, but only within a 15 yard range - if you run by (and hit) them with the bone storm with Harvest of Anguish + Lost Time you'll see they're still slowed after you leave that range (and you'll see your movespeed increase on your sheet if you check it).
No problem! Glad you're having fun with it!
At which %Crit chance do you go for Crit dmg.
Thy for the build good one
How are hex pants useful in a build that doesn't need resource? Hex pants don't increase dmg while moving anymore.

Would Parthan Defenders work with all the CC?
