Build Guide
Hi Everyone! I welcome you all to try a new pet build I developed with a buddy. Not another pet build! Right?? Well, don't worry. This is a "different" pet build. This build is another variant of your well known pet builds used with Bones of Rathma set. I haven't seen one out there quite like this yet. It offers a very unique play style that may take some getting used to. This isn't a "skip trash" type of build which the majority of Necro players are accustomed to by now. This is a "KILL 'EM ALL" type build. This might be just the type of build you've been looking for.
Since the Inarius set was nerfed about a week ago, me and a buddy were testing a bunch of different builds with Rathma in 2man GR70's. We tested for nearly 4 days straight swapping out 1 skill or 1 rune at a time. This particular build evolved into something very powerful. We were both amazed by its performance. I decided to test the build in a solo GR. I cleared GR75 in about 8 minutes with 1 mil sheet which was impressive - no augments and a handful of ancients. I moved up to GR79 with 1 mil sheet. Then I stopped to write this guide. I'm really having a lot of fun with this build and it has great potential for GR90+ with enough paragon/damage.
What's the idea behind "Frozen Bones" build?
The idea is to use all cold skills and proc as many freezes as possible. Freezes proc Krysbin's Sentence.
You must possess the following skills for this build to work:
1.) Bone Spikes - Sudden Impact. Frost Spikes is optional. They both proc Krysbin's Sentences in different ways. Frost Spikes can also proc Frostburn's 50% chance to Freeze enemies.
2.) Skeletal Mage - Skeletal Archer
3.) Command Skeletons - Freezing Grasp
4.) Command Golem - Ice Golem (Most of your damage will come from this proc.)
ALL of these skills are cold skills that have a 50% chance to proc Frostburn in your cube that will freeze your enemies.
How to Play?
The very first thing you should do when you enter a rift is proc Bone Armor. Group up some trash, proc Bone Armor and Blood rush back out. Then let your pets do the work.
Next you spawn 10 mages. DUH!
Now, this is the tricky part. You don't want to skip much. You will clear trash fairly quickly with this build. And, as you already probably, EVERY Necro set is squishy. So, the idea is not let range one shot you. You want to kill as much as you can in your path. Spamming Bone Spikes and Skeletal Mages as you move replenishing your Essence. When you get to an Elite pack., that's when you Command Golem to Freeze. Your Essence should be at max at this point. Then you Command Skeletons to burn the Elite pack.
Basic Attack Rotation:
Spam Bone Spikes>Spam Skeletal Mage>Command Golem>Command Skeletons
Basic Defense Rotation:
Run up to groups of trash and proc Bone Armor>Blood Rush back to safety.
There's not much else to it. I hope you guys enjoy this build! I surely am!
I'm using something similar to this build now that S16 has started. The only difference for me right now is I'm using Scythe of the Cycle and Tasker and Theo in the cube. I'm using a perfect roll ancient frostburn as my gloves.
Do you feel Shadowhook would be better than Scythe of the Cycle. There's a pretty big damage difference. Also, do the skeleton archers have a fixed attack speed? I don't feel like they attack as fast as the singularity mages but maybe I'm just observing wrong.
