5th passive skill on Hellfire amulet: Commander of the Risen Dead or Spreading Malediction
- Maximizing your damage
Trag’Oul’s Avatar 6 piece set bonus will grant you 3300% bonus to damage to your Life-spending abilities.
Skeletal Mage (Life Support Rune) is a Life-spending skill.
Jesseth Arms (Scythe and Shield) set will cause your minions (Skeletal Mages are minions)to deal 400% increased damage while your skeletons are commanded to attack a target. Also, when the target of your Command Skeletons dies, your skeletons are automatically commanded to attack a nearby target.
- Maximizing your damage
Use the Freezing Grasp Rune on your Command Skeletons skill will proc The Krysbin's Sentence 300% bonus to damage. Command your Skeletons to high HP mobs.
The Scythe of the Cycle will cause your Secondary skills (Skeletal Mage is Secondary skill) to deal 250–300% additional damage while Bone Armor is active but reduce the remaining duration of Bone Armor by 4 seconds. Make sure to recast your Bone Armor.
- Your Resource (Essence) & Survivability
You don’t need a generator for an Essence in this build, but if you want, you can use it instead of Frailty.
I like Frailty (Aura of Frailty) because it makes mobs die faster.
Devour will give you an Essence and with a Devouring Aura rune selected, it will become an aura (15 yards) that can be increased by 50% of your gold pickup radius.
Avarice Band ring + Boon of the Hoarder gem combo will give you high pickup radius and extremely high Armor (Survivability) combined with the Goldwrap belt.
Large Frailty aura will also give you bonus to damage combined with Spreading Malediction passive skill.
- Breakpoint & Variations
Best attack speed Breakpoint for Mages is 24 frames Breakpoint (2.5 attacks per second).
It only takes min. 6% AS on your weapon and 7% AS on one item and Tasker and Theo gloves in the Cube.
There are many variations to this build, but u will show you two.
- Reaper's Wraps - build that is so easy to play (my mom could play it) because you will not have problems with HP or Essence in order to cast Mages.
- Nemesis Bracers - build that is faster than Reaper's Wraps build because you could spawn a champion pack, but you have to be more careful with your Essence.

Awesome build, im currently 600p running on TXI pretty fast and smooth. Tried TXIII, it's pretty fast too but im too squish and instanced got one shot occasionally.

Fueled by Death passive is currently buggy, it does not stack with paragon & gear MS, and doesn't go past 25% gap.
If you have no MS, it stacks, but only up to 25%, not up to 30%. if you have 25% on items/paragon it doesn't stack at all. I keep it in case Blizzard fix this on some random Tuesday...so i don't have to rework this video. But yes, I don't have benefit from this passive at the moment., You can use Commander of the Risen Dead and/or Spreading Malediction
why do u need cdr on shoulders, shield and rings? there are no abilities within this build that require cdr, makes no sense to me...
For Blood Rush, so you can teleport more... but it is not essential.
Would Kymbo's Gold be a decent option for neck? The healing could help offset the life from the mages, plus even more gold haha
I was using it for the firs build. 3:50 in the video. So, yes.
The problem with no generator builds like this that rely on Skeletal Mages for pretty much all your damage is when you are stuck with no essence. It may be okay with 95% of the run. But when you are in a bad rift (thanks Blizzard, for the new areas where not a soul can be seen for long stretches of the dungeon), or when the Rift boss spawns when you are caught with no essence, you are essentially helpless. The only regen possible is Blood Rush leaving corpses, but that's so minuscule that it's pretty much a no help in that situation. Very frustrating when that happens. If it's a GRift, it's game over.
You can use generator if you want instead of Frailty. This build is easier to play than Singularity Rathma.
In GRs 100%, but in rifts it will depend on rift. When I am using my full paragon lvl, I am going with Gloves of Worship instead of Tasker and Theo.
If you have 10% as in paragon tab, 7% AS on your weapon and 7% AS on one item (gloves), you will be at 36 frames breakpoint.
Gloves of Worship will make shrine effects to last for 10 minutes.
Since Frenzy shrine is a common shrine (you will have 80%-100% up time on this buff), it will increase your attack speed by 25% and it will move you to 30 frames breakpoint.
Now, Tasker and Theo breakpoint is 24 frames, so you will only lose 20-25% damage with Gloves of Worship + Frenzy shrine, but if you spend your paragon points on Intel, you will do enough damage for T13
So, you will do enough damage for t13 + you have shrine effects for 10 minutes.
With Fleeting shrine you will gain 25% increased movement speed and with Empowered shrine your cooldown on Blood Rush skill will be 1.2 seconds - so, no need for In-geom.
